Everything had been made ready for the special presentation, and most students at the university had been given the opportunity to attend and should they want to bring a friend or family member, this would also be possible. It wasn't one that would have an impact on grades or finals, but rather it was a lecture regarding something that maybe not every student learned in their daily life or with their chosen curriculum. The specific speaker was that of the universities professor, who taught microbiology and epidemiology. He wasn't exactly known as the easiest professor, but he was fair and would support his students no matter what, they just had to actually do something. If they didn't try, and of course gave him the respect he demanded, he was known as an asshole and probably also one to fear. Some had in passing words called him the devil, while others either focused on his appearance or his teachings.
As people gathered and got a seat, many got in early and some just before the doors would close. Food and water had been given out by the entrance, as well as a plan for the presentation, that described when it would begin, how long it would take and then how much time there had been placed for questions. Most that knew of Paris, also knew coming in on time was extremely important, and if one wanted either better grades or the possibility of maybe asking questions before a class, one came in before the class would begin. While not the same with this type of lecture, a lot came in maybe 10-20 minutes beforehand, if only then to get a better seating or maybe even to get comfortable.
As the clock reached 8, the doors got closed and a man got to the front of the big hall, where all seats were pointing to. Finally reaching his spot, he raised his microphone "Welcome everyone, students and none students, to yet another great gathering. As many of you know, we like to gather people while inviting outsiders in, either to tell stories or share with us the knowledge they have for specific fields." The man smiled, as he glanced around the many people that had gathered together this Veriday "Today's speaker is our very own professor Sinclair, while on a minor sabbatical studied the dangerous Proctor Virus, which I've been told he will be sharing with us today," he turned his gaze to the side of the stage, before then looking forward once again "so why don't we give a warm welcome to Professor Sinclair." The Microphone got put underneath his armpit, and he started clapping, which made others do the same and with that Paris joined them, placing himself beside the other man, who suddenly appeared very small behind the tall professor.
Instead of the usual waving, that most would do when they got presented with a crowd of people clapping at them, Paris almost appeared more serious, correcting his glasses, as his eyes looked around the gathering of people, almost like a laser, picking out the smallest of details. It quickly got quiet, as the other man left, leaving back the tall professor, as he placed his things on the table and got ready "It's nice to see such a large crowd, I even recognize a couple of students," he commented, as he got his computer ready "But for those who don't know, my name is Paris Oliver Sinclair, I have a degree in microbiology and a PhD in epidemiology. I have spent most of my life studying what is considered dangerous viruses and diseases, while also lecturing on how to control it as well as contain it. I have also had a research position at the CDC for a number of years." Those who had him as a professor would already know this, as he would present himself with these facts, whenever he got a completely new class of people. Finally having gotten everything ready, he sipped from his coffee cup, that he of course had brought with him. The man more or less lived off Coffee and Whiskey, even his students knew not to be a bother until after he'd had his coffee, at least then he was a bit more cooperative.

Lucrezia always made sure to look her best. Perhaps it was this inner need to be validated for something so simple as her beauty, but it was also a way for her to express herself. Whenever she had her picture taken or was posted to social media, she knew the outfit was a story. Louisa had begged and pleaded with her to come to this lecture, so Lucrezia would make the most of it. She hadn't set her hopes high. A lecture about mirco-organisms or whatever it was Louisa had suddenly taken an interest to. Odd for a young woman who was studying digital art. But Lucrezia didn't question it. Perhaps it was just one of those things that maybe had an interesting premise or thesis, but it seemed more like a nerdy collection of biologists and future doctors who met her as she entered the lecture hall. Sighing she followed Louisa down to the first row, scoring a spot right in the middle, and that meant she couldn't ignore whoever would be speaking.
Tapping away on her phone she sent a short message to Eloise, hoping that they could see one another soon, but both had been pretty busy. At least they were good at scheduling when to see one another, but life as a socialite wasn't too easy. Not when Lucrezia had demanded that she could at least get a degree while she was stuck here in Churchill. As the guy stepped forward, she wasn't really paying attention much, but it seemed as if Louisa was on the edge of her seat. Did she think a rock star would step out any second? She smiled softly to herself at that thought, though she didn't have to guess much as the lecturer stepped forward, the scent of coffee following him as if it was all he survived on. While Lucrezia despised the taste of coffee, she didn't mind the smell. Though she could feel herself getting worried whether or not she would get nauseous after the hours had run out.
Regardless, she looked through the pamphlet as the professor introduced himself, and she found it odd that he went with professor and not doctor. Though maybe that was more of a snobby question that she better keep to herself.
Louisa was on the other hand seemingly losing touch with reality as the professor set up his things, and while Lucrezia could grant her that he was extremely handsome, she also found it hard to focus on that when the smell of coffee was all around. Placing her phone away, she leaned back in her seat, crossing her legs slightly and sitting more comfortable, taking a sip of her water. Right about now she felt the regret ticking in from having agreed to come here, but alas, she was stuck in the middle and surrounded by students. Though it wouldn't have been the first time she had gotten up to leave, something within her compelled her to remain seated and figure out this enigma that was Professor Sinclair.
