Sibling bonding

He kew that once his sister asked him to do something, it was because she knew he would do it. He could sit here and deny it all he wanted but the moment she’d ask, he was bound to do it. He watched her as she moved around. Most of the time, it felt like she was just some wild animal, taking her time to calculate when the perfect time would be to pounce at her prey. He knew she was here to help him, why else would she be here? He watched her as she sat down in front of him, leaning back into his chair. She slid into his lap and he placed his hands on the outer side of her thighs as he lookrf at her with a frown. “Everything has a price when it comes to you,” he remarked with a deep sigh.
Even if he wasnt really in the mood for all this, there was always comfort in her touches. In a way he couldnt explain. It was that familiar comfort that everyone knew from the moment they were born but also mixed with the soothing touch of a lover. Eden didnt know what kind of relationship was right or wrong when it came to Loralei. He let her decide what they did or didnt do, he always had. It was just how it had been since she came back. “She is. I’ve already considered erradicating her line specifically, as tedious as it would be,” he explained, but then he looked at her as he knew she already had something in mind.

He didnt answer her question but he knew she was right. He was acting on emotions and as unlike him as it was, it was counter-productive in every sense. He hadnt been raised to be a fool who wouldnt see the whole perspective. The reminder of patience felt weird because Eden wasnt typical to show impatiebce, at least not to the outside world. But his sister knew him better than that, better than most. That the cold exterior hid a fragile interior that was deeply in need of the control he sought out in the nephilim he was obsessing over. Not that Eden was weak because he wasnt. In fact his fragility only made him that more dangerous when things didnt go according to plan.
“If I get Gerard in the end,” he mumbled, clearly only caring about one thing in all of this. His fingers tenderly felt her skin on one side and fabric on the other, her suggestion making him sigh. How could he focus on any sort of playtoy when he knew Gerard was seeking the comforts of the valkyrie? He leaned his head back a little to expose his skin further for her. “I want a seraph just like him,” he said like a demanding child. Then his fingers softly digged into her skin. “I want a copy that I can tear apart,” he added, his eyes staring rather intensely into hers. He knew she would understand why he needed exactly that, because it would be the only way he might someday hurt the real nephilim if she wanted him to.

He didnt have to answer her question because they both knew the answer to that, she had only proven over and over how she never disappointed. Maybe it was because she was a product of that strict past she never spoke about but Eden had gotten a glimpse of in the way she behaved. He grit his teeth as she bit him, closing his eyes as he sighed before he looked at her. She was really enjoying this wasnt she? The fact that he bore all this frustration inside of him that he couldnt just take out on her if he wanted to. Because with her, he really didnt have much free will. Not that he ever questioned it or seemed bothered by it. Even if she was using it against him, knowing he couldnt get back at her.
He looked away as she mentioned going out, frowning a little. He wasnt in a mood to see anyone else than her or Gerard, but what could he do? She wanted to go out, so of course they would. “I’ll make the arrangements. I feel like things are going to get messy tonight,” he finally said, leaning closer to her as he reached for his business phone on the table. He inhaled the sweet scent in her hair before he leaned away, dialing a number before he placed the phone at his ear and looked up at her while he waited. His free hand was the one that touched her skin, moving up and down in gentle motions, feeling her soft cold skin against his own.

Her purr made him grind his teeth slightly because he couldnt figure out if she was mocking him or praising him. Maybe a bit of both. There was a wait on the other line and he just looked down at his hand on her thigh, slowly pushing the fabric of her dress further up for every stroke. Their relationship was weird, it always had been. But it was the only comfort they seemed to have in this world, the knowledge that despite everything, they always had each other to rely on. Her question made him grit his teeth, clearly a soft spot to be poking at, his eyes avoiding her gaze as he looked away. His lower lip trembled a little, her reminder feeling like salt in the open wound. Had she been here, she was sure that valkyrie wouldnt have been missing by her own will. And Gerard could have been looking for nought, forced to return once he’d realize his search was hopeless. Eden was really caught up on that moment that ruined everything. Allowing Gerard to go out.
“No. He didnt let me. But I should have done it anyway. Claimed what was rightfully mine instead of playing these dumb games as if he could ever come close to your worth,” he said like he had realized his own mistake and now felt so stupid. He had let himself be blinded by his lust when it came to the nephilim and it had clouded his judgement. “That’s why you did what you did when I left him the first time... Isnt it?” He then asked, but clearly it wasnt something that made him happy. He hated sharing anything that was his if it wasnt her he was sharing it with. “I’ve missed you,” he admitted, adjusting himself in the chair as he placed his hand against her side, feeling the fabric of her dress. But he wasnt going to do anything, at least not until she allowed him to.

He knew he was the one who had been in the wrong because he shouldnt have hidden Gerard away. There was just something he saw in the nephilim that he couldnt let go of. Something that he didnt think his sister would understand. Eden didnt see Gerard as just another victim and maybe he had been trying to establish some sort of relationship, which with Loralei was strictly forbidden. Because he knew that no matter what he did or how hard he tried, she would tear everything he’d build up down, and he would let her. Because he had always just let her do whatever she pleased. Even if it had seemed a little disturbing at first, it soon turned to comfort, to a want. He enjoyed her kisses, clutching his hands slightly to to constrain himself, his eyes softenung up as he valued the fact that she had punished the guy that had done what he did to Gerard.
Her question made him frown slightly as he narrowed his eyes at her. “You know I only look forward to seeing you, always,” he said in a sure tone. He wasnt the kind to jump to his feet and visibly show excitement but that didnt mean he never felt it. Her leaning closer made his hand clutch a little at the fabric around her side, swallowing hard as he looked into her eyes. “I know you wont,” he said, not in a bratty way like he already knew, but more a way to express his grattitude towards having her in his life, someone that he could always belobg, even when a rather annoying nephilim should have killed his mood completely.
He watched her get up and undo her dress, gritting his teeth a little as he wanted to reach out. He leaned back and watched her walk off, definitely disliking the thought of anyone seeing her naked. He was definitely more possessive than her, even if he wouldnt do much about seeing her with someone else, he more saw it as a challenge to show her why he was better. His servants knew what was going on between them. It wasnt exactly a well-kept secret between these walls, but that was why he had made sure to buy outcasts that relied on keeping their employment; They were really good at keeping secrets and that was all he really valued. He got up, letting his shirt stay open as he went out on the balcony with his cigarettes, popping one in the corner of his mouth before lighting it.

Once he had finished his cigarette, he headed back inside for a quick change himself. His clothes werent dirty but he had been wearing the same outfit for a day or two now; if they were going out, he was expected to at least put in the minimal effort of wearing freshly cleaned clothes. He sat in the window, looking out on the street, but he found this place just as boring as she did. There was nothing more boring than rich people who minded having their privacy. Down to the point where there were weekly bribes if one of the neighbours feared that their perverted lifestyle had been exposed to any onlooking eye. If they would just give less of a shit about their image and actually live life, Eden might have found them interesting. But even then, he just found them all mundane. How could sheep like them ever compare to someone like his sister? He turned his head at her voice, looking at her spin before he looked back at her. “A true beauty,” he simply said, not needing to say more.
He narrowed his eyes at the mention of lighter colours, shrugging. “You can just take them off before things get messy,” he chuckled, crossint his arms loosely in a resting position. The mention of their usual spot made him nod. He did remember how she was fuming when she had found out that he had brought Gerard there, the amount of anger in her voice as she had asked if her worth really was comparable to the worth of some boytoy? How he had wished she hadnt confronted him over the phone so he could show her she was wrong, rather than having to explain his actions. “They said they would get out the seraphim blood for us. So I guess they’ve missed you too,” he remarked before he got up and corrected his shirt, making sure everything sat perfectly fine.

Her question made him chuckle, the pouty expression making him look at her a little softer. Hadnt she realized what he had been meaning to say with all this? Well it was sort of cryptic, but he didnt mind having to say it either. How they had gotten like this was not something he would ever want to change, because that would mean he would lose the only person he truly felt like he could trust. He just couldnt bear the thought of being all alone, without her. "I'll need a guiding hand..." he started as he carefully ran his hand up her thigh, leaning closer as his talking turned to a faint whisper, "... To lead me down the road I'll have to go," he continued, a teasing smile over his lips as he looked into her eyes. "He really did try to poison my mind and take me away from you, so why would I not let you show him that he could never...?" he asked in a rather soft spoken, almost lustful manner before he leaned away and looked at her, his hand grazing her inner thigh. But that was all just a part of their little game and as soon as he had started it, he was pulling away, like ripping off a band aid.
