Hidden away underground, survival is key
Moderated by: @Andy

General information
- Unlike any other races existing today, the primary language for tieflings is the daemonic language.
- Their existence is mostly unknown, and if they are in the possession of a camouflaging potion, they can become nearly indistinguishable from humans.

Trivia
- Tieflings are known for their cunning and personal allure, which made them excellent deceivers as well as inspiring leaders when prejudices are laid aside.
- Although their daemonic ancestors can be many generations removed, the taint linger.
- Unlike daemons, tieflings are not predisposed to evil alignments and varies in alignment nearly as widely as humans, though tieflings are certainly devious.

Clans, cults and groups
- Small underground clan beneath the Wasteland of Torch

Creation lore
- Shortly after the establishment of Korinthia the daemons of Torch, the war was escalating. The daemons needed the upper hand with seraphim so close to their shore, and it was taken as a challenge to create a faster way to make more warriors. In the year 2678 BH it finally succeeded some daemons to create the first prototype. However at first they had no real personality, just strange horned and tailed but very beautiful creatures. As the years passed, male daemons found themselves sharing lonely nights with these creatures, and slowly but surely a new generation was born. However these creatures were much more wild in their personalities. While they still complied with the orders of the daemons, they found themselves asking more question.
- The war was coming to an end, but Justiae was not done showing her dislike with her children's war-games. Torch was eliminated eliminated, scorched by holy fire and flames. The creatures however had been smart enough to hide in the caves beneath what eventually became the Wasteland. Here the creatures adapted, grew their own culture and found a way to survive. After the worst fires had burned out, it was decided that once in a while a group of the creatures would go to the surface to savage, but keeping in mind to never get caught.
- While Torch is no longer a kingdom, the tieflings have found a home beneath their original homeland.

Lifecycle
- Pregnancy: A tiefling pregnancy is usually rather normal, very common to that of a human. It should be noted that the tiefling gene is dominant, and can easily appear if the two parents have tiefling DNA in them both.
- As a child: As children tiefling often show their mischievous side from a young age. Their horns slowly start to grow in around the age of 10.
- As a teenager: Through their teenage years a tiefling learns a lot from those around them. They are incredible at noticing small details, some they might remember forever.
- As an adult: A tiefling reaches maturity around the age of 20, however their horns may grow and change throughout their whole life.
- Death: What happens to them when they die is mostly unknown, however it is speculated they are sent to the Abyssus.

Looks
- Skin: Their skin tones cover the full range of human coloration, but also include various shades of red, purple and blue.
- Horns: Tieflings have large horns that take any of a variety of shapes: some have curling horns like a ram, others have straight and tall horns like a gazelle’s, and some spiral upward like an antelopes’ horns.
- Eyes: Their eyes are solid colors—black, red, white, silver, or gold—with no visible sclera or pupil
- Teeth: Their canine teeth are sharply pointed.
- Tail: They have thick tails, four to five feet long, which lash or coil around their legs when they get upset or nervous.

Personality
- Meeting a tiefling it is clear from the start that they are mischievous and cunning, always ready with a plan or atleast something of the likes. They are quite well versed in speaking, and it is said that they once were able to speak their way into better rights during the time of the Kingdom of Torch.
- Because of their looks, they are often misunderstood creatures, referred to as misfits and freaks if they appear. Some liken them to be the shadow of a daemon, as they look like what people think a daemon looks like in its original form.
- Lacking a real homeland, tieflings know that they have to make their own way in the world and that they have to be strong to survive.
- They are not quick to trust anyone who claims to be a friend, but when a tiefling’s companions demonstrate that they trust him or her, the tiefling learns to extend the same trust to them. And once a tiefling gives someone loyalty, the tiefling is a firm friend or ally for life.

Strengths
- Most if not all tieflings are ambidextrous, and are therefore very gifted in melee and close combat. This also makes them great at misleading as they could potentially distract with one hand and steal with the other.
- Because they have lived so long underground their eyesight have adapted. Therefor they are very capable of seeing in the dark, even if it is pitch black. Tieflings refers to this as their darkvision, as opposed to lightvision for those living above ground.
- A tiefling has incredible speed and balance, mostly credited to their nimble bodies and their tail helping them stay on track.
- Tieflings are immortal and could potentially live forever, however it is not seen as very feasible when living under ground, so they have resorted to an aging ritual that rids the underground settlement of older tieflings once every 50 years to make place for younger tieflings.

Weaknesses
- While light does not directly hurt them, bright lights can cause their eyes to irritate, as they are in other words very light sensitive.
- They are not as strong as a daemon, and it is more close to human strength than that of a daemon.
- Holy items (including blessed water) can hurt them, however it will never be as severe as with a daemon. They can build up a tolerance, but drinking blessed water will still prove fatal.
- While they are immortal, it does not mean a tiefling lives a long life, as they are quite easy to kill, much like a human. However they are quite persistent and some tieflings have shown great healing speed as well as endurance to pain.

Race ability
- Mark of Power: Tieflings can formulate daemonic symbols that can cause special events to occur, depending on the symbol that empowers the tiefling, they can achieve a variety of abilities. Some symbols may have a time limit or energy limit. Symbols have to be correctly drawn for it to work. May be limited to a specific time and/or place to draw the symbol.
