It was her own idea for them to go out. Even if she knew it would mean living hell if her mother ever were to find out. She had told her that she would be staying at Maddie’s and the way her mother’s face always seemed to scrunch up slightly at the mention of the vampyre only fuelled Tessa’s will to defy her in some way. “I do not want to go another day and not know what it’s like to go out clubbing,” Tessa declared in a chuckle as they walked down the street to western. She felt a bit of excitement and then something nervous all tangled up in a tight manner. She wanted to display some of that excitement, but she didnt want to stand out too much either. It was already enough that her peculiar style would do the trick for just that. “Think people will stare too much at me for the clothes I chose tonight or will they be too busy drooling over you?” She asked with a soft chuckle.

“Yeah I can tell, but there will be guys in there thinking no different no matter what you wear,” she said in all seriousness before a broad smile spread on her lips. She had definitely missed some alone time as well, the two of them just doing whatever they wanted. “Two girls just going to town for a night of dancing,” she said all innocently though she didnt have any ill thoughts with tonight. After all, Maddie was her best friend and she just wanted to spend as much time with her as possible, and in a setting that wasnt just Tessa taking pictures of her. She did have a picture of tonight’s look but she had promised to contain her urges. “You really aint going to let me stick to my insecurities huh?,” she said with a shake of her head but she appreciated it too.
In the line, Tessa stood a little on her tip toes to see how long they had to wait. The line was decent but the place was also pretty popular. She looked at the wine and grabbed it to take a small sip, scrunching her face at the bitter taste before sticking out her tongue. “Yuck. That’s the good stuff,” she remarked in a strained tone before handing it back. “I hope it’s not overcrowded. I’d hate to be pushed around on the dance floor,” she chuckled, looking at Maddie with hopeful eyes. “Do you think they’ll ask for... you know?” She asked with a raised eyebrow, unsure if the fake ID she had would even work. She had never tried something like this before, and she knew that her mother would quickly blame Maddie, even if it was Tessa who had planned and asked for it.

“That’s easy for you to say when you’re like the embodiment of attractiveness,” Tessa argued but let out a smile to show that she was just fooling around. Truth be told, she did feel good today and pretty too. Her makeup was light but enough to highlight the blue of her eyes, though she didnt like to go all out most of the time. It was just sort of to make herself look older instead of some child. The wine definitely wasnt what she had expected but she tried her best to not seem too affected by the strong taste. She was more of a cider-kind of girl anyway. Not so much any strong liquers or anything that really tasted like alcohol.
“Oh have you seen someone? Who?” She joked, looking around for a bit, just following Maddie’s gaze, before she sent her a soft smile. She did notice some eyes on them and wondered if they found it weird that a seraph and vampyre would be hanging out. Sure, she had heard many stories of how a seraph and a vampyre usually formed some sort of arrangement in the kind of the seraph getting money in exchange for their blood. The thought had however never crossed her mind since she had known Maddie for as long as she could remember.
The answer did ease her mind a little but she was tapping her heels slightly to tend the nerves that wouldnt seem to go away completely. Because one thing was going out, but if they couldnt come in, then they would have to go to some bar and Tessa didnt really like bars with the thick smoke-filled air and stench of dried old alcohol. She didnt mind people speaking to them but she was a little more hesitant. Not that she was introverted, but she was definitely feeling a little anxious about the waiting and the fake id’s and being too young. A lot on her mind up until they’d be allowed inside. She chuckled at the vampyre’s mumble but looked a little surprised as she yelled for the guy at the door.
It was like one thing led to another and then the guy was letting them inside. Tessa looked at the stamp and lifted it up in the light to see how it could glow under a certain light. “You’re so freaking cool!” She praised her with a broad smile, letting her hand fall down before locking their arms. “Let’s get something to drink,” she said, dragging them to the bar where she stared in astonishment at all the colourful drinks that were being made. “Oh my gods, I cant even decide!” She said with a shake of her head, looking at the menu card. She however chose a very pretty pink drink, not really caring what was put in it.

“Yeah to get a hot guy for the night. I’m definitely more of a looking for prince charming to love and accept me,” she argued, by the expression on her face it was quite clear that she herself found her words a little ridiculos even if it was the truth. It was a fantasy that she wanted to come true so badly, so could you really blame a girl for being naive? She was ready to jump in with both feet with Keith and just hope for the best but it wasnt like she giving up everything for just some boy. She couldnt react to having her phone snatched before she saw her message being deleted. “You’re right,” she said with a nod, placing her elbow on the table to rest her head in her hand as she lookef at what Maddie was doing on her phone.
“It’s not simping, I havent even sent him a single picture or anything,” she pleaded her case, chuckling a little to herself. She looked at her phone and sighed as the vampyre downloaded an app. “Alright alright, calm down cupid. I’ll be your love project some other day,” she said as she took her phone and slipped it back in her pocket.
She had finished her drink around the time where their song began and she nodded her head to the beat with a big smile. There really were no objections as Maddie dragged her towards the dancefloor, following willfully. “Fuck yeah. Now this is good music!” She yelled excitedly, moving her hips to the beat with her hands up the air. “Show me some moves!” She chuckled, not really afraid to have a good time even if they were around people.

“I’m not exactly the best at knowing what to do. Besides, all it is is just mindless flirting,” she shrugged, not really seeing the big deal now but obviously she would hurt the day he decided to move on and ghost her. Because she really wasnt offering more than conversations, and that didnt seem to be his intentions, at least in this moment.
But enough about the boys, it was their night and Tessa intended on having the best time tonight. While Maddie mostly seemed elegant, Tessa was definitely not afraid to move just the way she wanted to and then not care if people were staring and found her silly. As long as she could see Maddie find her funny, that was all she needed to know. A broad smile was sent to the vampyre as she came closer, Tessa singing, well yelling her heart out to the music. She did keep in mind to not be too loud, but that just came naturally from all the time they had spent together. She looked up for a moment to look at all the lights around them, noticing all the different colours mixing together. This place felt so amazing, like she never wanted the perfect picture of it to break or show it’s true colours. She looked back at Maddie and it was like she saw that glimmer of unease with such ease, but that just came from how she had had to halfway study her while they were taking pictures. She grabbed her hands to dance together and hopefully easen her mind a little.

She pulled a confused expression as Maddie spoke of her worry regarding Tyler leaving her. She just couldnt believe that the human would ever do something like that when he was as head over heels as he was for her. “Oh come on. Like he could ever find someone as smart, funny and beautiful as you. He probably thinks he’s the luckiest man on earth, dont put yourself down like that,” she assured her quite confident in her tone. It just didnt seem to be possible in her eyes. She nodded in agreement to not thinking further about it tonight, this was supposed to be a night of joy.
They got inside and had their drinks, oddly enough Tessa wasnt asking for a lighter drink like she had the first time. She listened intently during their conversation about Maddie’s assignment, a broad smile spreading on her lips as she felt honoured to be competing with Tyler. But she was sure it had been the same if the tables were turned. She then stirred around in her drink and sighed in contemplation. “How about... mixing us? Like a half n’ half thing. You’re free to do whatever right? So if you’re in doubt, mix it up?” She suggested, lifting her dink to take a small sip. She still liked the pink drink the best, though she didnt care to learn the name.

"Yeah sure, it definitely doesnt have to be a cliché, but I know you. You are a genius in your own art, just like me!" she chuckled, shaking her head a little though she definitely thought the vampyress bore a lot of potential that showed in the pieces she had seen. "What if you tried something new? Like using a method you havent before," she pondered but then Maddie spoke of something that Tessa thought was the best thing she had ever heard. "That sounds so cool!" she exclaimed in awe at the mere thought. If Maddie ever wanted to try something like that, Tessa would gladly lend her whatever she needed to take the photos.
The smile and her whisper made Tessa's cheek flare up a little in surprise before she started giggling. She lifted her hand to cover her mouth, biting back a smile before she let the hand drop and fall on the bardesk in a light thump. "I knew this question was coming at some point," she chuckled, shaking her head. Then she leaned a little closer and looked around as if she wanted to be sure that no one was spying on them before she sent Maddie an assuring nod. "I did," she whispered, unable to do anything else than just smile. "It was a bit.... uhhhh. I would say weird, but weird is a negative word, so I'll say interesting instead. Because looking back, I had just had some creepy encounter with some guy and not even a few hours later I'm making love to the love of my life?" she explained, chuckling a little, stirring her drink again before taking another sip.

She looked down for a second at the question but then sighed and shrugged. "It's a very long story. And it's not especially a fun girls night out amplifier in any kind of degree" she said, just to let Maddie know that she would talk about it, just not now because she felt like that would ruin the mood. She raised her eyebrows a little as Maddie mentioned her and Tyler doing it in the back of a car. "Oh my god. You couldnt even wait till you got home?" she asked in a soft chuckle, but she found it quite funny and somewhat sweet.
"Yeah. It wasnt weird or anything like that. He was just perfect," she said with a sweet smile over her lips. Just the thought of it made her stomach tingle a bit but she decided not to think further of it. She after all knew exactly what had gone down that night. "He is definitely not what I had imagined I would fall for. But then again, I think it's just nice to be with someone that sort of has their life figured out. All the guys I used to text before all just seemed too confused about everything to know what they want. But Gerard is way more clear on that front, like he knows exactly what he wants from me," she explained with a shrug. Maybe it was weird for her to be into someone who was older, but on the other hand it had been nothing but good when she was with him. And she had needed that security to know that she had a guy that wasnt just going to up and leave one day; even if it sort of had happened once with Eden. "The only minus is that vampyre guy who is obsessed with him. That I could happily live without," she chuckled but there was also something sad in her eyes at the mention of him. She couldnt even say his name without having her insides churn.
