“He was probably more than happy to get to skip class at any chance he gets..” - “But y-y-y-yeah he’s a prick.” He chuckled and then wanted to hear about her and the principal. Her words were a little cryptic but Abel liked the notion of it. Her question made him nod as he gestured for her to follow, holding the door for her on the way out. “Where do you wanna g-g-g-go?” He asked, sending her a soft smile. The hallway was pretty much empty, only a few passing to get to their locker or to class.

“Alright, I know where we can go then.” He said, nodding as she said she had to go to the changing rooms. Looking down he realized he probably should do the same. He was pretty quick about it and waited outside. If Zaira was still in the changing rooms, the door would slam open and the sound of clumsy walking was heard. A soft girl voice chuckled and the sound of kisses exchanging was pretty loud. “He punched you to go see that girl?” She asked, Kurtis chuckling before he sighed. “He really likes her, so I want to help out..” - “From the goodness of your heart?” - “Shut up.” The lycan chuckled, before they seemingly moved into one of the rows, fortunately not the one Zaira was in.
She sat down on the bench in the middle, and more kisses were heard, but she spoke. “Is she a friend now then?” and the kisses stopped for a moment. “Are you jealous?” - “No... but she is pretty.” She answered as the kissing continued. They were pretty much in the way so it wasnt like Zaira could walk off unnoticed by either of them.

The knock made the both of them turn their heads. The girl looked confused and Kurtis frowned a little. He noticed the dirty look and as she pointed out his cigarettes and lighter, placing them down, he felt the girl look at him. Shit.
The question was a little out of place and neither of them really answered. They were in a compromising position but it wasnt too bad, as Kurtis had only opened a few buttons on the girl’s shirt.
She left and Kurtis ground his teeth a little, looking at his lighter and cigarettes before looking to his girl. By the looks of it she was pretty upset by the revelation.

Abel stood outside with his gymbag around his shoulders, looking a bit around and digging the tip of his shoe into the ground. She came out and he smiled big. Her remark made him chuckle and also look at little curoius but she quickly disclosed who were in there. “It’s their usual s-s-s-spot. The teachers dont really go in there.” He explained.
He hummed a little as she mentioned cheerleading, looking ahead as he thought about it. “Maybe you can make it to captain here?” He asked. If she was good then why not?
She didnt want to wait anymore and he could understand if Kurtis and his girl had been doing stuff. But the moment they moved, the door sprung open and the girl was storming off while buttoning her shirt, Kurtis following after to try and stop her. She stopped and turned on her heel looking to Zaira with an angry look. “Hope he was worth the fuck!” She spat angrily, turning to Kurtis that was clearly trying to calm her down. She didnt even hesitate before she slapped him, or rather smacked him as hard as she could. The lycan stopped and she continued storming off. Abel blinked a few times before he looked to Zaira and then Kurtis, trying to make the connection. Then he frowned. Kurtis stood motionless, his head slightly tilted in the direction the slap had turned it, a red mark slowly forming on his chin while his shoulders rise and fall indicated a couple of deep breaths.

The girl was not happy about Zaira dragging her, grunting rather than screaming though, so no teachers would come yet. Zaira demanded her to apologize but she shook her head and crossed her arms. Kurtis however noticed though he was still just calming himself down. She left them and Kurtis watched her go.
Abel wasnt even sure what to believe. She was pretty convincing but so was his hurting heart. Just the thought of Kurtis doing something like that wasnt even surprising. She reached out for his hand and he took it, because another reality dawned on him. Since when had a girl shown actual interest in him? He wasnt really bad looking and rather nice but most were apalled by the way he stuttered. “Yes..” he admitted to her question looking down.
“I dont a-a-a-a-a... dont care if you fucked Kurtis or not. I just want t-t-t-to know you like me.” He said before he started pulling at her hand. “Lets go eat.”

Her complaint made him chuckle as they started making their way to a resturant nearby. He was clearly interested in listening to her go off about cheerleading, but he kept his answers short. He just didnt want to stutter and realizing that they were off to some date-like thing was making him a little nervous.
They ended up at the lake restaurant where he asked for seats outside. He ordered a sandwich.
“Sure.” He agreed with a smile as she wanted to compare schedules, though he didnt really have a phone so he had to list them on the top of his head. His schedule was however pretty consistent and ingrained in his memory so it wasnt too bad. “Where did you l-l-live before?” He asked once they had found out what classes they shared.

“Then you w-w-w-were someplace warmer than here.” He chuckled. He nodded as she went on to explain, eating some of his sandwich. “Yeah my parents were pretty much rooted h-h-Here last year or they would have planned on moving a-a-away.” He explained, but not really going further into why. He made a gesture towards his plate like he was allowing if there was more she wanted to take.
“They are, r-r-r-really. Only that you dont really see it when t-they’re out, t-they just look g-g-good and cordinated.” He said, knowing it was just a guy’s point of view, but her leaning a little closer to him did make his heart race a little. He chuckled at her question, shaking his head with confidence. “I’m not surprised if the p-p-principal placed a personal notice for e-e-every teacher to not comment on your c-clothing ever a-again.” He remarked. He then looked at her and carefully wrapped his arm around her. “You have a-a-a-a pretty u-unique style. I-I-I like it.”

"I dont really want to s-stutter." he admitted with a saddened expression. He remembered how bad it was when he was a kid and how Kurtis and Jeremy always stood up for him and went heads to heads with whoever that had dared making fun of it. But frankly he had just hoped that it was something that would stay with the childhood memories. The notion of bad handwriting made him wrinkle his nose. "My doctor has a f-f-fine handwriting." he chuckled.
She went on to explain something from her childhood and he listened, smiling a little as she was playing with his hair. Somehow he realized that english wasnt her native language and he felt a little dumb but he also didnt want to be stuck in his own mind when she was telling a story. "What did he do?" he asked. When she spoke in spanish he at first didnt really understand. But she quickly translated and he nodded before he drew in a deep breath. "It's sweet that he is so supportive of you, I wish my parents h-h-had a similar approach." he said sending her a halfhearted smile. Once they had finished eating, there was an ultimatum and he knew he had to lay it out. "Do we go back to school or just skip school completely today?"
