Healing isn't always easy | Eden

Try? That was a challenge that the lycan would gladly take, and he could feel how the vampyre was trying to restrain himself. However nothing could be hidden when Romeo could feel his emotions so clearly through their skin touching. He felt how his thighs were being grasped more firmly, smiling against his neck as he moaned his name. "Yes?" he teased as if Eden had called for him. And wasn't he? It sure sounded like longing to him. "Are you trying to tell me to stop?" Was he a little cruel? Maybe, but only in the way that he wanted Eden to be happy. Longing for him and perhaps a bit out of his mind, but happy nonetheless.
Sticking his tongue out, he licked along his neck and up to his ear, moaning softly into it, letting him hear how much he enjoyed this. "To think nobody can interrupt us .. walk in on us uninvited," he whispered sweetly in his ear, kissing the side of his head as he was in fact getting rather turned on as well. Not that he could really hide it in these loose pants. "I swear once you're all healed up I want you to make love to me on every possible surface in our home," it felt so good to say it. It was their home now. It was their space to decorate and live in. Smiling against his skin he moved his hands away from his hair, and around front where he played a bit with the vampyre's loose shirt. "I can't wait to be your husband .. belong to you in a way that nobody can deny," he was eager to tie the knot, so to speak, but wasn't that fair enough after everything they had been through? "Seeing as we'll be business partners I have a proposal," he said, his hands moving down and up under his shirt, touching the cold skin, slowly warming it up where he touched. "We take a month off once you're all healed; We get married in that time period and make love like crazy; And then we travel for a bit .. Maybe I'll even let you have me in a airplane bathroom again?" he was putting visual images into his head. He knew how he must've looked in that crammed space where they had no problem staying close. "Maybe we'll film a few more videos .. we might as well start a collection if one of us has to go on a business trip?"

He groaned softly, thinking how they were ever going to get anything done at home if everywhere they looked they would see a place they had made love. It gave him goosebumps to think about, panting softly as his cheeks were gaining color rapidly. Truly it felt so good just to sit here and tease him, and it wasn't like Romeo wasn't playing himself here. Gritting his teeth, he knew Eden was right. They would perhaps go everywhere together. How were they ever to function in a work setting? Well they had to. Romeo really wanted this to work out. He wanted to have Eden by his side for this new adventure. However he hadn't expected the vampyre to suggest watching it together. Romeo's cheeks were burning as he looked down, "I don't think I would like watching myself," he admitted in a soft murmur, but that was perhaps a given when he was still recovering. He at least didn't want to trigger himself.
Eden pushed slowly away, but the lycan truly hungered for that closeness and intimacy he was searching for in the vampyre. "I'm sorry," he said, releasing him a bit reluctantly, "was it too much?" He hadn't wanted to anger him or make him frustrated in a bad way. Romeo was just a sucker for this type of teasing, and he hadn't realized he was perhaps pushing it a bit too far when they had agreed to show restraints. He pulled his hands out from under the vampyre's shirt, wrapping his arms around him in a warm embrace. "You have to tell me when I go overboard," he muttered into his shoulder, hiding his face a little because he maybe felt a bit embarrassed to have pushed too far.

Eden reassuring him that he didn't need to be embarrassed was nice, but he felt a little out of step about this. It had just been so long since he had gotten to be around him like this. It was just really hard to hold back when all he really wanted to do was let loose. The tender kissed soothed him, however as the vampyre pressed closer he had to let out a soft gasp. He knew he had that effect on the man he loved, but it was like feeling that longing was so new and special every time. Romeo kissed his forehead gently, resting his lips against his skin, just pressing his nose into his hairline. He needed to calm down, so he opted to just sit there for a while.
"Maybe I should get starting on prepping dinner," he sighed. He had to keep up his routine, even if it was still hard to do so. "Do you want me to cut your apple into slices for you?" he smiled as it was a gentle tease, but he would also do it if the vampyre wanted him to. Stealing a few more kisses he got down and off the counter, looking down to see that he was still showing a bit, sighing at the sight. This was tough. But they had to these days.

"N-no, I think I got it," he assured him, but he was thankful for the suggested help. He just wasn't ready for all of that, even if he would like to imagine them cooking together in the future. At least he thought that far on good days. And today felt practically perfect. He watched as Eden left for the bathroom, standing for a bit as he was a bit in his head, thinking of how he was looking in the shower. How he wanted to touch more of his skin. But alas, he had suggested to start cooking, and he wanted to get it over and done with.
He ended up making an easy pasta dish with a bit of chicken and a lot of vegetables. He wasn't too crazy on the dressing, but did add a little oil and some balsamic vinegar. It would at least make it taste a little tangy. Placing the finished dish by the table he took his time. He often had to gage the seat and plate for a bit, which might've looked crazy if Eden had stayed. It was a process, just like the vampyre's healing was.
Eventually he managed to eat about half of the plate before he started to feel a bit nauseous. He had had a fair bit more food than he usually had at this time of day, so his stomach was hurting a little. He packed the rest of the dish in a small container, not wishing to waste the food when it had actually been pretty decent for him. Once the kitchen was cleaned and he had put away all the ingredients, he looked at the fruit bowl. It felt like the apple was looking back at him with how shiny it was. He hadn't ever really been a fan of apples.
Eden was probably done with his shower at this point, and so Romeo went to lay on the couch for a little while, just letting his stomach settle.

Romeo was just laying on the couch, a hand on his stomach as he closed his eyes for a while. He hadn't really heard the water turn off and as Eden dumped the pyjamas set on him he was a bit surprised, opening his eyes to feel the smooth material. Matching? "Alright," he smiled, getting up to go change in the bedroom.
He returned, fiddling a bit with the string around his waist as it wasn't really his size. Well the length of the pants fit, but it was way too big around his hips. But maybe that was part of the look? If Eden was still out smoking he would take his time to find a couple of soft blanket that seemed scattered around the place. He placed them by the door that led down to the garden, humming as he went to the kitchen to grab glasses and fishing the sparkling wine out of the freezer. He liked it cold, but not so much that he would get a brain freeze over it.
The sun was descending, and he knew that it was going a little faster at this time of year where they were getting closer to autumn. He went ahead, taking the blankets down into the garden. He looked up at Eden at the balcony, "grab some pillows and throw them to me," he called for him, though he knew the vampyre could hear him just fine. He was smiling. Genuinely happy for once that they could go on a semi-date in the garden.

Romeo was just a little giddy tonight, and it perhaps showed. He caught most of the pillows, though some did hit his head or the grass around him. It was alright, chuckling it off as his hair looked a bit of a mess. He went to arrange the blankets and pillows, having a clear vision in his mind. As Eden joined him he was just about done, humming softly as he weighed out the question, "I think I got it," he nodded to himself. It would be dark soon, the sun having already descended beyond the horizon. The sky was a dark purple by now, the moon bright in the sky already, but the stars couldn't shine through just yet.
Romeo laid down on the blankets, adjusting the glasses and bottle of sparkling wine so it wouldn't be out of reach. He pulled Eden down with him, snuggling in closer as he kissed his lips rather gently. He just wanted to spend some time tangled up in one another. The whole day had been a test for both of them, and it would continue to be so for a while it seemed. "I actually sorta missed you smelling of cigarettes," he teased him softly, but perhaps it was because the smell of cigarettes was just linked to the vampyre. He kissed his chin, running his fingers down over the silky material of the pyjamas he was wearing. "Why did you want to match?" he asked, not sure what that was about.

"I don't think you could ever smell unappealing to me," he admitted. Maybe it was because he was just so head over heels for the vampyre, but everything about him just drew him in. And Romeo refused to believe it was because of anything but the love he felt for him. "But I do appreciate you not smoking indoors," he added. It was rather considerate of the vampyre, seeing as it was his home too. Of course Eden had always been considerate of it, but it did feel nice regardless.
His question wasn't replied at first, instead he was distracted by the soft and slow kiss, returning it gladly. It felt so good just to lay here. In their garden. In their home. And Romeo felt so lucky that he could do this with Eden. The reasoning was simple, but it only made it cuter as there clearly hadn't been much thought about it besides it being cutesy. Romeo could respect that, because they needed something like that right now. His mutter made him frown, "why wouldn't it be a good memory?" he asked, his fingers playing a bit absentmindedly with the collar of Eden's pajamas shirt. It had such a soft and silky texture to it, almost cold because of how soft it was.
The next admission made Romeo chuckle, closing his eyes as he was showered in kisses. Had he ever thought they would be laying like this, almost innocently kissing and being close, he would've called them fools too. But maybe they were, and Romeo would happily be a fool as long as he got to feel this good with Eden by his side. "You seem almost eager to me," he admitted in a soft tease, opening his eyes to hopefully meet those blue green orbs that he cared so much for. His own eyes were shining a bit in the moonlight, but it was usually like this; The hazel in his eyes showing hints of his lycan golden garnet color.
"You still need to be mindful while you're healing," he argued, pushing Eden back lightly so he would lay on his back, "at least try to." He leaned over the vampyre instead, leaning down to kiss along his jaw, his breathing a little unsteady as he felt so drawn to him. And the moonlight wasn't helping him much in that regard. "I'm really looking forward to when you're all healed up," his voice tender and vulnerable, because he really meant it. Seeing Eden hurt was the worst thing in the world, and he would do anything in his power so that the vampyre had a good recovery.

"I'm not happy," he admitted, touching the vampyre's cheek gently with his warm hand, palming his face as he studied his eyes. "I'm relieved and grateful that we are here together right now," it really hadn't been easy on the lycan to sit every day in the hospital, waiting and hoping that he would just open his eyes and speak. He studied the vampyre's chiseled features; His strong brow; His deep eyes; And not to mention his soft and warm smile. He was so full of life even if he was still recovering, he wasn't as pale as he had been in that bed. It had been scary, but he didn't want to remember the bad things now. No, this night was for them living. To celebrate their new life together.
His compliments made his eyes soften up more, if that was even possible at this point. The admittance made him chuckle, nuzzling their noses together. "You say I'm the cute one?" He teased with a small smirk creeping up on his lips. His thumb reached down, running along the vampyre's lower lip, gritting his teeth a little as he found every part of him so kissable. Or maybe that was just how they were with each other. "I guess I should be careful what I wish for if you would just do my bidding," he muttered, though he didn't worry too much. Eden was a rational man deep down, so if he made a crazy request, he would be sure to warn him beforehand, right? "I was thinking we could call for a private doctor to come see you? Check up on your healing and we could do it here at home?" He knew he wouldn't be able to drag the vampyre to a hospital anytime soon, but a doctor hired by them and paid by them ought to not handle Eden like some sort of experiment. At least that was what he hoped for.

Eden sat up and Romeo could accept if he was angry or perhaps the lycan har ruined the mood. He looked down at the last statement he made, "is it really so bad that I worry about you? After what I've just gone through?" He asked. He was sad. Mostly because Romeo himself had accepted help when he had been struggling. Wasn't it fair that Eden did the same? "I .. yesterday night .. when you started to throw up blood and convulse in pain?" He shook his head, tearing up as it had been such a horrid sight because of how scary it had been. "Eden I can't handle getting you back just to lose you again," he said, looking to his vampyre, his eyes pleading at this point. He loved him so much.
"I got help even when I thought in my head that I didn't .. I don't feel like I'm asking for much," the suggestion had moreso been about Romeo's state of mind. He wouldn't know what to do if Eden got worse again. Who knew if his blood could save him a second time? "Please, Eden, if not for your own sake, then for mine," he grasped softly at his shirt, almost desperate because he couldn't bear the thought of being incompetent. "You can pick the doctor yourself, you pick the times they come around and when they have to go; I just need to feel like I'm not just sitting by waiting for the next time you start throwing up blood and I can do nothing."

It wasnt bad that Romeo worried, but he had been there to see how doctors had gotten them nowhere close. Did Eden even have to bring up the ones that had tried to kill him? No, that would be too far. And Eden wasnt looking to pick a fight. And yet the question brought forward a dark memory. After what I’ve just gone through? just pulled it forward, making Eden frown and feel so sad. But he would hide it as well as he could for now. No, Eden could understand the feeling of being scared, feeling useless and waiting. But he was doing much better already, no thanks to the doctors or any sort of medical professional.
Romeo began pleading with him and he felt the grasp on his shirt. He could feel the desperation even without the ability to. Eden’s face was maybe a little stern compared to the lycan’s. He looked around his face, before he stopped at his eyes. He had weighed out the options, but then he had also realized that he had two angry children out for blood. “It will draw attention to us. It’s not worth the risk..” he shook his head. He would have said more but somehow he had a feeling that the lycan woulf object before he could even finish.

Romeo's heart was beating faster, but not for the good reasons that Eden usually made his heart beat. It was aching. Hoping the vampyre could see the logic in this, despite the risks. That was why the answer disappointed him, and he felt speechless. He would've objected, but instead of reacting he just sat there with an empty feeling in him, blinking a few times just to really see if he had heard it right. "So .. When I need help, I need to be stowed away from you to some facility .. but when you need help you can't even accept it being in our own home?" his voice broken as he genuinely felt hurt by this. He loved him too much for his heart to handle losing him. He hid his face away in Eden's chest, hugging himself close as he didn't want to fight about this. It wasn't even a fight to be had. He just wished he could be listened to just every now and again. Did he not respect him enough to listen to his advice? Or was he simply too stuck in his ways that even reason wouldn't penetrate the stubborn façade?
"I'm going to bed," he muttered after a while. He couldn't just lay here and pretend like none of this had taken place. He got up unless the vampyre stopped him, wanting to just go hide away. He felt so inadequate. Like he couldn't even convince the love of his life to get help. What sorta husband would be like this? He was quite clearly beating himself down about this.

Maybe Romeo wasn't being fair. Maybe he was being irrational and should look at their safety as a first priority. But safe to do what? Watch Eden suffer again? He swallowed as Eden was insistent on them talking it out. Through their touch he felt something he hadn't ever felt through him. Was it disgust? Anger? He wasn't sure as he turned his head, tears running down his face as he a bit unwillingly sat down. "What exactly is there to talk about? The fact that you're right and I'm wrong?" he asked, and while any other day it might've come off crude and mean, he sounded more defeated. Even on the darkest days in the hospital had he ever felt like this. He looked down, shaking a little from all the hurt and fear inside of him. "It's not living if it's not with you," he said, not trying to defend his actions. He had tried to kill himself, he had tried to make the hurt stop because his body had been giving in. Because no matter how hard he had tried he couldn't stop thinking about him.
"The day they injected the venom into you," he said, gritting his teeth as he felt a bit overwhelmed, but he wanted Eden to know. He owed him honesty as always. "I was making plans in my head .. What I would do if you succumbed and was suddenly not there anymore." He couldn't even get himself to say the word dead. It would only make the tears burn more in his eyes. "Losing you would be losing a part of me that I can't live without, he said, finally meeting Eden's gaze, a sad smile on his lips. "I thought of so many things," his throat closing up, "I felt like I deserved to die because of what my blood .. my body .. had done to you." The guilt was so clear in his eyes. He couldn't have handled that.

Sure his blood had worked this time. But the other times it had caused horrendous things to happen to the vampyre. It wasn't easy knowing that what was inside of you had the potential to hurt the one you loved the most. Hurting is not dead, that much was true, but was it really living? "Less than?" he shook his head, moving closer, cupping his face between his hands, his thumbs caressing his cheekbones as he searched his eyes, "you are the love of my life, my husband to be; you are everything to me." He felt that raw emotion, leaning in to kiss his lips tenderly. He missed the intimacy that was for sure, but there were other ways to be intimate. "Once you're healed don't pretend like you won't make up for all the missed out lovemaking," he scoffed against his lips, nuzzling their noses together. He kissed him again, leaning away to look at him, hoping he wouldn't push him away.
"I feel like we need to get away for a while," he said, touching his face so delicately, as if he was holding the most valuable thing in the world. And he was. Eden truly was everything to him. "Let's go to our little town .. We can go pick out a crystal, have it ready for us when we'll place our wedding bands on each other's fingers," he suggested. That town was the perfect getaway. They would return to it for their wedding, so perhaps it was good to go there, just to plan out everything and book an official to wed them. "I bet the warm waters inside the cave would do you well," he added.

Even if Eden never got as strong as he had been, then Romeo would still love him. It didn't matter. What mattered was that they were together, right? At least he wasn't pushed away, but he did feel that the kiss wasn't as affective as it usually was. They still had some things to work out, but he wasn't sure how to tackle it. He nodded at the mutter, agreeing to it as he couldn't do anything else. The question made him look down, thinking it through before he just blabbered something out that wouldn't be good for any of them. "I think sometimes you get in your head about what is best for us before involving me," that was a good way to put it. He grit his teeth a little, letting go of his head to rub his own cheeks dry, but it only resulting in them flaring up red.
Taking a deep breath he looked at Eden after a bit of time. "I know I might come off as pushy and needy, but it really all stems from the fact that sometimes I feel like I have to yell to be heard," maybe it was still some unresolved trauma in him that he needed to work on. And of course it wasn't fair on Eden that he acted like this. "If we had sat down, talked about it and not just you saying no without putting in some reasons for me to understand your point of view .. Maybe I would've agreed with you," he said, trying to think it all through though his emotions were still ravaging his body. Reaching down he took his hand, giving it a squeeze, looking at their rings. "We're partners .. We're supposed to butt heads every now and again .. But being denied something without reason, when from my point of view it's perfectly logical, hurts and makes me feel like you won't listen." He was trying to choose his words wisely. He wasn't looking for them to hurt more, but this was something they needed to talk about.
"I trust you .. This isn't a question about that .. But involve me in your thought process, even if you find it miniscule it means a lot to me."
