Healing isn't always easy | Eden

He looked at the lycan as he looked down, letting him take a moment to consider his words. It was maybe about time they just took a few breathers as they spoke and didnt let the conversation be lead by emotions. Romeo's reply made the vampyre think about it for a bit. But he nodded in agreement. He did recognize that he did that often, for what he thought might just be saving them time. Their eyes met again and Eden shifted between his eyes, listening to him. He nodded softly. It hadnt been his intention to make the lycan really feel like he wasnt being listened to.
"Yeah..." he agreed softly. He felt the warm hand grasp around his, looking down at their rings as Romeo did the same. He moved his other hand over the back of the lycan's, holding the warmth between his cold hands. No, Romeo was right. Eden had been too quick to just dismiss it. But frankly, it maybe hadnt been that big of a deal for him as it had been for the lycan. And for that, had he wronged him. "I'm sorry my love." he muttered, lifting their hands before he kissed his knuckles. "Okay so... Let's try again then? We'll talk about it." he urged him, wanting to right his wrong. Turn it into a conversation that they should have over him just making a decision for them when Romeo's intention were nothing but good.

Romeo appreciated that this time around Eden actually listened. It wasn't always easy for him to talk like this. He was very driven by emotions, as any lycan was, but more so around Eden because he had broken his walls down. The way his hand was so gently held by both of the cold made him smile a little, just because it was such a good feeling. He knew that Eden hated admitting his wrongdoings, but his apology was accepted. He suggested trying again and he nodded.
"I think it would be wise to have a doctor to just do small checkups, " he said, that was all he really wanted. Just an assurance that what they did was helping the vampyre in the ling run. "They could come here, check on your heali g process, but not tell them about how we are helping you heal," with that he of course alluded to the lycan's blood. He looked down, taking a deep breath, "I know you are not a fan of doctors of any kind," looking at the love of his life once more, he spoke softly, "but it would put my mind at ease."

Not trusting anyone to enter their own home made him nod, agreeing that it was a fine compromise. If it would help with Eden's part of the problem, then it was alright. He listened, just as attentive as the vampyre had been towards him, because frankly he owed him that much. They were still trying to learn how to communicate, and now that they were living together and facing danger outside of that, they simply had to discuss these things. "Yeah, I think it would be wise to not just let it be any doctor," he agreed. He wasn't looking for any of the twins to get news that Eden was alive. At least not until he had recovered to a point where it was worth taking up the fight. While the lycan part of Romeo would love to act now, his logical personality told him to wait it out.
The following question made him frown as he thought it through, "I would like to, but I think me going with you would draw too much attention .. I wouldn't say I am being watched, but we honestly don't need to risk anything that might go on a record," he was hopefully giving Eden an answer he would feel comfortable with as well, giving his hand a soft squeeze. He knew the vampyre was worried for him, he had seen what the silver had done to him, and he wasn't looking to have Eden see him on the brink of death until he was very old and grey. "I do want you to tell me everything, not hiding when it hurts or if there's anything we need to assess at home."

"Within a week is fine, but I do want to help you look over the options; Just so we don't miss anything," he said, that was at least his part of the bargain. He would want to look at the selection and help where he could, "of course your say is final, but at least I would've said my opinion." He wasn't going to argue about a doctor that was for Eden, but just knowing that he had helped made him feel a bit less terrible about all of this. He leaned in closer, pressing his forehead to the vampyre's cold one, closing his eyes for a little while. Yeah, this had felt very good. "Is there anything more you want to add to this?"
If there wasn't, Romeo would lean away briefly, looking up by chance as he saw the stars above them. Of course here in the city they weren't as bright, but it seemed that they could still catch the view of some of the brighter ones. "I'm really looking forward to tomorrow," he admitted. He had wanted to go back to their town for a while now, and despite everything it would be the two of them together. "It will be our first time in a while that we'll be out and about," it was clear it meant a lot to him that they were actually going away for a bit. It at least could help the two of them relax as nobody would know them out there. "Do you think our moans are still echoing off the walls?" he asked, feeling his heart beat faster at the thought alone.

The soft complain was all he had to say to know that things would be alright. He was pulled down, snuggling up to him as his face was turned towards the sky. It felt cozy, just the two of them laying in their little garden, in their new home. Nothing could beat that. Well perhaps the nights they would spend in their little town, but then again that place held a spot of almost nostalgia at this point. "We need to go there if we want to pick out a crystal," he pointed out after thinking it through, though the thought of Eden not being able to contain himself made his stomach rush with happy emotions. He knew they still had to be weary of his condition, but it wouldn't stop Romeo from thinking about stuff like that.
"I want us to get a house there," he admitted. He was a city guy through and through, but having a small get away place they could go to to charge up would be nice. Besides if they were planning on kids in the future, the town would be a perfect place to go as a family. Family. The word alone made pleasant shivers run down his body. "It doesn't have to be anything spectacular; Just a place that's home away from home, you know?" His hand just absentmindedly touched along the vampyre's torso, feeling up the soft silky fabric of the pajamas. It was still rather cute that they were matching, he had to admit that. Turning his head he kissed Eden softly on his cheek, smiling against his skin as he felt much better after talking things through. He relaxed more, perhaps because now he knew that Eden would at least seek some sort of help, even if it was just a check up.

"I think of you always," he replied with a soft scoff, but it was also true. The vampyre never strayed far from his mind. He sighed as he was just held, wrapping his own arm around him as well. It felt really good to have closeness like this. "I guess when I look at the stars I feel sorta small," but that was perhaps a normal way to react to the entire universe practically unfolding up in the sky. "But I also feel comforted, because no matter where we are the stars will always be the same," he spoke softly now, his hand just caressing his side gently.
"I think more of you when it comes to fireworks," he chuckled at the admittance, but it had been where they had had their first kiss. It was that moment, that single point of no return that stood out to him the most. Their lips had crashed, holding back the whole day and then finally getting some of those pent up emotions out. "Just your face in the lights from it, how your face changed so subtly in that moment and you softened up," he said, his cheeks warming up at the thought, "I think I fell in love with you at that moment without even realizing, because no one had ever looked at me like that."

"Not very much, but after was pretty good," he chuckled, smiling as he looked at the vampyre. It was nice to see this more silly and relaxed side of him. Especially after the rollercoaster of days they had had. He even had to admit that the comment about squishing the stars were rather cute, not that he would tell the vampyre that just now. The transparency made him hum. Back then he had thought very much in the same line, but looking back it felt almost weird. And yet it seemed that everything had fallen into place anyhow. "I guess you got stuck with me, huh?" he teased lightly, just enjoying being in the moment.
Romeo had to admit he had forgotten completely about the wine, but alas he didn't really feel in the mood for it right now. "We can save it for another day," he said, pressing himself closer to him, smiling as their mixed scents filled up the limited space between them. "I don't feel like moving away from you right now anyways," he added, just letting him know that he would always pick Eden and his comfort over anything.
He could feel the way the vampyre touched his shirt, but it was a nice feeling. "Do you want to .. Maybe open it a little?" he asked, being a bit vulnerable as he was still rather self-conscious about his body, but with Eden he felt safe. Nothing could harm him as long as he had the vampyre by his side. "Just because we're not having sex doesn't mean we can't touch each other's skin," he reminded him in a soft whisper.

He nodded. Of course he would tell him. It was all a process to him too to figure out how much he could handle. Sure the last time they had been intimate he had gotten completely naked, but that had perhaps also been something to do with the fact of how much control he had let loose of. His breath hiccupping softly as he opened a few buttons. The evening wind hitting his skin, and the soft touch of the cold hand felt so good that he had to sigh. It wasn't anything special if you looked at it from an outside perspective, but just the fact that Romeo was letting him do this was a big step in the right direction. He enjoyed the eye contact a lot. It made it feel more intimate, more like there were only the two of them left in the entire world. The compliment made him smile, looking at him a little vulnerably. Eden had really taken to complimenting him more directly and words couldn't describe how happy that made him.
However if the vampyre reached the scar on his neck he would grit his teeth a little. It was still tender to the touch, especially after Eden had drunk from him yesterday night. It wasn't infected or anything, but a lycan had a harder time healing from a vampyre bite regardless of the intention. It was just in their biology. "Maybe we should get some tears .. If you plan on drinking from me again it would be nice if the new bite could heal a little faster," he admitted. Of course the scar was way past ever being able to heal, but that didn't mean that the new spot didn't need tending to. "I've really missed your hands," he had to admit. Sure, Eden was good at touching him, but his chest and torso was one of the areas that Romeo still struggled with. "Do you think .." he said, his words getting stuck in his throat as he wasn't sure if it was asking for too much. "Could you kiss me?" he asked, gesturing down to where his hands were touching his exposed skin. He wanted to try it. Wanted to feel that simple love that had so many layers between them.

More buttons were opened and Romeo felt himself blush, but he couldn't look away. The arm around him, holding him in a safe embrace was the best feeling in the world, however the kisses surprised him a bit. They were so soft, and despite the lips being cold, he enjoyed them a lot. He sighed softly, his head falling back for a second as it was a bit overwhelming, but also terribly good. He was safe. He was with Eden. Opening his eyes he looked down, his lower lip quivering at how tender this felt. "Eden," he sighed longingly, his hand moving up to grasp softly at the vampyre's matching shirt. His breath was hiccupping still, feeling very stimulated from this simple touch and it wasn't easy hiding it in these silky pants. He couldn't help it. Maybe it was just the curse from loving the vampyre so much.
"Feels .. good," he managed to say though in a tender whisper, drawing out his words as he honestly thought this was a dream. The stars above them, the soft blanket beneath and the vampyre's arms wrapped around him. Could he truly ask for more? If Eden were to try to open more buttons he would tense up, "no more please," telling where his limits were. This was nice, the kisses could continue along with the touch, but he didn't want the shirt all the way open. It was actually about halfway open at this point, and that was far beyond what he had been able to before. "Your lips feel so perfect against my skin," he couldn't hold back a small moan if Eden continued with his kisses. "I really like when you're cold and I get to warm you up like this." Even if the heat was fleeting, it felt good to know that he had been the one to provide the heat.

He was made for him. Oh what a marvelous statement, reaching the lycan's ever beating heart as he could do nothing but groan softly in reply. He was his. And it wouldn't be long before they could claim each other as husbands. The way Eden dragged his lips over his skin forced out a few more moans. The remark made him smile a little proudly. It wasn't even something big, but just knowing that the vampyre's body was heated by only his skin. The way Eden looked at him right now felt really good. Like he was being admired but without a single word spoken as his garnet eyes glimmered slightly in the light from above. The blue green orbs that met him made him feel weak to his knees, but the slight questioning made him look down.
"Of course it's good .. It's your lips on my skin," he muttered softly, not sure if he was being lightly teased or what. But it didn't really matter, looking back at the vampyre his hand slowly let go of his shirt, moving up to cup his face. His thumb running along his lips, feeling how warm they had gotten made him feel shivers running down his spine. "Thank you for giving me time to adjust," he suddenly said. He knew it was perhaps the bare minimum, but for a guy like Romeo whom had always had to deal with his trauma on his own, this was a great help. Leaning in closer he kissed his lips as he couldn't help but chuckle a bit, "wow your lips really are warm, huh?" Though it didn't stop him from stealing a few more kisses. His free hand moving down to Eden's shirt, and with his permission started to open up his shirt as well. "You wanted to match, right?" It was the brat in him, but he didn't open more buttons than he himself had undone. His jaw trembled a bit as he pulled Eden closer, their chests touching bare skinned where the shirt was open. The familiar cold hitting his skin made him smile, "You really were made for me."

He shook his head, "I promise I won't; but I do need reminders every now and again," he smiled, though he had to grit his teeth a little as the vampyre adjusted himself. It felt too good, and as Eden said they were perhaps passing into a territory that was more of a grey area. But Romeo didn't care. He knew they had to be mindful, but they weren't doing too much, and if Eden felt strained they could stop rather easily. "Sometimes it feels like my heart is beating for the both of us when we're this close," he said. It wasn't really something he had tried to describe before, but the lack of beating heart on Eden's behalf didn't upset him. Especially not when he could feel how alive he was here in his embrace.
"Have you thought of names?" he asked, just playing with Eden's hair for a bit. He wasn't quite sure if Eden even wanted to change his name, it had always been a matter of Romeo changing his. The vampyre was also in his right to keep his name. Basically the lycan would do whatever he decided on. "I know you haven't had much time to think, but maybe we could just throw some names out there," he suggested. At least they could listen out loud what their names would sound like. "You start," he pulled the brat card, smiling as he looked at the man he loved so dearly, gritting his teeth in pleasure at their chests still rubbing together.

Switch his names around? Well he supposed that was possible, as long as he could still call him Eden. In Romeo's family it wasn't common to get a second name, so he was stuck with the one he had; Not that he minded it, as he liked it quite a lot. The suggestion of Moore was a bit surprising, mostly because it felt so .. Normal? At least compared to a name like Parish, but then again if it was privacy Eden longed for it would be fitting. The question was returned, because they were both supposed to find a name befitting of their family.
"I'll be honest I've gone back and forth between names," he admitted, just feeling how the vampyre's hand was touching his back slightly. It wasn't uncomfortable, and he felt rather relaxed by it. Same went for the thumb rubbing his side, making him smile a bit when he thought of it. "I was considering some Italian names .. I know you're not Italian, but it's my heritage, and if we have children together I want them to know that I'm proud of where I come from," wasn't that fair enough? They weren't going to live in Italy, so perhaps Romeo could always carry a piece of his home country with him. "Vitale is very strong sounding; I don't know if it's too uncommon for you, seeing as you seem to value privacy," Romeo had perhaps more in mind to create a name that could be good not only for them but for their legacy down the line. "Accetta is also very beautiful, and it really draws out my accent," he chuckled, looking into Eden's calming blue green eyes.
"But then I thought maybe you wanted your heritage too, but I don't know any last names like that," he said rather apologetic, pulling a soft and a little sad smile. He wish he knew more of where Eden had grown up, what it was like and perhaps knew his culture. Even if it had changed a lot since his birth. "Instead I started thinking of English names that sounded different? I suppose," - "Solace sounds pretty unique, and it's a rather on the nose meaning of our relationship I suppose." Maybe it was too unique? Eden seemed to at least want to hear him out. He chuckled a bit as he looked down, "then I thought of Grove?" he wasn't sure what Eden had liked, if any of the selection, but he had at least gotten some names out.

It was fair if Eden didn't like any of them. Frankly it would just mean they found the names they didn't like. The way he urged him to speak one of the names again made him chuckle, but he would gladly oblige. Leaning in closer so their lips were barely touching he finally spoke, "Accetta, il mio Eden, dillo per me," he whispered, not sure if he understood that he wanted him to say it too. It wasn't their name if they couldn't both sound good saying it. He kissed him softly if he did say it or at least mimic the way he had said it. "O forse .. Avella? Forse .. Morello?" He knew speaking Italian always made Eden in such a good mood. He was actively coming up with more names in case it wasn't enough what he had already suggested. Frankly he was just happy that the vampyre liked an Italian name.
"I'll have to teach you proper Italian before we ever have kids," he teased gently, mostly because of course Romeo would want to pass on his language to their offspring. Though those were very far in the future, it was nice to dream of such things. Especially for a guy like Romeo who had been to the dark places where the thought of any future at all had been impossible. This was his way of recovering as well.
