| "You hate skipping workout days," he argued with a soft smile before the human turned around. Feeling him this close, even complimenting him made him feel good. But was this really the true side of the human here in his arms? He couldn't be sure, but he at least loved the fantasy of it. "If you don't get up, I'll start kissing you," he warned him in a soft voice, his hands already having snaked around Benjamin to hold him close. He knew that kissing him would surely wake him up, so perhaps threats of it could as well. Besides that Cesare had been extremely patient with healing and even more so with respecting the human's boundaries. "I mean it .. I'll kiss you all over and not stop until you're moaning my name," he had to grit his teeth a little at that sentence, perhaps because he was always afraid of going too far. But at this point in time it was hard to ignore just what was his needs and what was the needs of the human. |

| “I’ll manage.” He argued in a tired tone, turning to wrap an arm around the vampyre. He had rather quick found out that if he was just sweet enough then he could get away with most things. The warning didnt seem to shake the human, scoffing softly as he nuzzled closer to the vampyre. Couldnt he just give in and let him sleep a bit longer. The addition did just as little to shake the human. “I’m resilient.” He argued, though if the vampyre really thoght he could do that, then he was more than welcome. Joe was slowly giving into falling back asleep once he had adjusted himself to lie comfortably pressed up against the vampyre. |

| Cesare took that as a challenge, and as Benjamin tried to go back to sleep he would start slowly. Gentle pecks around his hairline; moving his kisses down to his cheeks, even giving the lips a teasing taste of what he was about to do, licking them gently. "You can still give up if you want to," he whispered softly, moving his kisses down the warm neck and shoulder, biting lovingly yet not piercing the skin. He would never do that without explicit permission. He could feel himself getting a little impatient. Perhaps because the human tasted and felt so inviting. Moving further down, he kissed along the human's sternum, hooking onto one of his nipples that he sucked gently, licking it to get it standing on edge. The vampyre couldn't help himself from moaning against his skin, wondering when the time would come when the human would push him off. He didn't want him to, but he knew it was coming. "Someone's at least happy to feel me," he muttered in a gentle tease, his hand running down over his clothed length. He knew it could just be the human's reaction to getting touched, so he wouldn't go too far with that. Instead he focused on kissing his stomach, his beautiful abs that seemed to tense with every kiss his now tempered lips gave him. |

| Joe didnt mind the kisses on his face, in fact there wasnt much of a reaction, but as the vampyre began moving down, did the human let out soft sighs of pleasure, though not quite moaning. At least not until the vampyre hooked onto his nipple in which he frowned a little, letting out a soft sound. His hands moved up to the vampyre’s shoulders, holding him. The mutter and touch made the human grit his teeth, his hips bucking lightly to the touch but then he realized what was going on. He pushed the vampyre away as he sat up with a groan. “What are you doing?” He asked confused, still tired but at least more awake and aware now to just let the vampyre do as he pleased. |

| Cesare smiled as he heard the small sighs of pleasure and feeling the hips buck at his touch he just felt like he was doing good. But then he was pushed away and he was sat there confused about himself and what had been going on. Hadn't the human liked it? He got up and out of bed, shaking his head as he muttered an apology before he left. He was shaking a little, forgoing changing his patch as he just pulled on some pants and headed outside. He needed air. He needed to not break down or yell. He just headed to the pond, but he wasn't even sure what he was doing there. Shaking he sat down, fighting back the tears as he didn't think he had ever felt so vile in his own life. Was he really no different than the vampyres who had captured the human to begin with.
Seeing Cesare leave so upset had made Sadie curious, so she went inside. "Benny?" she called out, unsure of what had been going on. And even besides that she couldn't understand why all the sires were not supposed to be in the house. It was strange. |

| He noticed the confusion in the vampyre as well and it just left them both looking puzzled. At least until the vampyre got up and just promptly left with a mutter of an apology. Joe rubbed his face, feeling unsure if he should follow or not. It wasnt even that what the vampyre had done had really been that scandalous but maybe it wasnt something Joe had expected waking up to. He let himself sit and wake up until Sadie called out for him. It was like ice was poured over him, especially as he realized that he was sitting there in his underwear and his cheeks flushed. “Fuck.” He muttered, reaching for his pants but if Sadie had moved around the house and gone to the room, then he had had no chance of dressing. If she was in the door, he’d frown a little, unsure of what to say but he still began dressing. |

| The first place she checked was the quote on quote hobby room, but he wasn't there, and with her vampyric speed she could more around quite quickly. That was when she noticed the door to Cesare's bedroom was open. Frowning she draw nearer, only to see her brother half naked and getting dressed. She felt confused at first, but as she stood there it was like the pieces were finally getting put together. And that was when she felt the hurt. "Really?" she asked, frowning as she looked down, shaking her head, "I was pushed out .. ignored for years upon years .. hunted like an animal." She took a break to breathe, not wanting to hear any excuses. Scoffing if he even tried to explain it away, "so what, you like vampyres now all of a sudden?" It came from a deep place of trauma. She had been cast out from the only family she had ever had, not even her own brother wanting anything to do with her. She had had to fight her way back to finding who she was, and now that same brother had seemingly no problem sharing the bed with her creator. "No, I don't want to hear any excuses," she would cut him off if he tried again, shaking her head no as she backed away. "I'm the monster here," and with that she turned on her heel to leave. She was so hurt and disappointed. All of these years she had longed for her brother, the only relative whom she really wanted something to do with and he had always refused her. But now? Oh, now after being around them so much, he clearly loved anyone but her. It was so easy to see. |

| “Sadie..” he tried but he didnt even know where to begin. She didnt even have to say it because he knew. And it had been what he had been trying to avoid all this time. Hurting her once again like he had done too many times already. “It’s not that.” He said, though hiw could she believe him? It had always been about vampyres. How vile and unnatural they were. He did try to explain but her cutting him off just silenced him completely, looking at her with red eyes that were slowly welling up. She was right. She wasnt the monster. He whimpered before he sobbed quietly, but then the anger quickly took over. He got up and followed her, even though she was much faster than him. “Sadie please come back!” He called, leaving the house to follow her even if he had no idea where she had even gone. “Dammit…” he whispered to himself, rubbing his face and eyes before he continued. He didnt care if he wasnt supposed to leave the area. “Sadie!” He yelled. |

| Sadie knew he was crying now, but he hadn't been there to comfort her when she had been begging for his comfort. No, he had turned his face away, ignored her and even denied that they were related. And now what? He was suddenly okay with sharing the bed with someone who was practically a stranger to him? And a vampyre on top of that? She knew what she did next was going to be wrong, but she followed the scent of Cesare, finding him at the pond. "I don't care who you fool around with," she said shaking her head as the elder seemed to not even look in her direction, "but that guy you've been keeping safe? Yeah, he's my fucking brother; And if you don't stay the hell away from him, I won't let this end nicely." She was angry and hurt, walking closer she grabbed onto his shirt, a few of the sires there as well but Cesare signaled for them to stand down. "Do what you must, Sadie dear," he said, his eyes stained pink as he looked at the shy girl who hadn't changed much since he changed her. Sure, she had gotten more confident, but she was still stuck back in that town. "I went behind your back .. I won't hold this against you," he said quite calmly and a fight broke loose. Well, it was at least a fight on Sadie's behalf as she was the one attacking. Cesare was just trying to avoid, but he did let himself get hit every once in a while. Maybe that would make him feel less terrible about himself? |

| He honestly hadnt known where to go, but eventually he stopped and decided to head back. Not that he even remembered that. It was by pure luck that he found his way back to the pond to see Sadie attack Cesare. He frowned and shook his head, knowing that he probably shouldnt be getting in between and yet he did. Even if she hurt him, on purpose or not, he wouldnt care. He’d still wrap his arms around her, even if she would struggle and fight him, he’d do his best to just hug her. “Dont do this Sadie. You were never the monster, I was, dad and mom too. Our whole hometown was just one big shithole!” He muttered to her, hopefully having his arms around her. “I had to push you away so you wouldnt come back. I knew you would have come back if I gave you a reason to. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” He whispered, clenching his jaw, knowing he had done her wrong for good this time. |

| Maybe Cesare should've fought back, but this wasn't just his sire anymore. This was Benjamin's sister, and he couldn't hurt her without hurting the human. The sires stood back, watching it unfold but would cut in if Sadie was stepping over the line. However she was soon grabbed by her brother, trying to fight still, but she didn't wish to hurt him too. This was about Cesare. This was about the break of trust. His confessions were soothing her and yet not at the same time. But then he said something that just made her arms drop, tears forming in her eyes. He had pushed her away alright and she stopped to look at him with a hurt expression. "You could've come with me .. I would've protected you," she said, and she had offered him that that night. She had pleaded with him to leave behind that town and join her in freedom but he had refused. He had been the first to call her a monster, and his voice was still stuck in her head. Eventually she just stopped moving, being held by her brother felt almost surreal, but it was also a feeling that she had wanted for so long. Carefully she wrapped her arms around him, crying as she buried her face against his shoulder. She was roughly the same height as him anyways. "You're not a monster," she whispered to him, holding him in her arms as he held her. "You're my brother and I love you." It was a very emotional moment for her. Cesare was panting, having to sit down as some of the sires approached him, wanting to tend to him, seeing that he was bleeding again. |

| “They wouldnt have let us both go. You know that too.” He shook his head, crying now too as he remembered it clearly. He had wanted to go. But the fear of what could have ever happened at one bad moment where they didnt pay attention had kept him from it. Staying behind he could make sure that they would let her be alone and shunned. He just held her tight, feeling the tears stream down his face, but he didnt really care right now. Right now he had his focus elsewhere. Feeling her arms wrap around him too, he wasnt even sure if he could squeeze her any tighter but it felt good. Her whisper was soothing but he could never not believe that. Even less now that he had hurt her. “I love you too Sadie.” He muttered, feeling quite overwhelmed to say much else. But somehow he knew this wasnt over. He had to make things right. “I love you.” he reminded himself, kissing her hair before letting go. Then he turned to Cesare. He wasnt sure if the elder vampyre wanted his sires to be around for this. But would either matter? “We’re done. Everything. All of it.” |

| Sadie just let herself be held for once. Her brother let go to then turn to the elder she had been fighting. As she heard what he said and looking to Cesare she felt a pit in her stomach. She wasn't sure why, but she shook the feeling off. The elder got up on his feet, nodding a single time before he looked briefly to Sadie. "Keep him safe," he just said, his face stoic as he now had to rebuild his walls. He was helped back to the house, forced to rest as the wound on his cheek had opened up again. But he couldn't seem to care about it when he had so many other things to worry about. Sadie was confused at her sire's orders, but she couldn't deny that it was what she wanted. She moved her hand down to take Benjamin's, sending him a reassuring smile. "Do you think you got room for your sister in that old apartment of yours?" She asked, wanting this to be more positive. Cesare had backed off so she felt more at ease. "Just for a little while until I get my own place?" |

| Joe didnt feel good about it. He was breaking his own heart too when he said it. But this was about his sister. He couldnt afford to be selfish, not when she had been through so much already. He watched the sires leave with Cesare before he looked to Sadie, her hand feeling so cold but he didnt really mind it this time around. “I do. I do have an extra room, it just needs to be cleaned out with all the stuff I got from back home.” He said, giving her hand a soft squeeze. This had to be the right decision? But why did he feel so empty then? He felt some stray tears roll down his cheeks but just wiped them off and urged for them to go.
At his home, everything was as he had left it. The tea cups had dried up which would be a hassle to clean. And half the food did he have to throw out. He eventually opened the door to the room, revealing boxes and all kind of mess. “Uh. I guess we can start by throwing everything out that isnt in a box.” He said. Once that was done, he grabbed the first box and opened it. It was filled with family pictures of all kinds. |

| Returning to the apartment after all this time she wasn't really sure what to think. But she helped clean up, dusting off and vacuuming until everything was cleaner than they had left it. The room he showed had some potential and after clearing out the worst of the mess they took to sorting the boxes. However what she hadn't expected was the pictures. "Awe .. you looked so cute in this outfit," she chuckled, sitting on the floor, holding a picture of him in a pair of blue jeans and red shirt with a small tie to match. He even had on a small bowler hat which she found so adorable. Looking back she knew they did have some fond memories, though a lot of the pictures only brought forward the bad ones. "Oh, I remember this guy," she chuckled as she looked at a picture of her and him, smiling a little fondly. "I was honestly sure that I was going to grow up and marry him," she admitted, putting the picture down as she went silent for a while. She had endured a lot back then, but the prospects of getting married and getting out of that house used to be her own relief. "I wouldn't even have cared if he beat me .. as long as I hadn't had to endure father's belt one more time," she muttered, closing her eyes for a bit before packing the picture away that made her stomach churn. It was sick to think it had been like that. |

| “Oh no.” He chuckled as she showed him the picture, looking at it. “I really did look good huh. It was almost a shame that I ended up in that fight that ruined it.” He remarked, shaking his head. When he got in fights as a kid it wasnt that severe as now when he was an adult. They mostly just threw each other around and hit with loose wrists. It had mostly been for good fun. She found another picture and he scoffed as he looked at it. “I’m so glad you didnt.” He remarked with a small frown but a smile on his face. “From what I know, did a lady show up at his house with a baby on her arm. And it was his wife that answered the door.” He said, before he looked at the picture again. The mutter made him look at her with a saddened look in his eyes. He reached out and grabbed her hand. “I’m glad you didnt marry him.” He said, before he switched page in the album he was looking in. He chuckled a little as he spotted one picture. “Okay, this one is the best.” he said, taking it out. It was them dressed up in whatever they had found, but what really mattered was the small tent they had made by tying a sheet to a hook in the ceiling. “We read stories in the tent and ate apple slices. I think mom and dad was out all night.” He said, not remembering exactly but it was a fond picture. It had been such a hassle to set up a way for the camera to go off with the both of them in the picture. Their parents had thought they had invited someone over. He got up and moved over to the fridge, placing the picture on it with a magnet in the corner to keep it up. “There.” |

| It felt reassuring that her brother of all people were happy she hadn't chosen that life, and frankly the fact that a woman had showed up with a baby - and that woman wasn't his wife - made her know she had dodged a big bullet. He continued on to the next page and she couldn't hold back a laughter at the fond memory. "You got your hand stuck in the jar of peanut butter if I recall correctly," she giggled, sighing as she looked at the picture. It was a really fond memory to her, even if many of her human memories were more fuzzy than the ones she obtained as a vampyre. He got up placing the picture on the fridge and it made her smile a little proudly before she looked at him with a serious gaze. "Are you sure you're alright with me being a .. you know?" She still struggled, it was apparent, and some days were easier than others. "I mean, I'm not like I was when we were kids," biting her lower lip as she looked down, her hands fiddling. Maybe it was just a family trait to be fidgety. Either way she just sat there for a while. |

| The reminder made him frown as if she had accused him of doing it on purpose. “I dropped my apple. I told you that!” He argued but frankly had there been no complaints from the young Benjamin who had then had to lick his hand clean. Their mother had been angry the next day but it had turned out alright in the end. Funny how the bare minimum of not being hurt was seen as something fond. Her question made him shrug a little as he had to be honest. “I feel like I wouldnt wanted to have you be like when we were kids still. I’ve changed too.” He just said, though her changes were more obvious, that didnt mean that they were both so different from when they had been kids. “Also I should be the one apologizing after… what I did… with uhm… Cesare.” He added, though he was brushing a little quickly over the last bit. “I really liked when you started coming around for tea. So dont worry about me, alright?” |

| It was true that they had both changed. A lot in fact. But she had been the one to change from a human to a vampyre, so she felt it was sorta appropriate for her to ask about it. The apology made her frown, shaking her head like she wasn't interested in hearing about it. It wasn't how she wanted to think of her brother. Maybe that was selfish, but hearing about what they might or might not have had wasn't on her wish list. "I'll never stop worrying about my little brother," she teased, getting up to ruffle his hair a little. She wasn't much more than a few years older than him, but she still kept it over his head. "Besides, I really liked coming around for tea too .. and now we get to do it every day until you finally cave in and admit that you hate tea," she chuckled, smiling at him. They finished up clearing the room out, repacking the things that Benjamin wanted to keep and the rest was either thrown out or put aside for storage. Now with a whole room to call her own she looked around, trying to get ideas to how to make this optimal. "I don't really need sleep so I was thinking of getting a couch or something; perhaps one of those smart ones that can turn into a bed," she pondered out loud just wanting to hear what he had to say. Breathing out in a sigh she shook her head a little, "I also need to find a job - I can't have you paying all the bills," she said, and she was pretty decided on that. |

| He rolled his eyes as she called him her little brother. She looked younger than him now. It was odd how that worked. The mention of tea made him scoff. “You’ll never hear those words come from my mouth. I love tea.” He argued even if there hadnt been a worse taste in the world than that dirty warm lead water. It was just as bad as coffee to him. And yet he would drink it just for her. Even if she knew he hated it. Once the room was cleared out, it seemed much bigger than he had expected. “Yeah, that would be a good idea.” He hummed, looking around, until she mentioned getting a job. “Oh, dont sweat it. If I ever dont make it, then all the money is stuffed in the mattress.” He flat out said before he began laughing a little at the notion. It was something their grandma had done as well. Stuffing money in odd places in case she didnt make it. He remembered cleaning out her place and finding a bag of money in the back of the toilet. “I should work tonight. If I plan on getting money this month.” He said, grabbing his phone to look for his boss’ number. “Should we go couch slash bed hunting before that? See what else we can find?” |

| She began chuckling that turned into a laughter as he sounded exactly like their grandmother had, shaking her head as she gave him a small push. "Alright drama queen, I'll make sure to remember that," she chuckled, shaking her head at him as he was a doofus, but he had always been. It just felt nice to see that side of him again. Hopefully he could see how alive she was as well. He spoke about work and she hummed, "I think I can wait with the shopping until we know we have money for rent .. and I'll go find a job tonight when the sun is down." She wouldn't be catered to. No, she could do things herself and if someone were to look at them from the outside there was no doubt that they were related. "I think there's a few places that might be looking for like a server at a late night diner or something - that would be ideal if you're working night as well," she hummed before pulling up into a smile. She gave him a hug, just because she could, before letting go of him. "I'll go look up some places, and you should get something to eat - you look skinnier than a string bean!" |

| He chuckled at her push, though it felt good. It couldnt quite soothe the ache he was pushing away, but that was pushed away for now. He hummed softly as she didnt want to go find furniture. It made sense to get a job first and foremost. “There’s a diner not far from here. It’s kinda busy too so you’ll have lots of hours I think.” He said with a shrug. He didnt mind being hugged, wrapping an arm around her. It was a good plan that she laid out. But he acted a little offended as she called him skinny. “I’ve worked really hard for all these muscles. It’s called being lean, not skinny!” He argued, showing off his abs. But she was right, he hadnt had his breakfast and he hadnt gotten to do his workout. “I’ll eat.” He assured her, though he would have to go shop.
His shifts were quite consistent. He stuck to calm bars for easy hours. His boss had no problem with that but he knew that soon any day could there be a spot at some big club that would need him because no one else wanted it. However, tonight was different. He had decided to invite Joanna out for a drink. And a walk. The walk first foremost. Then the drinks. |

| Joanna had been quite surprised to hear from Joe. Maybe because last time they saw each other he had snuck out in the middle of the night. Either way, she had agreed for a small meet up. It couldn't be worse than last time. "So, what have you been up to?" She asked with a bright smile as they walked side by side. She liked how casual Joe was, seeing as he dressed like he wanted to, but still had that edge to him. Or maybe it was just because she knew he was a bouncer. He would perhaps always be a bit badass in her eyes. "I mean, I haven't heard from you in a while, so I was starting to fear you had fallen off the edge of the world," she giggled, clutching her hands around the string on her bag. "I know I wasn't on my best behavior last time, so this time around I'm not drinking as much," she promised him with a shy smile. She was a sweet girl. And as she spoke about what she had been up to - which was mostly work - it was clear she didn't have anything supernatural in her life. She was just a human, and a human that loved being human on top of that. |

| He merely just needed a distraction. To not be left alone with the sinking feeling in his stomach. He was stubborn enough to try and fight it. So now he was being selfish, just to get anything that could push the vampyre out of his mind. “Uhh. It’s a complicated story.” He chuckled, shrugging lightly as he wasnt sure he could sum it up in one walk. “But dont worry about it. It’s just sometimes a part of the job I guess.” He remarked, to let her know that it had been serious but wasnt an issue anymore. That stung to admit. “Appreciate it. But honestly, you just caught me by surprise, was all.” He said, sending her a small smile. “If I havent scared you off with my scary work incident, then you’re more than free to ask.” He said and if she didnt know what he meant by that, then he’d chuckle softly. “A kiss” though he said it lightheartedly enough for her to treat it like a joke if she didnt like it. |

| Joanna hummed, though his tease made her frown a little before he himted at a kiss. Her cheeks turning bright pink, "Joe," she muttered at him, hitting him a little playfully against his arm. She did however smile, moving a little closer to hold onto the arm she had just hit. It was painfully clear how much she genuinely liked him. He seemed like a sweet and fun guy, even if he could come off as stern. "Is that why you asked me for a walk first? You wanted to skip the drinks and go straight to kissing, is that it?" She giggled, because now it wss her turn to tease him back. They joked back and forth for a little while, eventually ending up on a bar where they got a few drinks. Just letting loose a little, though being mindful of how much control she had. After a few drinks they were out smoking and she snuggled a little closer to him to keep warm. "I think I would like that kiss now," she giggled, her cheeks red from the alcohol, all cute and cuddled up to him right here. |
