Maybe he had hoped that the feeling was fake, that it was just his imagination poking at him. It wasnt that he felt betrayed, it was just the fact that he didnt like to be surprised. Her silence was enough for him to know it was real and he was just as quiet as she was. He didnt realize that his eyes watered till a tear rolled down. “You just had to go and fuck him the moment I left huh?” He asked, the words felt like acid but he was so angry. “It’s good to know who you really love of us..” he continued but he seemed to stop mid sentence as he sniffled. He wasnt going to cry on the phone with her so he just hung up.

Connor could tell something was wrong as Amos had called her but he just decided to hold her close and comfort her. The daemon couldnt possibly be angry that she had chosen to be with him first right? He refused to believe that the daemon thought he could just treat her like he had and expected something in return. But he couldnt figure out how the daemon’s mind worked.
