The guy's response didnt seem completely unreasonable in Xalvador's mind but maybe it was because he was most probably on the same wavelength with the guy. If Eliza had tried to talk about their feelings like that back when they were actually still talking, Xalvador probably would have reacted alike Frankie's guy. He thought of something to say but nothing really came to mind. Though it could probably have helped if he had asked whether the guy had initiated the conversation or not. Only Xalvador was dumb in that way and didnt think of that at all. "Sounds like a tough spot," he replied as she removed her hand. He didnt really mind that, letting his own hand fall back down his side. Her question made him breathe out as he went to the kitchen to get himself a drink, not leaving her sight however. He grabbed his cup and asked whether she wanted something before grabbing a bloodbag. "Just work. But it's not a busy day, so it's not like I'll be missed," he explained, throwing out the empty bag before turning with his cup, leaning back on the desk with his arms crossed in a relaxed manner. "You could probably get some tips off my brother, even if you dont really like him. Before his girlfriend, he was pulling women from each and every side. He probably has a trick up his sleeve to help you forget about your.. that guy," he then said, looking down into the mug with blood.

"I'm not getting tips from you brother, he seems like he ain't right in the head," she said, mostly because pulling girls left and right didn't sound like someone she wanted to have help from. "Besides, I'm better at just working things out on my own," she concluded, even if it sounded a little closed off. She just wasn't one to share much, even if she was beginning to trust Xalvador. "Do you like the taste of blood or is it just some weird habit?" She asked a little curiously, mostly because she wanted to shift the conversation on to something else.

"Okay okay, I may have worded that wrong," he chuckled, but wasnt going to push for her to talk to anyone she didnt want to. She was after all an adult who could make her own choices. Her conclusion made him scoff, but it wasnt like he didnt believe her. It was just crazy how alike they were in some things. The question about the blood made him shrug as he looked down at his feet for a second. "I was left at an orphanage shortly after I was born. There arent really any details about my parents, other than my mother's death shortly after my birth," he said with a small frown. He folded his lips and sighed. "I dont know what I am or how I got to be able to drink blood. But if I dont drink from the bags, I still feeling urges to drink from people. If I dont drink any blood at all and eat regular food, then I'll loose mass and become malnourished over time," he just said in a ponder, taking a sip off his mug. "And before you say vampyre, get this: The sun doesnt do shit to me. I dont have super speed or incredible strength. So there's no way,"

As he spoke about why and how she was actually surprised. She knew some vampyres who just endured the sun to be a part of society, but if he said it had no effect on him. "Maybe you're a hybrid?" She said, but it was mostly cause she knew Mickey wasn't quite one or the other. Perhaps that applied to Xalvador too. "But I don't know, it sounds crazy ... Do you then prefer warm blood or cold? Or is it just the same?" She said clearly a little interested. Blood drinkers rarely spoke about this stuff, so he had peaked her interest. "Sorry, I didn't mean to just start asking shit ... uhm, I'm a fenix and there's not really a lot of us around here in Churchill besides if I go up to the temple, but yeah," she said, just putting out there that she partly knew how it was not to really fit in everywhere.

| He shrugged at her ponder. Hell if he knew. Maybe he was some part of vampyre but there was really not a definite way of knowing was there? He wouldnt want someone to run some bloodtest on him, because it wasnt really that important to him. "I see. I dont actually know a lot about the different races, except the good ol' seraphim and daemons are complete opposite, and then the bloodsuckers of course," he said with a small smile. If he had had to learn something, that would have meant him actually paying attention in class and he had been far too busy back then with being all over the place all the time. "Anyway, dont worry about food," he said as he opened the fridge to show her. "We've got enough and you wont have to be living off blood,"
Soon the day for the party came and Xalvador had told Eliza that he would come but he just had to sort out some things before then. He hadnt asked for the address yet so he didnt mind taking Frankie with him and dropping her off at where ever she needed to be before heading to work. |

It may have been a good idea to figure out whether things were good between them before the party. Their messages had been almost stale and somewhat emotionless. Deacon really hated that, more than he'd like to admit. He had invited some of his closest friends, that including Phineas' girl or whatever it was that she was to him. It was only because Frankie's words about the clergy being money otherwise rang in the mythical's head. He had also shot Kaden a message telling him that he could also bring a friend along as well since there wouldnt be a lot of people beside Deacon that the lycan knew. He a few blocks away from the bar, smoking a cigarette as he was looking at his phone. Mickey would only be showing up if she knew that Frankie would be there, as she put it herself that a party without Frankie wasnt a party at all. It wasnt Deacon's style to be right on time, so he had no plans of doing that now, even though he had considered it to see if he had been able to catch Frankie before it all began.

Frankie had contemplated not even going. Maybe because it would be easier not seeing Deacon. They had been texting but it was nothing spectacular and both of them seemed to avoid their uncertain relationship like the plague. She was however thankful for staying at Xalvador, even though Gerard was annoying to be around and his girlfriend was really rather naïve. But they did make a cute couple - albeit very unappealing to be around. She had texted Mickey the day of, stating that she was showing up, but only to get wasted and have a good time before she would probably head home early. It wasn't that she couldn't throw down a party, it was just the fact that Deacon's ex was going to be there and it just made her feel bitter. Because she wasn't even his ex she wasn't anything to him. She arrived a little late, but thanked Xalvador for dropping her off, adjusting her dress. It wasn't just nice knowing she might see him later as well. She was wearing a black, short and very sparkly dress that showed off her body rather nicely. If she couldn't feel good, then she could at least look good. Her makeup was simple, but it went with her outfit. It was already a little dark out as she approached the bar. When she had first gotten the address she thought it was wrong, because this was a fancy one. Like the one that had VIP and shit. Stating her name at the entrance she was lead through the club and upstairs to a private party. Looking around she didn't really know anyone, but she did see the one that this was all about. Eliza. She decided to go and introduce herself, the human not knowing who she was was a given, but she just introduced herself as one of Deacon's friends, even though she hated the fake smile she had put on.

Eliza had spent a lot of time preparing all of this, and while she did it under the pretense that it was for Thomaz, it was honestly an excuse to see Deacon as well as Xalvador again. The latter stating that he might show up later but had work. It made her a little sad. Even Gerard and Tessa had declined because they had other obligations with some art thing. Okay, so maybe all of her friends wouldn't be there, but she would still get to meet new people and that was the important part. She was wearing a rather fashion forward outfit that was flattering to her body type, showing off her shoulders.

Thomaz didn't understand his sister's obsession with all of this partying, but alas he was there to support her regardless. He had even agreed to match her red skirt with his red kimono shirt. His outfit besides that was rather simple, black jeans, black tank top and some black shoes. The only thing that never changed was his many necklaces. He seemed to always wear two in particular, but the others got switched out depending on the mood. He was sitting in the VIP, taking to some blonde tall lycan whom he had just been introduced to. The lycan was talking about some music he was working on, and Thomaz was just being polite and listening, even though his eyes kept scanning the room for when Deacon entered.

Serena wasnt really sure what it was that she had said yes to join, but she didnt have worry about being recognized or anything for her brand. She was after all not very known as a person. But arriving at the VIP section and actually seeing who was around, she wasnt sure she was in the right circle right now. They all looked so young, far young for the human designer. She may have looked a little young herself, but she was actually quite old. Sipping on a glass of bubbles, she let Kaden go off on talking about his music, keeping talk to minimum. Not that she was awkward, she was just quite reserved. She had actually brought a rather fine wine to give to Eliza when she had arrived, saying that it was from both her and the tall lycan.

Nothing interesting was really to be found on his phone so he ended up watching the time. If he went there now, people would slowly be settling in. Breathing out in a deep sigh he threw his cigarette on the ground before stomping it, heading towards the party. He was dressed a little casually but also formal. A cream white button up shirt that wasnt exactly consistent in colour, but it fit him quite well. The collar undone a little and the sleeves rolled up because he couldnt bear anything else than the elastic bands in his hoodie around his wrists. He bore some casual jeans that were also fitting for a party mood. Heading inside after giving his name, he just went to the VIP section where he grabbed the first bottle of strong liqueur and took a swig from the bottle. He liked entering as if he had been there for longer than he had and just meddled in with the crowd till someone would notice him.

Frankie finally ended up sitting down where a couple of guys were talking. It was a tall blonde guy in a pink outfit - one that she thought was actually very cool - and the other was a tall brunette. She just sipped on her glass of whatever, not really caring as she snuck herself in to the conversation with the two guys. She was awfully aware of everything around her, constantly checking where Eliza was in the room. She looked so pretty, almost effortlessly so, and it wasn't hard to imagine why Deacon had been or maybe still was in love with her. Frankie looked a certain way, she decided whatever she wanted to do. She looked over to a person sitting not far from the lycan. Her hair was gorgeously styled, even if her outfit was more subdued, it was clear she knew how to put it together. She moved over, sitting down next to her and introducing herself. "Hi, I'm Frankie," she said, trying to be polite. She wasn't going to cause a scene and who knew, maybe she would end up liking it? She did however notice that the brunette kept looking at her from time to time. Or was it the stylish one beside her? She couldn't really tell with all the lights flashing from downstairs.

Everything seemed to be going as planned. Eliza saw how her brother was mingling, and it did make her very happy, but she still kept looking at the time and then at the door. She did however pass her time talking to guests and sipping on drinks. She had even gotten to talk to this cute couple, both blonde and though the guy seemed rather young and nervous, he had kept his arm around the young woman quite adamantly. They had introduced themselves as Phineas and Emily, but they had snuck off to a more quiet place of the area, talking and laughing together. It was rather cute. Smiling she went on in to her party, looking around still. She wanted to see Deacon, but she was mostly anxious about seeing Xalvador again. The last she had heard of him was from Gerard, and only the gods knew why that seraph was the way he was.

The party was alright, but one person had caught his interest. A bald headed fenix dressed rather nicely and showing off her tattooed body. Thomaz never really had a preference, perhaps because he liked different things in different people, but he had taken a liking to that fenix. He kept stealing small looks at her, but still trying to engage in a somewhat cohesive conversation with the lycan. However something else caught his eyes, getting up from his seat as he excused himself. "Deacon! Long time no see, minha amiga," he said, folding his arms out for a hug. He wasn't taking no for an answer, wrapping his arms around the mythical. He had grown a lot taller since Deacon had seen him last. "I see you have helped yourself to some bebidas," he said, gesturing to the liquor bottle in his hand, "agora me diga, how have you been?"

Serena was in her own thoughts for the most part, but she did look around on the people who were present. It was definitely a wide assortment of different people. She heard an introduction and turned her head with a rather polite smile; She had done this for so long that it actually seemed genuine. "Frankie? That's a pretty name," she said in a soft voice, taking another sip of her glass. She tilted her head a little as she looked at the outfit and then her face. "Simple and classy, but also feminine despite the short cut making you stand out perfectly," she just said in an analyzing tone, but then she smiled softly. "Have you made the dress yourself?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

He had already scanned the room before he was approached by the human. He was a little surprised by the warm welcome, barely getting to react to the hug before it was happening. "Yeah, might as well get the party going, hm?" he said with a crooked smile. He didnt really bother to seem happy because he really wasnt. "Are you still jetlagged? And do you like it here so far?" he asked, though his eyes moved out on the people around them, seeing if he could spot Frankie somewhere. He had seen Emily and Phineas who seemed like they were really having a fun evening together. He could feel his jaw tense because he felt a little jealous that he wasnt feeling that way too.

Frankie didn't really know how she felt about being analyzed like that, perhaps looking a little weirdly at the otherwise polite woman. "No, I got this at a thrift store and cut it to my size," she said, knowing it sounded less cool than it actually being something designer, but she also knew that she wasn't some fancy person. Some people would call her cheap, others would say she was resourceful. Either way it didn't matter, she dressed for herself anyways. "I really love your top - The shoulders look really cool," she said, but that was about it as she looked in to her glass. "Woops, better get a refill," she said, feeling like the woman was nice, but yikes she clearly didn't want to be here. She headed up for the bar, where she spotted Deacon talking with the brunette guy. Did Deacon just know everyone? Standing at the bar she ordered a gin tonic, just as some sort of palate cleanser.

Thomaz chuckled. "It's alright ... A lot of beautiful women though, why didn't you say?" he said, his lips curling up in his signature flirty smile. He had always been rather handsome, boyish and it wasn't strange to think that his sister was a model when he could pass as one too. "But I've missed you, cara, now that I'll stay for a while in Churchill we could catch up," he said. The years had made him understand everything that happened between Thomaz and Eliza more, especially the years he had been at boarding school. "Have you seen my sister yet? She's dying to see you, y'know - ela está ficando um pouco louca," he said, moving his finger up to his temple, signaling how crazy he thought his sister was getting. He then noticed the fenix had gotten up to the bar, excusing himself with the line, "wish me luck."

"Hmmm.." Serena said in a pondering tone, looking at the dress before she narrowed her eyes a little. This girl had style, but Serena really wasnt in the mood for a lot of small talk. She chuckled at the compliment and then nodded as the girl rather wanted to go get her refill. Sighing she just remained in her thoughts watching the girl walk off. "I wonder what else she could do to an outfit," she pondered to herself, but just breathed out and smiled to herself. She was too work oriented. Getting up she went to talk to Kaden, but then decided to go mingle a little with the others present.

"Dont be like that, there are pretty girls everywhere," he just said, keeping a neutral expression on his face. They had been quite young when they stopped being friends so he actually wasnt so sure what had happened to Thomaz in the meantime. Eliza had mentioned his habits, but never gotten quite far into it, as it would just be weird as his sister. "Yeah sure, I'm up for that," he said, a small smile spreading on his lips. The mention of Eliza made him fold his lips as he chose to take a sip rather than answer. "Dont say that about her," he just said as he eyed the human. A little protective maybe. He just mumbled a faint yeah to Thomaz's leave, before he eyed the direction he was heading, seeing Frankie up in the bar. He frowned a little before he felt his jaw tense. What a bastard. If he interfered now he would just be an ass. So instead of doing that, he just took yet another swig of his bottle, his eyes lingering on Frankie for a bit longer before he just walked off.

Frankie was liking it so far, but she was missing Mickey a lot. If she had been here she wouldn't have felt so alone. She had seen Phineas and Emily, but she hadn't seen where they had gone. At the bar it just felt nice, leaning against the disk as she waited for her drink. That was when she felt a presence behind her, turning around to see the brunette towering over her. He had a friendly face, and when he smiled he didn't look creepy. "Can I help you?" she asked, but it was clear that he seemed somewhat interested in her. The two fell in to a conversation at the bar, even making her chuckle a couple of times before he invited her out to dance. Alright, what was the worst that could happen? It was a simple dance, maybe to a couple of songs and she would have fun. She agreed, and he took her hand, leaning down to kiss it, muttering something in a language she didn't understand, but it did make her feel appreciated. Something she hadn't felt for a good while now.

Eliza watched as her brother went off with the bald girl to dance, smiling before her eyes found Deacon. She came over to him, a warm smile on her face. "I was starting to worry you wouldn't show up," she said, giggling lightly as she had already had a few drinks, and being the size that she was meant it didn't take a lot. "Why do you look so sad? Aren't you having fun?" she asked him, wanting all her guests to be comfortable. But mostly she just couldn't help but look at Deacon and seeing everything about him that had changed from when she knew him. He looked so sad behind the eyes; Was it something she had done? "I really like your shirt, it suits you," she said, trying as to not make him upset further.

He just felt so bitter and he just wanted to get drunk as fast as possible. Walking off and out of sight to watch what was happening at the bar, he bit the inside of his cheek to contain himself. As Eliza approached him, there really was no hiding how he felt. "You know I like to be late," he said, trying to make his boyish smile but it didnt really feel the same. And of course she was seeing right through it. But there was no way he could talk about that, because that meant he was admitting to his feelings and that simply wasnt happening tonight. It was already enough that the notion of Thomaz trying to get with Frankie was making him sick to his stomach. The compliment made him send her a faint smile but he really couldnt push it further than faint. "It's just been a bad week," he lied but also sent her a face that made it clear it wasnt really something that he wanted to talk about. "It's a nice party. You always know how to set these things up," he said, wanting to focus on something else than his mood.

She chuckled, nodding, because she did know. She knew a lot about him, but that was just what happened when you used to spend a lot of time together. She could read him like an open book, and that sadness was tearing her apart. Wanting to make him feel a bit better, she just reached down, giving his hand a little squeeze before letting go. "Well you don't have to go through it alone if you need someone to talk to," she reminded him. While she might not be able to give him answers, maybe listening was all he really needed. He tried to distract from himself, complimenting her party and she shrugged, looking down at her hands. She always felt like the little shy girl when she was around Deacon. Perhaps it was because she had been so young when they had been together. She really wanted to talk it all through, but he hadn't seemed interested. Back then Eliza had hoped they could just ignore the words from above saying they couldn't marry. Today she was maybe a little relieved they hadn't married, because it was only in the recent years that she felt like she had found herself. "Anyone can throw a party when they have enough money to pay for things," she just muttered. Looking up and out on the dance floor she saw Thomaz pulling the bald haired girl closer. He looked happy and the girl at least seemed to be having fun. "I hope he gets some real friends here ... He got involved with some bad shot back home because of some boarding school buddy," she said breathing out in a sigh before shaking her head. Turning to look at him, she tilted her head a little to the side. "Do you want to dance maybe?" She asked.

“Yes but it doesnt make the party good. That takes planning. And I know you’ve put a lot of work into it,” he argued because he could tell she was trying to shrug it off. It would have been belivable if he didnt know that she had spent a lot of time on setting it all up. He followed her eyes out on tge dancefloor, watching Thomaz and Frankie like Eliza. There it was again that terrible feeling inside of him and tge anger. He bit the inside of his cheek bloody and barely heard Eliza’s words. “Well it’s good that he’s here then,” he said but gods he didnt believe that one but right now. If he hadnt seemed broody already it would probably have been obvious what was ticking him off. Eliza’s request made him sigh but he nodded and took her head. This was a bad idea but again, him saying no to Eliza was such a rare phenomenon that he barely thought of. Deacon was a decent dancer and as they got out on the floor, he decided to put his focus on Eliza rather than keep track of what Frankie and Thomaz was doing. It was fine wasnt it? This was what he had told himself that Frankie deserved better? Well why did it feel so shitty then? He pulled Eliza a little closer by reflex, frowning a little as he realized. “Sorry I-“ he mumbled, shaking his head before he moved away and off the dancefloor to the streets where he lit a cigarette.
