Going through changes

Her gaze turned towards Belial, but it was as if she didn't see him. She saw her counterpart, the darkness, and he was saying he was denying her entry? "Do not take me for a fool," she hissed in the ancient language as her light moved on it's own accord, stretching far and as Baal made one wrong move, his hand got caught in the light, cutting it right off his arm.
This seemed to awaken her inner self, hurrying over to him. "Belial, Belial, I'm sorry, I- I-," but she couldn't control herself as the cultists were pushed away by the light that was now running rampant around them.

Buffy had never lost control like this, never once had she let anything consume her, but here she was. He demanded that she controlled herself, but she was freaking out a bit, looking at his hand on the ground as it morphed in to some black shapeless mass. She leaned back as light emitted from her, her body starting to get hurt too as well before she seemingly collapsed away from the portal.

Being knocked out wasn't too bad. Well it was, but she could at least drift away for a while. Nothing really seemed to make sense anymore. Why was the artefact within her acting up now of all times? She had been so good at handling herself, so she couldn't really wrap her head around the whats and the whys. Her body felt like it was floating and yet drowning at the same time. The struggles she had faces passing before her eyes, making her rest uneasy. Something was wrong. But her body wouldn't wake for anything.

He sent them all out, all the healers. Once they left he looked at Buffy who was laying on the bed. He couldnt leave her to herself like that, not when her artifact was acting up like it was. He bit the inside of his remaining hand, knowing it wouldnt bear as much power as his marked hand used to. But it had to do. He drew a bloody mark on the door before he mumbled a few ancient words out of order but seemingly the blood reacted and he knew the door would be sealed. The room wasnt the safest, but at least he had solace in knowing she needed the door to escape if she wanted to. He went to the bed, sitting down at her side before placing a hand on her chest. He drew in a deep breath. "Let's see what else you've got in you," he whispered to himself before he started chanting a few words that would provoke the artifact. He needed her to wake up, even if it wasnt her he would be meeting.

A strange feeling was spreading in her, one that she wasn't too familiar with. Sure, she had felt it when her soul had merged with the artefact, but after not feeling it for so long she thought it had been a fleeting feeling. Not something substantial. She felt like she was being pulled up from the drowning sensation, opening her eyes, but they were still glowing. Like molten lava under a dark moving crust.
Sitting up, she looked around before her eyes went to the daemon in the same room as her, narrowing her eyes. "Who are you?" she demanded to know, her voice sounding estranged as she moved away from his touch. "What are you doing in my chambers?" she asked before looking around, but not recognizing where she was. She seemed to be more panicking now as she pulled further away from the daemon across from her.

She woke and he watched her as she narrowed her eyes at him. He wasnt sure what he had expected but it didnt seem to surprise him that she couldnt recognize him. Sighing at her question he nodded a few times and pulled his hand to himself, resting it on his lap while he kept quiet for a bit. His arm was still stinging like nothing else where it had been burned, and he did feel a little out of balance, so sitting down was definitely helping. "Depends on who and what you are," he just said calmly, turning his eyes to look at her as she was pulling away. "If you're Buffy then I'm your soulmate. If you're not, then I'm just a another stranger to you,"

She looked at him with a confused gaze as he said it depended on who she was. Who kidnaps someone they don't know who is? She pulled at the blanket that had been covering her, covering herself a bit more if she could without hiding away. Buffy? She felt a ringing in her ear at that name, covering her ears as she began to shake a little.

Her lack of response only confirmed that she couldnt be Buffy, but then she seemed to cover her ears and shake. He observed her for a moment while he thought about what to do. Then something came to mind but he wasnt quite sure how it was going to be received. He grabbed a hold of the blanket she was trying to hide behind, pulling it off of her as he just looked at her for a moment. Hopefully she could understand why he acted the way he did. He threw the blanket away before he reached out for her again, even if she was shying away, he seemed adamant to reach her.

She was still shaking, even as he pulled the blanket off of her. Her body would be almost burning to the touch as he reached for her, but she still tried to avoid his touch. Until she hit the wall behind her, looking at him rather confused and scared. The green appearing as she seemed to look like herself once more, or at least for a few glimmers of hope it did seem so. "Why did you free me?" she asked, shaking her head as she was clearly sounding rather delusional. "I didn't ask for this ... You shouldn't have broken me away from him, he was stable, he was good," her shakes continuing as she rambled.

He was really out here forcing some poor girl in Buffy up in a corner like some creep, or at least it seemed that way. But it was necessary, because he needed to get her to talk. Find out where she had come from and why she was in Buffy. Her question made him frown as he didnt quite get it. Though she spoke of being broken away from someone and he thought he understood. "It was necessary to save the one that I love. I'm sure you could understand the sentiment for the action," he said, looking at her before he grabbed her face and forced her to look at him. "Which is why I need her back now and you gone," he said a little devoid of emotion. He really couldnt bear much compassion for a stranger.

The one he loved? What about who she loved? What about her life? He grabbed her face and she shook her head no, "let go of me!" Trying to push him away did very little. She managed to get away, how she wasn't really sure, but soon enough she was standing on the floor heading for the door. However as she grabbed it she was pushed away by some unseen force. Shaking her head again, "no, no, no - please, what is it you want? I just need to go," she said, panicking as she was trying to figure out what to do. She couldn't bring his lost love back, that wasn't really something she could do.

He was weakened more than he would like to admit so it was only limited how long he could restrain her if she was fighting against him. So as she broke free and moved away, he just stood there for a bit, feeling the anger in him rise again, but this time differently, like it was fully out of his control. He stood by the wall, feeling his marks flare up as his eyes washed over with a deep black, that seemed to flood so fast that black tears ran down his cheeks too. He turned his head to look at her. "You wont leave this place," he assured her, feeling his chest hiccup as if something wanted out. But he knew that was dangerous for Buffy's body, it would try and kill her for being an opposite. Only that he had no power over himself in that regard and the artifact seemed to tell him that it would be fine.

"Why not? What's going on?" she asked, clearly confused as ever. She seemed naïve, or at best rather innocent. She could feel something within him, something that didn't make a lot of sense, but part of her knew it soon would. Keeping her distance was her safest bet for survival, but she had limited space to work with. "Who are you?"

"I'm doing something I'll regret," he just said like it was trivial, lifting his healthy hand to place on his stomach. He felt sick but that was a bad thing. "I'm-mmgnh!" he spoke but his chest just seemed to convulse. He clenched his hand at his chest again, feeling the black liquid trying to force it's way out. "I'm sorry," was all he could mumble before his chest made a rather violent convulsion, forcing him down on his knees as the black liquid ran from his nose and dripped onto the ground. Clenching his hand he felt weaker and weaker, this was different than the other times. It was trying to leave but it was as if it was stuck inside of him.

The daemon spoke but she wasn't sure he was even speaking to her. What was going on? And then he seemed to collapse on the floor, his chest moving strangely as black liquid spilled everywhere. "Please, please ... I don't know what's going on," she pleaded with him, her eyes flickering with light, but her body moved by it's own accord. Kneeling down to him, she held his shoulders, looking at him with the same confused expression. "Is he in you?" she asked, her eyes scared. "Please, I need to know," she said, touching the daemon carefully even though she didn't want to, "I'm Boadicea."

"I'm dying," he just disclosed as his chest kept fighting to expel what was inside of him but it wouldnt leave. It was only what he said that felt like was happening. He didnt have his arm, he was powerless and weakened beyond. Her question made him frown as he didnt understand. Who? Who was he? She pleaded and he was coughing and grunting in pain. Then she spoke her name and he blinked a few times, not understanding. But the artifact started glowing like never before, like it was boiling over inside of him, drawing out a pained scream as he was powerless to stop it. "Make.. it stop." he mumbled in a pained tone.

She reached down, touching his chest gently before a light emitted from her palm. "I'm here ... Come to me, please," she said, trying to ignore the pain that the daemon was in. She wanted to see if it was really him, she wanted to know and no-one was going to stand in her way of being able to see that.

He was here in pain and there she was touching the artifact, seemingly only making it react stronger, sending a new wave of pain through the summoner that he was powerless to fight. The light started spreading like it was pouring into his veins, making him twist and turn until his motions grew lazy and he just laid there. He closed his eyes and seemingly passed out while the light slowly faded. "It's speaking to you," he whispered hoarsely, feeling beat from the pain. He swallowed to try and gain some of his voice back. "He says that he is stuck. That he cant leave from where he's stood, as he has the day you were torn from him," he explained.  

"But I don't understand ... I'm still here, why doesn't he come to me?" she asked, looking at the daemon as he was just laying on the floor. His voice was hoarse, but she didn't know what to think about him. He had seemed so threatening at first, but now he seemed so subdued. He had said he was dying, but she couldn't feel him dying anytime yet. "He's my love, he promised to come to me even if we were worlds apart."

He didnt answer her question as he moved his eyes away and looked up into the ceiling. He definitely wasnt in a mood to get sapped by the artifact inside of him for seemingly disrespecting it's long lost lover, but here they were. He was just hoping that he hadnt lost Buffy in the process of it all. "Well, you should have considered the possibility of that before you became an object of the Abyssus," the summoner mumbled, gritting his teeth as he felt a short pain in his chest. The artifact really wasnt messing around, was it? "What's the name of your lover?"

Before she became? Her eyes watered as she looked at him. He did look familiar, but perhaps that was Buffy inside of her that made her feel that way. "Belial, ruler of the Abyssus," she said. Did he not know who she was? Boadicea, Belial's queen of the damned? She found it so hard to believe.

He wasnt sure he heard her right when she spoke. There was a ruler of the Abyssus? He frowned at the thought, but the artifact inside of him confirmed her words. Only what was he truly to believe? "Nonsense, there would have been scrolls about the both of you. I've never heard of a ruler of the Abyssus or his queen," he remarked, gritting his teeth again as he could feel the artifact punish him for not speaking more kindly to Boadicea. "If the Abyssus has a ruler, why is it in complete chaos?" he spoke through his gritted teeth, looking at the light with an expression of dismay.

Chaos? She shook her head. Why would the Abyssus be in chaos? Her eyes looking around the room briefly as she tried to think of what to say. No scrolls about them either? What had happened? "The Abyssus was not in chaos the last time I was there?" she said, not realizing how long ago that was. Back before Bael took control of the dominion and made it his own personal afterlife for his daemons. She looked at the daemon on the floor. "The Abyssus is my home, my king's home as well - what have you done with it?" she demanded to know.
