The Aftermath of Love and Betrayal

"Soup?" he scoffed, but Romeo had mentioned his eating habits to be rather bland when they had spoken about it at the hotel. Soup was however warm and easy to eat, so Eden could imagine himself at least tasting it. "I dont believe I've ever had a full meal of anything in my life." he explained. Liquids were fine but more solid food like meat could really make him nauseous. "Anything that I dont have to chew and can mix with blood."

"Italian soup?" he hummed, it did sound promising. He looked at the menu as Romeo showed it to him. He looked through the options and then glanced at the lycan as he said it was his turn to pay for them. Was it really? Eden looked at him a little suspiciously. "Is that so?" he asked. He narrowed his eyes before he sighed. "Okay, I'll let you pay." he remarked with a soft kiss on the lycan's forehead as he handed him back the phone. "I'll just have what you suggested, since you seem to be an expert."

“It sounds so good when you say that.” He chuckled, letting the lycan handle the order. Once it was done, he hummed and smiled, just staying close to him as it was quite nice. He agreed to the suggestion and grabbed the lycan’s hand in a gentle grip before heading downstairs again, but did grab a pen with him as well. He sat back down in the sofa and leaned over, mindful of the patch before he looked over the paper. “We have to make it look like you’re really trying to sell this to me.” He said, pointing out some demands that could be crossed over to seem like the lycan had really tried to convince the vampyre.

“Uhh…” he hummed, looking over the point Romeo was pointing to before suggesting something about further freedom to do with the assets as he pleased, because he was really trying his best to make this deal nothing but a yes, that he of course had to decline anyway. When Romeo asked for a break he agreed and they went out, Eden leaving his pack inside with a cigarette resting on his lips. He lit it outside and then heard the lycan’s remark. At first he wasnt sure if it was a good or bad thing but then the addition made a slight grin spread on his lips. “Are you admitting that I’ve made you feel flustered in there?” He asked, walking closer to the lycan as he smoked his cigarette. “What had you expected? That I was some dull businessman who would just brush over the details and not care?” He asked, lifting a hand to play a little with the lycan’s shirt.

“Probably a few. But it’s not like I’ve thought of them even in the slightest in that way. But with you? I’ve been tempted to let my mind wander.” He chuckled. He noticed how the lycan was checking the time. Was that to remind himself that they were on a time limit? Eden wondered. Then Romeo answered the question and it wasnt really the answer he had been hoping for until the lycan spoke further. “Hmmm. Yes, it is rather frustrating to have all these urges and not be allowed to act on them.” He remarked, still playing a bit with the lycan’s shirt before he let go. “I suppose when I do heal fully, there will be a lot to make up for.” He said with a slight smirk, inhaling some smoke through his cigarette before he moved away to snuff out the last bit. He exhaled the smoke and made a slight sigh. How he was looking forward to the day one of them lost their composure while working on something together. The thought was irritating in all the good ways.

“Well you’ve been behaving nicely up until now, so I guess the brat in you havent won yet.” He teased him with a slight smile. Oh this was fun, even if they werent doing anything. It was the thought, the tension. The question made him shrug. “It’s like our first couple of dates. I enjoyed those, even if I never got to touch you like I wanted to.” He said, looking to the servant and thanking her for telling them. He entangled his fingers with Romeo because it was either touch him somehow or go crazy. And Eden wasnt intending of losing himself just yet.

Eden was quite curious to see what it exactly was that the lycan had ordered for them. He noticed how Romeo took in the smell and somehow he envied it, wondering if he would have felt the same had he somehow been human or human-like. He nodded as Romeo explained, looking at the containers with a calculating eye. It was a lot of food for someone who didnt eat food. However hearing Romeo present the dishes in his native tongue made Eden wonder why he hadnt ever asked the lycan to say something before. It sounded so nice and natural. “It’s rather cute that you introduce me to all these things that you loved growing up.” He noted, as he had noticed that to be a pattern. He however liked it a lot. Eden sat down and took the bowl with soup for him, sighing as he looked at the lycan. “I like how italian words just roll off your tongue. It’s a very pleasant sound.”
