I don't like where this is going

He could have made some snarky remark but he just remained quiet as the lycan left. He just kept lying on the bed, leaning his head back a little as he would probably just lie there until his head stopped thinking.

Kareema was a little surprised to see Romeo appear out of nowhere and look sad as well. “I’ll keep her safe.” She said like she didnt even have to promise it. She looked at the ring as he handed it to her. “I’ll let Josette hold onto it. I would probably lose it.” She admitted before she watched him walk off. She wasnt going to pry but she did wonder why he had gotten sad. Sure she had an idea but she couldnt be sure.

Eden was going to sort out a few things before he had to go. He didnt even really want to go, because all he was really doing was going to Laure’s mansion in America to sort out her things and how he felt about her right now, he was one angry intrusive thought from just selling the whole thing and everything she had owned in it. But Lucius Trevino had wanted a meeting to hear about the contract that Eden wouldnt accept. Only that the meeting hadnt really gone as planned. First of all, the old lycan was already in a bad mood from Romeo not being around. And there was still a humiliation in Eden not accepting despite them almost tailoring the contract to his liking. And Eden’s response to the old lycan? I just found it far too boring. I’ve got better risks to run than this. That had made Lucius furious, mostly because he could have imagined Romeo being met with the same attitude. He had grabbed Eden and shoved him to a wall, making Eden chuckle though he felt a pain in his stomach. That damned wound would just never heal, he was sure of it. He had however just pulled the old man’s hands off his collar before correcting it, bidding him a good day before he would leave. It was probably the apathy that made Lucius act out again. Grabbing a nearby item he just struck Eden down quite hard out of anger, making the vampyre fall over. He just sighed, moving a hand to feel the back of his head, to feel the blood. He turned over to lie on his back, looking up at the old man. “Is this how you’ll deal with me? Kill me?” He asked, chuckling softly as it was somehow pathetic. “The only way you can make up for your endless disrespect is to let Romeo eventually marry your heir.” Lucius then said, lifting the statue like it was some threat. Eden just shook his head. “No.” He said, gritting his teeth both in anger at the notion and the pain spreading in his lower abdomen.

Romeo’s knocking was what kept the old lycan from lashing out once more. How dared he say no! It was the least he could offer in return for his behaviour. The young lycan entered and Eden noticed how he already seemed all healed up. He accepted the help though he was definitely feeling the pain now.
Lucius looked confused. Already dying? How did Romeo know this? Eden sighed at the remark, not wanting to say something that would out them. “How do you know of this?” Lucius asked, maybe a little harsh in tone, demanding to know what was going on right now. “I told him.” Eden then just said before Romeo could say anything.

Lucius frowned a little as Romeo spoke. He was right but the old lycan was a little too distraught as he realized what he had done. Eden could press charges. The argument he didnt reply to and Eden just returned the look that Romeo sent him. “Josette will decide for herself.” The vampyre just said to add to Romeo’s argument. “I’ll be fine.” He however said as Romeo insisted that he should be escorted home. He wasnt some weakling that needed help.

Eden just followed rather than arguing further with the lycan. Lucius didnt have to have fuel added to his suspicions, though he seemed too distraught to even be thinking right now. They got into the car and Eden just sat quietly, placing a hand over the patch as it was bleeding through, painting his shirt red with blood. “Because I like feeling limited and hurt?” He repeated, looking at the lycan with a frown. “I cant just turn into a wolf and magically heal in a week.” He said with a sigh.

“Maybe.” He sighed with a slight shrug. The blunt statement made him scoff. “And how do you plan to stop me?” He just asked, because he was curious to know. Would Romeo stay with him, make sure that he wouldnt just leave?
They arrived and Eden didnt really like how stubborn Romeo was right now. Eden took the help out of the car but when the lycan tried to support him he refused. It was just harder to fight when he was hurting and Romeo was stronger than him right now. He huffed lightly with his teeth slightly gritted as he was helped down to sit.
It felt like no matter what he did, Romeo would make sure the patch was changed.
He just sat there, grumbling in his own annoyance, while Romeo took care of the wound. So he felt like a wild animal now? Romeo got up and spoke of calling the doctor but Eden got up despite it not being good for him, grabbing the lycan’s wrist with the phone. “I dont take orders from anyone.” He almost hissed. “What were you thinking back then? Are you trying to have your uncle figure out what is actually going on between us?”

Romeo’s words stung. Because Eden didnt even really know what he wanted. Most probably for this to not make him feel so empty. He was too used to that feeling when he had just been some playtoy to his sister. The lycan forced him down and he grit his teeth a little by that because this brat had surely gotten a lot stronger in the meantime of Eden getting weaker. He felt the warm hand on his cheek and he had to admit that that warmth was the only thing that seemed to make him feel something. It wasnt like everything else that was cold and inmovable. Romeo was warm and soft, and even if Eden was still angry with him, he loved him. The mutter made him shake his head, especially at the last part. “I’ve still got the one I love. He’s this annoying brat who never seem to stop.” He said quite annoyed, looking up at him reaching up to touch his face, move some of his hair away. “I’m still angry. And jealous. But I still only think about you, all the time, always.” He admitted. He took his hands off his face, moving away as he sighed, lifting a hand to touch the back of his own head. It had healed now, but the blood had also dried up in his hair and down his neck.

Eden definitely had a weird way of showing love, especially if he was met with hardships. The lycan left and Eden just sat there. He looked at the dried blood on his fingers, rubbing his index and thumb together to rub it off. “It’s just blood.” He said with a sigh. There was no wound, which probably was quite lucky for Lucius. “I could have many reasons to refuse.” He argued, closing his eyes as it felt nice to be cared for, mostly because he knew it was Romeo.
The question made him silent for a bit. He thought about what to say, while he felt him breathe in rather close to him. He turned and leaned a bit closer to the lycan, just so they were face to face. “I dont know how to explain it. It’s like when kids have a favorite toy. You know no one will touch it because it’s yours. But you still see how they look at it. How they itch to grab it, just to see if it’s really all that.” He said, not knowing how else to describe it. “But no one knows that you’re mine.” He added, looking at the lycan’s face. “And they’re already setting you up to be with someone else.” He said as he looked down, reaching up to touch the lycan’s collar. He wondered how his shoulder looked now. If it had just healed perfectly by luck or if there would be a scar.

“You know you’re not.” He sighed. He watched as the lycan got out of his shirt, looking at the scar. Somehow it was quite beautiful on his skin but Eden didnt really want to touch it. He didnt fight the lycan as he grabbed his hand and made him. He carefully began touching it on his own, feeling the scar. The question made him frown. The answer was clear. He did want people to know. But Romeo was ahead of him, speaking words that made Eden’s heart ache in the best way it could’ve in weeks. He reached over to grab his face, pulling him in to connect their lips. “Dont say such sweet things to me.” He muttered against his lips, kissing him again. God how he had missed him and his lips.

He wasnt going to deny him feeling his tongue as he couldnt wait to taste him either. He touched his cold chest, just enjoying the intimate kiss before the lycan broke it off. Being told to rest after such a kiss felt like torment. But Eden was done fighting and being against everything the lycan told him. He just hummed, lifting a hand to dry his lips. “You’re too stubborn to let me deny you anyway.” He sighed, letting the lycan help him though he wasnt sure how to feel about being tucked in. “If you’re not, I’ll find you.” He promised with a sigh, pulling the duvet closer around himself before he gave in to his tired body, falling somewhat into a slumber.

When he woke, he felt so hungry. He didnt know how long he had been gone for, but it didnt feel like a short time. He sat up, ran a hand through his hair and looked down at the patch. It had been changed while he was sleeping, he could see that much.

[justify]Romeo felt relieved at the fact that Eden gave in, sighing as he nodded at the promise. "Just rest," he muttered against his forehead. He left to set up everything with the doctor.

Seeing Josette he frowned a little as he wasnt quite expecting to see her. But it wasnt like he was angry with her for being there. Seeing her relieved made hin wonder if she would smile the same if she knew the truth. “How long has I been asleep for?” He asked, staying in bed now that she had asked him to. He also wondered why Romeo wasnt here. Probably because she was here now, he guessed as much.

Two and a half weeks of slumber? No wonder he felt as if he was starving. “She always think of the worst outcome there is.” He muttered at the notion of the doctor’s prognosis. He looked towards the blinds as she adjusted them, sighing as he felt so stiff and rigid. He thanked the servant for the blood and downed it rather quick. Like he hadnt gotten to eat like this for a while. Sure, fresh warm blood had been preferred but he was in no condition to hunt. He heard the commotion too and Josette’s words made him hum. It was true that he had said that but what did she define as a change? Romeo came in and Eden felt a little relieved though his expression remained the same. He was a bit more reluctant with showing how he really felt when others were around. However Romeo kissing him made him lift a hand to grab his shirt a little to hold onto him. “I’m sorry for having slept so long.” He said, leaning his forehead onto the lycan’s.

He scoffed at the mutter to then feel another kiss. Josette’s hum did however pull him a bit out of the moment. He still hadnt come to terms with what she was to him. And he didnt know if he could push it aside or leave it to eat him up inside but the latter seemed to sneak in on him slowly but surely. Josette came over and hugged the lycan which Eden didnt mind. Romeo’s mutter however made the lycan seem different, but Eden couldnt think of how right in the moment.
When Josette poked her head out, Eden frowned as he swore it looked like Laure for a second. He was only glad that his heart was already dead or it would have skipped a few beats in surprise. “What meeting?” He asked after Romeo’s comment about her. They seemed closer now and Eden was curious. He felt the lycan pull at him and he let him, placing a hand on his back to press him closer. “I feel fine.” He said rather honestly. After getting something to eat and having slept that long, he actually felt somewhat normal again.
