A whole lot of fuckery going on here

He shook his head no at the question. It hadnt really come to mind before he had realized that he had taken her underwear with him when he left. He looked at the lycan as he sat down, frowning a little at the mutter. “This has nothing to do with you. What Lucius did is not your fault. You shouldnt be held responsible for something an old man did, because you never forced his hand.” He said like he wasnt even going to hear another excuse from Romeo on his uncle’s behalf. He grabbed his phone as a message chimed in, frowning a little. “Lucius wants to discuss a settlement.” He scoffed. “I guess I’ll go tell him to shove it.”

Eden was actually quite happy that Romeo couldnt do much. He didnt want the lycan tangled further into the mess than he already was. It was enough that Lucius had chosen a lawyer just to taunt them. Or could he even call it taunting? It was more. It was degrading, well thought out just to hurt. Then Romeo mentioned neglect and Eden listened. But he clearly wasnt really happy with it, how could he? “He can call the police, no one can come and get you here if you dont want them to.” He said with a sigh. It was just the power that laid in having a high standing vampyre family. The rest of the clans would make sure that their business would be covered and protected, even more seeing that Romeo wasnt even a vampyre. Practically just a playtoy to them that they would allow Eden to keep. However he hated that that was how they viewed the man he loved, but he also couldnt care for the opinion of theirs.
He got up and went over to the lycan, cupping his face as he pulled him in for a tender kiss. “I dont want you to get further into this. Not with that lawyer on Lucius’ side being someone who violated you.” He said, a little stern but he couldnt keep up on two fronts at the same time. “I gotta go.” He said before he kissed the lycan again. “Thank you for all you’ve done up until now.” He said against his lips, leaning back away, sending the lycan a soft assuring smile. They would be fine. Right?

He noticed how the lycan was frowning, biting the inside of his cheek a little as it was quite clear that he didnt want him to go. “Dont give me that look.” He sighed, looking shortly at his lips. “I really do have to go. So dont wake my urges.” He said, though it pained him a bit as well. Had it just been some minor business meeting had he not minded running late if the reason had been him pushing the lycan up the cabinet while their tongues danced. But it wasnt just that. “We’ll have time tonight to do anything you want.”

Eden went after the kiss, promising not to take long. It couldnt, it would be meaningless. There was no settlement to be had, Eden wouldnt settle for his family being violated without some kind of justice.
Kareema was just reading while her hand was touching the young vampyress in gentle motions. They didnt always have to sit and talk, they both knew how to enjoy silence in each other’s company. When Romeo passed by, she looked up, noticing how he seemed unsure on how to approach the young vampyress. But it didnt seem too odd taking the circumstances into account. He suggested food and the old vampyress hummed in thought before she looked at Josette. “Yeah, you havent eaten in a while, so we should go.” She said, sending her a soft smile before she got up and put down the book. “Should we go out or order? What do you feel like?” She said looking from one young person to the other.

Maybe he should have known better than to agree to meet up with a lunatic. The location had seemed off but also public enough for Eden to not mind it. Until it turned out that getting there was complicated. And in the end he didnt make it there. He regained conscience eventually, feeling his wrists strapped to the pole holding up the chair’s back. This wasnt usually how things went for Eden, so it felt weird to be the one strapped down in place. A man was scrambling around with a few things, uttering some italian words to a goon at the door. “Mr… Parish.” He greeted him as he turned, his accent so thick, Eden wasnt even sure that the man had spent much time around people who spoke english. “We are told… that you are a… uhm…” he stopped in his words, thinking before he spoke. “A… Pezzo di merda…” - “That’s piece of shit.” - “Yes, thank you Paolo. A piece of shit.” The man said, keeping rather calm as he rolled up his sleeves. He was old too, seemingly as old as Lucius. “I am the man that is called when you want someones to disappear. I will makes them.” He said, flashing a short smile. “Is nothing personal.” He assured him. Eden looked down to see that his shirt had been opened, exposing the mark under his collarbone, the one Romeo had made. He looked back up with a frown. “Making me disappear wont help Lucius with his case.” - “I am not here for Lucius. I am simply here because I was told to.” He said before he went to crouch at the vampyre’s legs, feeling his knee a little. “But we have fun first, just a little bit, okay?”

At the backroom, some guy was playing around with the vampyre’s phone, sitting with his jacket as well. He was quite happy with himself, showing it off, saying how he helped out a few guys to get it by tricking a vampyre.

He hadnt expected to draw any negative attention to himself so when the young lycan approached him in a threatening manner, he shifted between his eyes for a second before he scoffed. “You’re just a kid. I’m not scared of you.” He said before he sighed and gave him another look. “I could tell you where they took him. For a favor….” He chuckled, but he also meant it. Nothing came for free in this world, at least if you asked the guy.

“I dont know yet.” He chuckled as the lycan moving closer, he breathed in and felt almost mesmerized by him in an instant. “I’d do anything for you.” He suddenly admitted, looking rather lovestruck. He reached over to play with his collar, taking in his features. He even handed him the phone without saying why. But wasnt it obvious? He was very attracted to the lycan, even more now when he had breathed in pheromones.

Oh Romeo did have him around his little finger, that much was true. Though the question made him frown a bit as it seemed more like competition. “Why do you want to know?” He asked, a little anxiously. It was true that he would do anything but even that had a sort of limit. But then Romeo touched him and he sighed happily, chuckling a bit. “Fine I’ll tell you.” He said before he leaned in to whisper the location into the lycan’s ear.

“.. You are very boring. You know that?” The old man asked, lifting Eden’s head by his hair. He had beaten him up pretty bad but the vampyre had healed, leaving only small trails of blood where cuts and wounds had been. But the healing was also taking a toll on his energy, he could feel that now. Eden chuckled, to then grit his teeth a little. “Sorry.” He said, the man letting him go. “How did you get that scar? Vampyres dont just scar.” The old man asked, walking back to his table of intruments. Eden didnt reply and the man came back to then press something dried and sharp against his bloodied cheek. Eden frowned. “You recognize this? Good. Now we are taking each other seriously, yes?” He asked, sending the vampyre a small smile.

If Romeo would leave the guy would follow, grabbing his sleeve. “Dont just leave me!” He exclaimed in panic. No he couldnt lose the lycan, he refused to! He wanted to protect him, keep him safe, love him.

The brute didnt want to lose the lycan, that much was obvious. But Romeo was also very convincing, the promise making him smile like a fool in love. “You promise?” He sighed, his grip letting up. If Romeo promised he would go right away, because how could someone that felt like the love of his life now ever lie? It just wasnt possible and yet he would feel like an idiot later when he realized he had been played.

Another brute entered the room, the man holding the stake to Eden’s heart in a threatening manner, both of them turning their heads to look at him. “Young Trevino has been spotted heading this way.” He said, the old man sighing as he removed the stake and threw it on the table. “Fine. Let him come in. I havent seen my grandson in a while.” He said, grabbing a chair to sit down not far from Eden. The vampyre was shaking slightly from pain, but there was no wound or cut to indicate where from. He however did his best to keep his knee still. The old man sat with with a tobacco pipe, lighting it and smoking calmly.

The notion that he was sitting in front of Romeo’s grandfather made him feel a little weird. Surely, he knew of all that had happened up until now? That was why he was hurting him, right? The lycan came in and the grandfather remained seated while he focused on smoking his pipe. It wasnt till he looked their way that the old lycan smiled. “Hello Romeo.” He said in a somehow warm tone. He exhaled the thick smoke, keeping his back straight and sitting rather proper. He glanced over towards Romeo’s mother. “This is your son.” He said pointing towards the young lycan. “If he misbehaves, it does not reflect on his person but rather the person who should have guided him in the right direction.” He said calmly before he looked to his grandson and his vampyre lover. “Explain this to me.” He said, it clearly wasnt a question.

“Lucius will be dealt with as well as your son.” The old lycan said, just as Romeo began speaking. He listened, narrowing his eyes slightly. Chiara shut him up but the elder had to admit that now his curiousity had been sparked. Eden was not very happy with seeing Romeo get slapped that way, like he was just some child being put in his rightful place. “Arsenius is rotting in his crippled state, so you can no longer toss your blame his way. I’ve always believed in justice and when a young person in this family decides to take such drastic measures, it is no longer just a matter of teenage rebellion.” He said as he got up, walking over to Romeo, not even having to tell him to look his way. “As it seems, my own son cant even behave as he was supposed to, so what can we expect from the child in his care?” He asked, looking towards his daughter. Then he looked at Romeo again, he lifted his hand, gesturing for the lycan to place his in it. If he did, the old lycan’s fingers would change into claws, pressing lightly to show that this wasnt just some joke. “Did you seek out this man with intention of love?” He said, nodding towards Eden.

He didnt mind if the lycan needed time to think about his answer. No matter what, he would be able to tell if Romeo lied. And it was crucial that he didnt. He hummed at the answer, looking at his grandson, opening his mouth to ask a new question as Romeo spoke again. “Your love right now is the least important part in all this.” He said sternly, digging a claw into the young lycan’s hand. “What did Lucius do that night? Only speak of what you know for sure. If you havent seen it, do you then know it? Think.” He urged him, looking at the vampyre that looked rather angry. “So you finally decide to show some emotion.” He slightly mocked him.

It was important to hear of what the lycan thought of that night. What he had seen, not what he had heard, whose story he believed over someone else’s. The elder only wanted to know what he knew. And when Romeo mentioned Lucius speaking of his wife, the grandfather frowned, glancing towards his daughter. He let go of Romeo’s hand and handed him a handkerchief for his bleeding hand. “So it is true.” He sighed, moving over to the table of instruments gritting his teeth. “In this family there is a certain chance that… one can get… a um.. how do you say.. a sickness.” He said, pointing towards his head. “Lucius has always had small moments, even as a kid. He made up beliefs when he met Alexis that she was never faithful.” He explained, though it did come true eventually, it wasnt like he had been true to her either. The elder looked to his daughter with a frown.
