Gods only knew how much she hated that filthy old vampyre for corrupting her son! "But where does that leave us with the settlement?" she asked, looking from the vampyre to her father, as he seemed to always have the answer. Romeo moved a little, standing slightly in front of Eden as if to protect him. He knew there wouldn't be much he could do, but he couldn't stand by and do nothing.

Chiara hummed, looking to her son. It was clear how disappointed she was, but she was also hurt by this betrayal. Had she not done everything in her power to raise him right? Either way she had failed, and that would come to cost her in the long run.
Romeo was handed a knife, and he looked up at his grandfather. As much loyalty as you demand. He wasn't sure how to take that sentence, but nodded, seemingly understanding that he was no longer protected by the Trevino family. It hurt him a bit. The cold hand was soothing, but he felt like he should be comforting Eden more. If it wasn't for him, he wouldn't be in all of this mess. He would've still had his sister, Josette her mother ...
