Cat astray

He looked up at him and listened, not really seeing anything weird with his approach at all. He had done something quite like it yesterday as well, so it came all too natural. He felt the seraph touch a strand of his hair but didnt mind it.
The suggestion made his pupils dialate slightly as it was in fact just what he needed. He hummed happily, pressing his nose to the side of Vinnie’s thigh while he sighed. He then looked up at him again. It didnt occur to him that a human would’ve made some sort of affirmation that they’d want that, but it was rather clear that he wasnt objecting.

Vinnie was acting a little different than usually and though Gaspar noticed, it wasnt that big of a concern to him. He didnt put himself in the seraph’s place to try and analyze his behaviour, simply because he hadnt had a need to as a cat. No it was far more simple, if Vinnie was upset he’d nuzzle up to him to try and soothe it, same with angry. If he was happy? More scratches. But this? Gaspar couldnt decode it. And as the seraph got up, he remained, his eyes and head following him as he made distance between them.
Behave? That wouldnt be too difficult. It wasnt like he could jump up on the shelves anymore and knock things over. No life had become much more boring being this big. He turned his eyes to the window, seeing some birds pass by. He got up and moved over to look at the window, not paying much attention to the seraph if he was still there.
He moved onto the couch, trying to sit as he would as a cat but his bones and shape was too different to not hurt from strain. He grunted in annoyance and closed his eyes. Cat stuff Gaspar. It’s easy he told himself before he looked at his arm, noticing the small amount of hair he had. Cats groomed themselves, so he tried, licking the back of his hand to just feel utter dismay as his hand just felt wet and not at all sorted out as fur would’ve been. No, even his tongue was different, all soft and wet and not made for grooming the tiniest amount of hair he had. He had to dry off his hand into his pants to get rid of the wet feeling that he hated more than anything.

Gaspar had moved off the couch. He had pretty much noped the fact that his existence was changing and had sought to a much more comfortable, yet dusty and crammed space. Under the bed. Maybe if he just hid here for a while, then he would turn back into a cat and all life’s troubles would be gone! Vinnie returned but he just remained quiet, though when he tried to move, he got to realize that he was stuck in place. How annoying he sighed. He tried to suck in his stomach and move but he only inflated his chest further, and if he thought he was stuck before then he was super stuck when he tried to move like this. He grunted lightly, feeling the dust like sone crude veil. And eventually he sneezed, knocking his head up into the bedframe, whimpering and then hissing at the wood.

He heard the seraph approach him, though it didnt stop him from squirming on his own. But what felt like a wiggle for freedom actually only changed him from the original position he had gotten stuck in. He was definitely unhappy and dramatic, thinking that he might just be stuck forever. When he eventually was pulled out fron under the bed, his breath was heaving like crazy, his cheeks a rosy colour in the tanned skin as his golden eyes looked at the seraph. His mouth fell slightly open and he felt like he had ran a marathon or something else that didnt cross his mind. His pupils dialated a little as he looked at him.

The seraph was flustered again. Gaspar looked a little confused though still gasping lightly, having calmed down just a bit. Vinnie got up and he watched him go, blinking a few times as the door closed and he was left alone. He sat up, shaking his head to get rid of some of the dust that was sticking to it. The hand slamming the door scared him and he jumped before blinking confused at the door. What happened? Was he alright? He got up and decided to go check. Better make sure he wasnt hurt, though he wouldnt know how to help him if that was the case at all.

Door handles were such a hassle to deal with. But he eventually got the door open, seeing the seraph stand there without his pants on. The cat turned human frowned slightly but seemingly didnt mind as he lifted his gaze to look at him, his eyes darting around like he was looking for any kind of wound or bruise. “H-…urt?” He asked, frowning slightly as he looked at him. Of course he worried. It had been a pretty hard slam. At least Gaspar hadnt heard anything like it.

Knock? Gaspar looked down at his hand before he carefully formed a fist, making the knocking motion. Then he looked at Vinnie. There he knocked. Better? he thought while the seraph dried off. There was something up with the seraph. Gaspar couldnt figure out what it was exactly. But he was onto him, narrowing his eyes slightly. Why was he being different now? The question made Gaspar make a rather thoughtful reaction, but instead of answering, he left to go sit on the couch. He didnt care if he invited people over. At least the seraph didnt have to ask had he been a cat.

Gaspar looked at the water pitcher and one of the glasses, feeling a little thirsty. He decided to try. He remembered this from the old lady’s home. He could do it. He grabbed around the pitcher and carefully poured half a glas of water. It should be enough. Then he grabbed around the glass and carefully poured some into his mouth. It was so weird to not be slurping up the water. And eventually his grip loosened as he drank from the glass, dropping it over himself, drenching the t-shirt. He grunted angrily and made small timy noises of complaints while the cold water stuck to his chest and stomach.

The seraph sat next to him and he let him help him out of the wet shirt, not minding sitting here without it. Well it was fine as long as he didnt look down. When he did, he felt like running off again. So he was trying to avoid that as best as he could.
The cloth felt really nice on his skin, he looked at little confused at first but then he began purring. At least as best as his human physique could let him. He watched the seraph while he was drying him off, wondering if he found him annoying now. Was that what was so different now? He accepted the help into the dry shirt, frowning at the mention of straws. He looked at it as Vinnie placed it in the glass. The instructions seemed weird. How was he supposed to do that? He decided to save the try for when he felt thirsty again. “-Whyyyy…” he voiced, frowning as he looked for his next words. “Di-ferent?” He asked.

The confession didnt spark much of a reaction beside the cat turned human shifting his yellow eyes on the seraph’s. Vinnie explained further and Gaspar just seemed to be taking it in and not much else. Why was he asking him if it was right? He didnt know. Gaspar looked down, frowning slightly. “I walk.” He said as he got up. He felt a little too human for this conversation and while he didnt doubt Vinnie’s good heart, it was quite overwhelming. It wasnt like he wanted to be this way! He didnt! “A..lone.” He added, unsure of even what to put on. He felt the panic again but kept himself somewhat calm.

Vinnie helped him and it was probably for the better. He didnt know what to say or what to do, just get out and clear his head. Wasnt that what the seraph wanted anyway? Some space from the annoying that that wasnt even a cat anymore? He went out and went for his walk, believing he would know how to make his way back but he quickly forgot where he even had come from. Another consequence of being an in-door only cat. He at least had no idea where to go once he had cooled down. And suddenly he was starting to miss the comfort he had gotten from the seraph, even if he was wrong now and apparently weird.
