Stay out of it

Smiling he kept kissing that spot, around it and nibbling softly at her earlobe, "like this?" he muttered sweetly. Hearing her say she liked his breath made him chuckle softly, "I can work with that," he whispered, making sure his hot breath hit her skin wherever she wanted it. He would give her anything she wanted. Pushing her back a little he moved on to the bed with her, sitting on his knees, holding her face gently so he had better access. "Just tell me what you want .. I'll give you anything you need," he muttered.

The kisses made the hairs on her neck stand up and a tingly feeling spread down her spine. As he nibbled her earlobe, she sighed quite sweetly but also shuddered and had to lean a bit away as goosebumps spread on her skin. She just needed a moment, leaning back forward when she was ready to feel his lips, his breath, his closeness. Her breath was trembling slightly.
She let him push her and placed her hands gently on his hips, just to hold onto something. “I have everything I need in front of me.” She whispered, feeling sweet goosebumps all over, a soft moan making her hiccup if he was still touching her skin with his lips.

It was nice that she took her breaks. He didn't want to overwhelm her, but he also took the fact that she leaned in again to mean she wanted more. Her whisper made his jaw tense, kissing her along her cheek back to her lips. "You're goin to make me fall in love with you way too fast," he muttered, though he hadn't really realized the fact that he might already be on the fast pass of that line. "Touch me more," a soft plea to feel her hands roam his skin. It was almost innocent the way they were right now, just exploring, making out and being intimate in a way that was so new and perhaps a bit daring.

She was definitely into this as well as what they had been doing before but she was a bit more aware of herself. Not in a bad way, never in a bad way. It was quite the opposite, wanting to keep herself aware of what felt really good and what they could work on. His mutter made her scoff as she looked at him, though the plea made her forget what she was about to say. She ran her hands up his body, feeling his muscles under the tough skin that somehow felt soft to the touch. Never would she think that he could ever hurt her like he had been so scared of. Remembering what she was going to say, she pulled away from his lips, licking her own clean as she gasped softly for air. “I’ve said it before. If I make you fall in love with me, it’s only because I fell first.” She said a little breathlessly, shifting between his eyes before leaning in to kiss him again.

Her hands touching over his skin made his muscles tense, not in a bad way but almost as if it moved like a piece of metal to a magnet. Her breathless words made him smile, gladly leaning in to the kiss. Shuffling a bit and making out they eventually were laying down once more. The movie was over, having returned to the menu screen, but he had barely noticed.
Leaning away he was panting softly, his cheek having plenty of color as he looked at her. "How am I ever going to get any sleep when you're here next to me?" he asked softly, running his hand down her side, grasping softly at her shirt. "Can I ..?" he asked, lifting her shirt a little. He just wanted to feel her skin if she allowed it.

She chuckled softly as he leaned away, taking her glasses off now that they were lying in bed anyway. “You’ve already slept next to me before. What has changed?” She asked teasingly. She leaned a bit over him to put glasses out of reach and felt his hand tug softly at her shirt. Or so it felt. She looked down to his hand at his question before she looked at him and nodded. “Yeah. Go ahead.” She urged him, so while he could do that, she would be looking at him, taking in his features. The beauty mark on his cheekbone, his curls that were growing out.

What had changed? She had to be kidding him. "You're my girlfriend now .. Doesn't that count for reason enough?" His lips pulling up in a charming smile as his hand moved under her shirt, fingers moving delicately over her skin. He couldn't get enough of feeling her, moving closer to intertwine their legs. "How are you so soft?" he muttered in amazement, looking around her face as if she had an actual answer for him. He chuckled, leaning in, kissing her forehead, breathing against her hairline. "And smell so good?"

“Stop being so sweet.” She giggled, sighing softly at the feeling of his warm hand. She was a little colder than most, so it was nice to feel his hands. Her hands were touching up his chest before she moved one hand behind him and up his back, just to press him closer while he seemed to be pulling at her. The mutter and the way he looked at her took her by surprise and she muttered a few sounds of confusion like she was actually trying to answer. “I guess I’m just really appealing to you.” and that wasnt something she could say about many at this point. The cat started complaining, scratching the kitchen door as it was starting to feel hungry. To make things worse, it had also peed on the floor, since there were no litterbox and it refused to go in the crate now that it had come out.

Hearing the cat making a fuss he finally gave in to get up and fix it all. He didn't even care that it had peed on the floor, but made a mental note to pick up a new litterbox and some more cat food. At some point both of them had fallen asleep, nestled up to one another.
The next day he woke up as his alarm beeped, sighing he turned it off to kiss her forehead, "I gotta go, princess," he muttered, hating it already, but someone would be outside already to take over for him. "You got work today?" he smiled, hoping to hear a yes. "I can pick you up after?"

It was very nice of him to go deal with the cat, though she did get up too to handle the cat pee. She had all sorts of products that easily took care of the smell. When they eventually fell asleep, she made sure to be tangled up in him, having some pretty good dreams now that was close. When they woke up she complained softly and held onto him. “Nooo. Please.” She whimpered in a soft plea but was way too tired to put up an actual struggle to keep him there. The question she hummed softly at to confirm. “I do. You can pick me up.” She sighed, snuggling her head onto his chest. She looked up at him, blinking, though her eyelids felt so heavy.

Holy shit she was really cute right now. He hated that he had to leave, but he also had his obligations. Besides that if he didn't stick to his ways, things could get out of hand. He smiled as she agreed to have him come pick her up afterwards, "I'll see you later then," he muttered, kissing her all over her tired face. He smiled, carefully getting out of bed before tucking her in. Biting his lower lip he smiled, placing his hoodie down next to her, "to keep you warm, princess," he said, kissing her hair gently before he had to leave.
Making sure the next guard was in place he went to the safehouse that they shifted to last night while he was gone. Stepping inside he called to have a meeting with Jason and Nyx, not giving a shit if they were sleeping, telling them to meet him down the hall in one of the rooms.

Nyx had no real choice, practically getting grabbed from her bed by a couple of goons, she tried fighting it at first, but there was no chance she could when they had the upper-hand. Being dragged in to a room she felt her breath hiccupping a bit, especially as she saw Rhys there. She wasn't too good at this, feeling the fear creep up on her already. "B-boss," she greeted him, her eyes moving around the room, wondering what was going on.

“Do.. or I will come looking for you.” She warned him with a slight narrow of her tired eyes, trying to look intimidating like she thought he could be. However she was far too tired to just stay awake, so as soon as he tucked her in and put his hoodie down next to her, she pulled it in and buried her face in it before continuing with her sleep.

Jason had barely gotten sleep tonight, mostly because a incomplete mission could drive him nuts. It was like his mind went a thousand places with possibilities and plans, most that wouldnt even work. When he finally fell asleep, he had only slept a couple of hours before he was dragged out of bed, thrown a shirt and then dragged along. He didnt ask questions but definitely had a sour expression on his face. When he was pulled inside the room to see Nyx and then Rhys, his jaw tensed, just a slight bit. He couldnt be serious with this shit now at this hour!

Nyx' eyes widened as she saw Jason come in as well. What was going on? Had someone seen them? Was this because he had taken her punishment? She felt shivers go down her back, looking down a little ashamed. The last thing she wanted was for him to look at her when she knew what was coming.
Rhys straightened his back a little, a few bones cracking as he looked from Jason to Nyx and back. "I trust you understand why you are here .. Or do you need a list?" he asked, cold and distant in his voice. He watched Jason carefully, because he usually wanted to speak up and object to what was going on. "J-just get t-to it b-boss," she said, looking up and trying to keep her face neutral, but her arms were shaking a little. She wasn't afraid of getting hurt, she was afraid of breaking and earning herself a harsher beating.

Nyx frowned, looking to Jason with a betrayed look in her eyes. He had known she was going to get punished today? Her eyes watered but she opted to look away, not wanting to start crying. Rhys nodded, one goon grabbing Jason, keeping him in place and the other going to Nyx, placing her hands on the desk. Her shoulders started to shake more visibly now, and it wasn't helping that Rhys was so close, fucking with her fear senses.
"You know the rules; If you break it will be worse for you," he said, walking around to look Nyx in the eyes. She nodded, and he hummed, looking to Jason briefly, "and I'll know if you look away." Nyx was trying to calm her breath, though it manage to hiccup slightly as she watched him pull out a knife. He placed the knife at the tip of her finger, pressing it under the nail, making her grit her teeth. "Jason, care to explain this wrong intel for me once more?" he said, being cruel, but he had to be. Nyx grit her teeth and if Jason didn't reply fast enough for his liking he would stick the knife under her nail, pulling it from her finger, making her whimper.

Jason didnt like this but he could only stand by and watch. That was his punishment. He looked at the knife, frowning as it was almost pissing him off. This was definitely a test. Test of his loyalty and whether he could do as he was told. The mention of the wrong intel made him frown, muttering something as it was like he couldnt quite remember it. His mind was still so tired. Yet watching the nail be peeled off with Nyx’s whimper woke him up. “The informant was an addict. Should have known he couldnt be trusted.” He said, grinding his teeth lightly.

Nyx was shivering, feeling the warm blood pool where her fingernail used to be. Her eyes fluid, trying to blink away the tears as Jason finally replied. She felt like she could breathe at last, but every swallow of spit tasted like metal. "An addict?" he repeated, clicking his tongue, pressing the sharp tip of the knife under another nail, "why would you trust an addict anyways? Why not wait until you got better intel?" They both knew it was always a waiting game. Sure they had to get what was in that briefcase, but there was no reason to be stupid. Regardless of what he answered he would take another name, making Nyx bend her elbow, shaking from the pain, feeling her vision blur.

An addict. Jason had known the risks and had done it anyway. His impatience had gotten the best of him and now others were suffering for his mistakes. Maybe that was the lesson of it but Jason couldnt see it like thst right now. “It sounded so easy. Just in and out, end the day.” He said, clenching his hand to a fist as he watched Nyx’s nails be pulled one by one. He couldnt imagine the pain. He did feel sorry for her and also partly to blame. He was breathing hard through his nose, like an angry bull. “You dont have to be so hard on her.” He then just said, as his emotions got the best of him. “Is it because your girlfriend got involved? Is that it?” He just needed to know, why it had to be this harsh.

"There he is," Rhys said a little cynically, looking up from what he was doing to look at Jason. He knew the kid had a weak spot for Nyx, but he hadn't expected him to bend so easily. And the blow about Emily? He placed the tip of the knife in to one of the nailbeds that had been removed, making her grunt and groan, biting the inside of her cheek to not scream in pain, but he was digging in, slowly reaching the bone that made her fall to her knees. "Why are you protecting her so fiercely? It's a bit over the top even for you," he said coldly, looking him up and down. Nyx whimpered but Rhys continued, "what did she promise you? She must've promised you something really good." Nyx was starting to whimper at this point, but they both knew that he couldn't say what they had been doing. If he did, it would be over for her, and they wouldn't ever see one another again.

Jason was quite easy to bend at the right spots. And this was one of them. He probably shouldnt have brought Emily into it but without an answer, he could only believe what he thought he knew. Rhys was right to point out how protective he was of her but it was maybe a bad time while he was sticking a knife through her finger. He just kept watching that, ignoring the question completely. Pulling free from the goon holding his shirt, he just darted towards Rhys to stop this, slamming into him with his shoulder even if he wasnt strong or bulky. “That’s enough!” He yelled, looking at Rhys with furious eyes. He wasnt in a position to make demands but that wouldnt stop him.

Nyx was shaking as Rhys was pulled off of her. The hybrid looking rather patiently at Jason as the guy pressed him up against the wall. The goons hurried forward, but Rhys held out a hand, telling them to stop. "I say when it's enough," he made it very clear with a cold voice, easily pushing Jason off of him. "What has gotten into you lately?" he asked, shaking his head as he was more disappointed than anything. Jason had always been loyal to him, "have I not always provided for you? Always made sure you had clothes on your body and a roof over your head?" Clicking his tongue he shook his head. Nyx had gotten up on her feet, her hands still on the desk.
"I promised him .. I promised him I'd fib to the old man about him getting an extra day off," she lied, but she was sounding very convincing, "n-now get on with it." She was prepared for the whole nine yards, but she felt scared that Rhys would see through her lie.

Rhys was right but Jason was pissed off and had had enough of it. Maybe it was his conflicting feelings with Nyx playing in, the fact that Rhys was making things worse and for what? Some random girl? The question made him grit his teeth and he didnt answer. He pointed out something that spoke a little to his senses but not enough. “Since when did you ever care about some random girl?!” He turned it on the hybrid. Not even for Elaine had he ever made punishments based on whether she was hurt.
Nyx lied for them but Jason just barked at her to shut up, frustration and anger in his tone. He looked back at Rhys. “The Rhys that I pledged to was cold! He didnt go soft for anybody. And now? Some ghoul-looking brunette has softened him up.” the last sentence was spoken quite vile. He would take the punch for it, gladly even.
