| His heart was aching but he couldnt push the vampyre away now. It took his mind off the hurt, the anger, the sadness. It made him feel less like he was dealing with this on his own and he definitely couldnt make a logical decision now. The vampyre pulled away and Joe was breathing hard while the tears still ran down his cheeks. Their lips connected again and he returned it just as he had the first one, keeping his eyes closed. He hadnt really been lying when he said he lacked experience due to the lack of interest. But he let his body have the control, not so much his thoughts that were a mess anyway. “Do you hate me?” He asked, though it was a dumb question. It felt quite valid for the time being, even if it didnt make sense. Joe probably wouldnt make sense for a while. |

| Cesare would keep kissing him as long as it was returned like this. He wasn't sure if Benjamin even wantes this. If regret was what the human would feel afterwards, then they would have to deal with it. And the vampyre would have to deal with more heartache. As he gave the human room to breathe once more, the question made him just hold his face as if he was the most precious thing in the world. "I admire you; your courage; your strength; and no, I don't hate you," he said, searching his face before his face turned sad. "But I don't want to take advantage of you when you're like this," he admitted, leaning down to connect their foreheads, "you don't want me .. you just want my comfort," - "and I'll gladly give you that." |

| The break for air left him panting softly, his heartbeat increased with the feeling that was spreading through his chest. He listened to the vampyre, switching between the green eyes that were looking at him. He felt their foreheads connect, frowning lightly at the vampyre’s words. He sat up, sitting face to face with the vampyre, even if he was much taller. He reached up to touch the vampyre’s cold face, holding it between his hands. “I dont deserve it.” He muttered, looking at him with saddened eyes. Even if it felt good. He however couldnt deny that he wanted to be selfish too, and the vampyre were saying all the right things. Joe leaned in, connecting their lips again, moving his hands to rest on Cesare’s shoulders. |

| "No .. you deserve better," he just said in a hushed tone, looking at him and feeling the way his face was cupped. The human leaned in, kissing him and he could do nothing but comply. He was a weak man. He pulled the human up into his lap, wrapping his arms around him, grasping softly at his clothes. His lips moved against Benjamin's as a thought popped into his head, he released his lips, kissing him down his chin and to his throat. "Do you hate me?" He whispered, he wanted to know. Know if what he stoll saw was a monster who deserved nothing in this world. "Do you mind it when I call you Benjamin?" He had a lot of unanswered questions about all of this. He grasped at his shirt, moving his hands under to feel his warm skin against his palms. He felt addicted to that heat. Like he didn't need gravity right now. "I don't want you to hate me," he admitted in a rather vulnerable tone, though it was clear in saying that, that he didn't expect things to change. Maybe he just wanted to be hurt. Maybe he wanted to experience this and have the human hate him forever. |

| He definitely wouldnt believe that he deserved better as of right now which maybe explained why he behaved as he did. Seeking comfort from a vampyre? Would he really have done that under different circumstances? He felt the pull and ended up on the vampyre’s lap, but their kissing continued undisturbed until the vampyre broke it off. The question made Joe frown as he felt the answer was complicated. “I dont know.” He muttered, because he couldnt really say that he was in touch with himself right now. “I dont care what you call me.” He however said. The vampyre could call him anything he wanted. He felt the hands wander but didnt say anything. He just hugged him closer, hearing the vulnerable whisper. “Why do you care? I’m just an idiotic human.” He muttered, unsure why it meant so much to the immortal. |

| Cesare wasn't sure he liked hearing that the human was still undecided about it all. It made every kiss he planted on him feel bitter in that sense. But he couldn't stop. He didn't care if he got hurt. He just didn't want the human to. The mutter made him frown, pulling away he looked at him with conflicted eyes. "I'm kissing you, touching you .. do you really think I don't care about what you think?" He asked, because did he truly see him as such a monster that would just take and take? He sighed, closing his eyes and pinching his nosebridge. "I'm sorry," he just apologized. The human needed the comfort. But Cesare wasn't sure he could simply just do that not knowing if he would be hated for it down the line. "Maybe .. maybe I'm just stuck in my head about it," he muttered, shaking his head no, "forget I asked." Returning to tend to his neck, his mind racing but the human needed him. And he felt selfish for giving in like this. His hands kept exploring his warm back, grasping softly at his skin. Maybe he was sorta hoping that he would be hated for this. Perhaps that would make it easier to keep his promise down the line. "Please say my name .. as if i mean something to you." A gentle plea from a vampyre who usually wouldn't care. |

| He saw the conflict in the vampyre’s eyes, listening to him speak. He didnt really know what to say. Was it really odd that he still wasnt sure where to place him? Sure, his affection had grown in the time they had spent together but Joe didnt know if it was just because he was bored or genuine. The apology made him feel less sure that this wasnt exactly what he was starting to think that it was. And yet it was easier to push it away. He frowned lightly at the mutter, to then be told to forget about it. Was the vampyre truly this conflicted? He felt the kisses on his neck again and he closed his eyes, feeling how Cesare grasped at him. The plea made him sigh, leaning back to look at the vampyre. “Cesare. I dont think we should do this.” Though he said his name in a tender tone, his words were serious. |

| The human leaned away and it was safe to say the vampyre sterned up bu the serious words. He had felt so good hearing his name spoken with such tenderness, but the speak of stopping made his walls come back up. He wasn't too sure what to say of all of this. "I don't think it's wise either," he said, releasing him gently, though he could feel his body reacting reluctantly. As if he didn't want to let him go. "I'm genuinely sorry," he apologized once more, looking down a bit ashamed. He hadn't wanted to do anything but make the human feel good. "Hah .. I guess I truly am the monster you think I am," he scoffed. He let the human move off of him before he got up from the bed. "I'll go fetch you something to eat; you can go have a shower, clean up a bit." He said, almost distant in his tone, but he couldn't afford to break infront of the human. |

| Cesare agreeing took Joe out of the moment as well, feeling the cold hands move off of him. But he could also feel how he didnt want to. From the way his fingertips ran down his back. The apology made him shake his head. There was no need to apologize. Right? The addition made him frown. “Dont say that.” He said, because if Cesare was a monster and he was holding him like this? Then what would that make Joe. Well, maybe he deserved to feel like a monster too. He moved off him and watched him get up. “Dont go.” He said, reaching out to grab his hand. He didnt want to be alone right in this moment. Could you really blame him? “Come back to bed.” He muttered in a soft plea. |

| How could he not say it? Was it not what he had been told by the human before? He sighed softly, and as he turned to leave the sweet young man pleaded for him to stay. To come back to bed even. His heart was aching, trying to shut it down already. He turned around, looking at those pleading eyes he sighed. "Alright .. but let me at least order you some food," he said. If Benjamin agreed he would go order some on the phone before returning to the bed. He pulled the human in close, holding him in his arms, but remaining quiet. His hands did roam his back, though only over his clothes and in more soothing movements. "Get your rest .. I'll wake you when theres food." |

| He could allow to let Cesare order him food, but he wasnt sure he wanted to be completely away from the vampyre. It was so different from the attitude he had had in the hotel room. The strong contrasts of wanting to be as far away as possible to now need to be as close as possible. Of course it was mostly from the shock he was still going through or was that just what he would tell himself? He closed his eyes as soon as he was back in the vampyre’s arms, drifting off to sleep.
They had eventually parted, though neither of them seemed to have anything to say to the other. Joe returned to Churchill, getting back into his daily rhytmn and slowly getting over what had happened. Sure it still made him sad when he really thought about it but it was managable. He found great relief in picking fights at bars and getting some steam out that way. He sat on a barstool, his knuckles bruised and bleeding, a bruised lip and discoloured cheekbone, but you know what? He felt alive. And for once he felt like life was going back to the way it was supposed to. He moved outside, lighting a smoke, before he grabbed his phone. He couldnt really believe he had done it but somehow he felt daring.
[Texts between Joe and Cesare] [Joe:] I dont know if I stole the right number from your phone in the motel. If not then just forget this message. |

| Leaving the motel felt bittersweet. It didn't really feel like a goodbye, but the vampyre also knew that he had a promise to upkeep. The things that had happened in the motel he had to bury deep within himself, not even thinking about it. Life went on. Cesare returned to his sires and small clan, holding parties as he had before, but he never seemed to truly enjoy nor part take in the festivities. He was sitting on the roof, the party bustling downstairs and it was easy for him to hear. He was sipping on a glass of blood. He didn't much care for it, at least he was feeding himself. His sires all though it had something to do with his lost lover. Nobody suspected a special human to have done this to him. Well except for Sadie, but she had enough to repay him right now. She wouldn't meddle in his private business. A vibrating sound was heard from his pocket, sighing he took a rather pathetic sip of his blood before fishing it out of his pocket. The message was an unknown number. Though within the massage was a clear clue to whom the sender might be. He sat up, frowning at the message. He wanted to reply, but not what. Well, he did as his thumb typed a quick and easy reply. One that was perhaps void of personality.
[Cesare:] You have the right number. |

| He was expecting some kind of answer but also couldnt deny that he probably didnt deserve one. He smoked his cigarette, feeling the nicotine do it’s work and calm his nerves. The reply ticked in and he read it, frowning a little as it was rather… simple. He stuck his cigarette in his mouth to type with both hands. He wasnt exactly quick on the buttons.
[Joe:] Are you still avoiding me or can I get you a drink? [Joe:] Not tonight. I’m not exactly presentable as of right now. |

| Cesare wasn't sure what to truly say. He was frankly unsure how to deal with this whole ordeal. He wanted to do something. Mostly he wanted to close his eyes and imagine them both in the motel room before it had turned bad. Well not bad, but he felt used in that sense. He had wanted to give him that comfort. But afterwards he wasn't sure he had been in the right mindset. He should've not done it. He should've just held him, that would've made it easier. Was the human even thinking of him with anything but disgust? Had he abused the power he had had in that moment? New messages ticked in, making him empty his glass, getting up and just standing on the edge reading the messages. He hummed to himself. The human wanted to see him? He wanted to actually face him after all of this?
[Cesare:] I'm free tomorrow night. Send me a time and an address and I'll be there.

| He finished his cigarette by the time he got a reply. He looked at the message, scoffing softly, though it was doable. He wasnt sure his cheek or lip would’ve healed by then, but it was also just a part of who he was, wasnt it? He was the kind of guy that always got in fights and had something to heal. The other guy looked just as bad and he at least had some comfort in knowing that.
[Joe:] I will. [Joe:] see you then.
He put his phone away and headed back home after that. He tried to tend the wounds he had gotten but he really wasnt an expert. He went to the top of the roof at his apartment building with a bottle of water to sober up. He looked out on the city, drawing in a deep breath, lighting another cigarette. He pulled out his phone.
[Joe:] Are you busy tonight? |

| Cesare wasn't sure what to think of this exchange. He also wasn't sure what was truly right in this situation. He returned to the party, getting another glass before he headed out into the night. Maybe he just needed some fresh air? To clear his mind somewhat. Then as he was passing by one of the canals he felt his phone vibrate once again. He frowned, pulling it out to see the human's reply. He sighed. Instead of really answering him, he sent him an adress to the hotel he was staying at. If he looked it up it would be rather fancy, but not the same that he had kept the human in. He returned to the hotel, heading up to the penthouse he was stayind at, opening the windows to air it out a bit. He moved out to sit on the small terrace that overlooked the city. Was the human going to show, or was he just playing him? |

| He sipped off his waterbottle, looking over the busy city while he waited. He had expected an answer but just being sent an address felt rather forward. He did look it up. What was with this guy and being in fancy hotels? He finished the waterbottle and went to change his clothes from the semi dirty clothes he had worn before. He had kind of been dragged through the mud with the dude he had fought. He ruffled up his hair rather than wearing his cap, to then finish up and head for the hotel. He arrived eventually but decided to stay outside rather than go in. He texted him to alert him.
[Joe:] I’m here. Come outside. |

| Cesare wasn't sure if he would even show up. He knew that the last time they had been in a hotel the human had been very much against it. The test to come out made him frown. He looked down to the street, seeing that man he wasn't sure he even knew at this point. He picked his phone up, lifting it to his ear after dialing his number. If the human picked up he would speak calmly. "Come up .. I'm the only one here .. it's not a trap," he was speaking very briefly. The human had asked if he was available, but he would only meet with him up here. Inside the human could simply state his name, the sweet desk lady humming and reaching for a key that she handed to the human, "top floor with the elevator on your left hand side," she instructed him, even gesturing politely with her hand. The hotel was nice, and it was clearly a place for the quote on quote elite. Cesare stayed out on the terrace, just looking up at the stars. He was happy with the vision he had, being able to spot the stars through the obstructed lights from the city. |

| He felt his phone vibrate, picking it up to hear the vampyre’s voice. He however wouldnt be surprised if the vampyre was trying to trick him. Would he ever get that feeling of underlying mistrust to go away? Probably not. Under the circumstances they had met, would Joe probably have a hard time trusting him fully. And yet he went in anyway, stated his name and was told where to go. He entered the room and looked around, though it was fancy it wasnt really something that spoke to Joe. As a man who worked hard, he more appreciated the affordable things. But he wasnt sure he would feel that way if he had had to deal with those things for his lifetime twenty times over. He saw him on the terrace and joined him. “I’m surprised there’s not some half naked man lying around somewhere with bitemarks.” |

| Cesare heard him enter before he ever spoke. He hummed at the remark, getting up from his seat. He turned around, walking to him he inspected the cut on his cheek and then the bruised knuckles. "You're talking looking like that?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at the human before shaking his head no. It wasn't his to worry about. And yet he clearly did. He sighed, signalling him to sit down before he went to grab a small first aid kit. He felt it was so stupid what they were doing, but he also didn't have the strength to deny him anything. Returning he inspected the cut once more, finding a few cleaning wipes that he used carefully on his cuts and broken knuckles. "The other guy better look worse," he muttered, just cleaning it up before he grabbed a few patches, sizing them up to the cuts. A few on his hands were more severe so he covered them and then the one on his face. Afterwards he packed the kit away, "can I get you anything to drink?" He got up, clearly wanting to put the kit back in its place and he might as well offer him something. He wasn't even sure what the human wanted from.him. |

| “It was a good fight.” He argued with a shrug. It wasnt like a few cuts and bruises could really kill him. It would be gone in a few days, only a teeny tiny scar if he took good care of it. The bruise would fade and be completely gone. He sat down as the vampyre instructed him, looking out on the view here. It was quite high and overlooking everything. And he wouldnt say that Churchill was a small city. The vampyre returned and Cesare’s mutter made Joe chuckle softly. He was still a little tipsy so he was rather relaxed for once. “A black eye. And maybe a chipped jaw.” He said, though there had been a bit of blood so he couldnt really tell. He inhaled sharply as it was cleaned, though the stinging was good right? “It’s fine. I had water before I got here.” He replied, not really wanting to intrude too much. While the vampyre went back with the kit, was Joe just sitting there. He did look around for a bit on the terrace. So fancy. Everything looked as if someone had put it there for a specific purpose. Even looking down at the floor by his feet, the tiles were placed in a beautiful design. |

| Cesare ended coming back, having a bottle of water with him as well. He could tell he wasn't sober yet, but perhaps it was because he could smell it in his blood. At least with his years of knowledge it was easy to sense. He sat down a little away from him, keeping a polite distance. He wasn't sure how to do this. In reality, he hadn't tried anything like this before. "Have you been well?" He just broke the ice, hoping he wouldn't fall through. The terrace was quite nicely put together, the wood a dark color that matched beautifully with the golden accents from the railing. He looked out at the city. Quiet because he wasn't truly sure if the human had come here to yell at him or something. Or perhaps he came here to seek comfort once more, and Cesare knew he wasn't strong enough to say no to him. "You look like you've eaten at least," he commented. He wasn't sure if that was just because he wasn't quite sure how to tell or if it was just a gut feeling he had. |

| He hadnt expected that Cesare would have gotten him anything but being given a bottle of water, he just thanked him politely. He rolled the bottle between his palms slowly, feeling how the soft plastic moved with a bit of pressure. The question made him hum as he nodded, looking at the bottle. “Yeah. It’s been alright.” He said, though he wasnt lying it wasnt like he was thriving completely. Things were just normal. The comment had him scoff softly. “I started working out again to stay healthy, so yeah, I’ve been eating.” He said, to then frown. Why were they talking about eating habits? “Why did you not come outside?” He asked, lifting his eyes from the bottle to look at the vampyre. |

| He hummed, nodding as he could see that now he mentioned it. That was fascinating about humans. They could so easily change. The question made him sigh as he turned to look at him briefly. His eyes showed some hurt behind them but he returned to look out at the view once more. "I didn't feel like being yelled at infront of the hotel," he just said with a slight shrug, "bad for business." He folded his hands trying not to fiddle with them. "Why did you want to see me?" He felt that was a fair question. He had wondered if he had simply wanted to see him because of what had happened in the motel. Or were they to pretend like it hadn't happened? He wasn't sure, they hadn't really agreed on anything. "I mean .. I just need to prepare myself a little if it's because you're here to cuss me out or whatever it is you want to do to get me out of your system." |

| Yelled at in front of the hotel? “Why would I yell at you?” He asked, scratching the side of his head as it didnt make sense to him. Had he been aggressive or given any hints to want to fight? He had already fought one guy today. And he didnt quite stand a chance with a vampyre. The question made him shrug in the same manner that Cesare had. “I’m trying to understand myself more.” He just said. Was that answer good enough even though it was cryptic? “You keep speaking as if I’m here to make you feel bad.” He said before he got up and went to the vampyre. The alcohol was making him far more daring, and less drawn back as he would most definitely prefer to be in his sober state.
