The way he was pleading for her she couldn't really ignore. She agreed, taking his pinky finger with her own. Starting the car back up again she drove off and they soon reached Churchill. The city was alive as always, people getting on with their lives. "And you're sure here is fine?" she asked, looking around but not really seeing anything that would pose a threat to her brother. It was broad daylight after all. "Just .. take care of yourself," she said but as he was about to open the door she reached over, taking his hand. Hesitating for a while, she found her words at last. "Would it-" taking a deep breath she restarted her question, "would it be alright if I came to visit you once in a while?" She knew he wasn't a fan of vampyres, but she really missed her brother, and she didn't really have anyone else to turn to with the things in her life that she felt she needed an outside view on.

She agreed and he felt as if he could somewhat relax again. Not that he wasnt worried for Cesare and wouldnt obsess over his condition until Sadie would eventually update him. He wouldnt think of anything else. They arrived at Churchill and he looked around at her question. “Yeah.” He replied in a timid voice. “You too Sadie.” He said in a saddened tone. Now that he was coming a bit to terms with being around vampyres, he had to admit that he missed her like never before. She stopped him from going and he looked at her. She stopped her question quick but seemed to collect herself and ask again. A small smile slowly spread on his lips and he just leaned over to hug her. “Yeah. Come by whenever you want.” He told her. He hugged her close for a moment before he kissed her hair and leaned back away. “Thank you for the ride.” He said before he got out. It probably wasnt that good for her to be in the sun even if the windows blocked most of the rays.

He walked home after that, pretty much just going straight to bed. When he woke up, it was with a shock, sitting up as he felt confused. He scoffed at himself, muttering about a nightmare before he went out to make himself a cup of coffee. He checked his phone every once in a while, but eventually he had to admit that he checked it more than he did anything else.

Her brother was just full of surprises today, wasn't he? She wasn't sure how much of this she could truly trust, but for now she took it all in. Having missed her brother very much, she just found some peace in the fact that he was actually embracing her. If anything good could come from this, then it would be the siblings getting close as they had once been. Bidding him goodbye, she drove back from whence they came.
Over the coming weeks she kept Benjamin in the loop. Cesare had good days where it seemed like the wound was finally healing, and then he had bad days where they could barely get any blood into him. She even came by from time to time, telling more in detail what was going on. She wrote as often as she could, but this day she hadn't written when she usually had. It took a couple of hours before he got a message, asking if he was home. This usually meant that she was in the area and wanted to come by, but she had phrased it differently than she normally would've.

The updates were nice and kept him relatively in the loop to know how the vampyre was doing. When she began coming by, the first thought he had was that they just wouldnt work out. But as soon as they properly sat down, it was like they reverted right back to the bond they had had as kids. It was quite refreshing in all that had happened. Though when her cryptic message came through, he frowned a little but let her know that he was home. He had also been texting Joanna, back and forth rather casually. Over all did he start to feel like he was having a normal rhytmn again and though he had called in sick while he had been healing, he was consindering going back to take a couple of nights to get back into it, just before he got too comfortable with all the free time he had. Though for now did he prepare a kettle of water, even having a few vials cooled in the fridge for his sister. It was still odd but he was tolerating it somewhat now.

She came by, but it was clear from her looks that things had been heading in the wrong direction. Sitting down, she opted for a cup of tea, mostly to feel normal around her brother, and he was still a bit squeamish about the whole blood thing. Not that she blamed him. Taking a deep breath she explained the last couple of days and how things had been up and down. And that today when they had went to check on him he had fallen into a slumber. "He had been fighting the slumber for a while .. I don't know why, but something was seemingly keeping him from just giving in," she admitted. She was gracious enough to explain slumber to him as well if he wasn't familiar with it; how it was basically either a death sentence or perhaps more of a limbo state.
"I don't know if he'll wake up during your lifetime .. if ever," she admitted, looking down as her shoulders started to tremble. "I know you don't have a lot of empathy for vampyres; I know how we were raised; but Cesare means a lot to me and the other sires," he was sorta the ribbon that tied them all together. And after everything, she was afraid of losing the only family she had left. "I know this is a long shot, but I heard what he said that day .. could you come, I don't know, maybe talk to him? See if he reacts to your voice or anything?" It was a long shot. Slumber wasn't really what it meant. It wasn't really sleep and yet it sorta was.

When Sadie arrived, they both had tea. Joe didnt often drink tea but oh the times he had pretended to like it just to make Sadie smile during a tea party. He maybe reverted back into a lot of things he used to do just to make his sister smile. But quite clearly was something wrong when she arrived. He listened to her explanation but the mention of a slumber made him frown a little confused. What did that even mean? He just listened and she explained it quite well after.
Only that it made his chest tighten once he realized. It was the worst that could have happened, wasnt it? She spoke of Joe’s dislike of the vampyres and he ran a hand through his hair. He wished he could agree with her but it had gotten complicated. It wasnt just black and white and the grey was mixed with all kinds of nuances. Her suggestion made him frown, looking down into his cup before he drew in a deep breath. “Yeah. Sure. Take me to him.” He said, getting up from his seat as he looked at her. Even if the other sires disliked him and what he meant to their creator, he wouldnt let it stop him now.

Sadie knew it was a big ask, but she also wouldn't have turned to this unless she thought there was another option. As he got up she did as well, heading down to the street getting into her car before they drove off. She was rather in her own mind before she finally spoke, "he might not really look like himself .. but it is him," she said. She headed out into the country side, feeling rather tense as it took a little while to get there. While driving she told of all of the things they had tried to do. All of the sires had tried offering their blood to him and they had tried so many different donors, both live ones and bagged ones.
"I thought he was just about to get better yesterday," she said in a softer voice, "he was talking and smiling, telling stories as he always did and then today he's.." She wasn't sure how to finish that sentence. Sighing softly she shook her head, focusing on driving and not crashing into something. It took a little while longer before they finally arrived, and Martin went straight up to confront Sadie. "What is he doing here?" He hissed, but the sister wasn't going to be pushed around, ignoring him as she just nodded for Benjamin to follow. The sires looked dismayed, and frankly offended that the human had come back now. They had done all the hard work keeping him alive this far. And what had the human done? Left their leader as soon as he could.
Sadie moved up the stairs and into a bigger room that he had been moved to. His eyes were closed and a rather peaceful expression on his faced. He looked like what a mortal looked like ehen dead. His face was a little sunken in, his fingers skinnier and his hair seemed almost dull. "Do you .. want to be alone?" She asked carefully.

They got out and into the car and as there was a silence between them, Joe’s nerves began to grow. What would he be seeing when they got there? She seemed to be ahead, warning him that the vampyre wouldnt be looking the same. Joe didnt know what she meant by that but he would soon. He had forgotten how long the drive had been. But frankly, he had been crying for the most part the last time so good portions of that ride was stuffed into a box of forgetting. She explained more of the elder vampyre’s condition and Joe just quietly listened. When they arrived, did Joe have to wake up from falling asleep in the car. Seeing Martin greet them with anger, it wasnt really anything new at this point. Joe could understand the dismay he saw in everyone’s eyes. But it wasnt like they had wanted him to stay here either when he had been hurt. How could he win when neither things he could do was good enough?
Joe just decided to ignore the looks and follow his sister as they went up into the room. His eyes widened a little at the sight of the elder vampyre before he felt sick to his stomach. “Oh gods.” He muttered, lifting a hand to his mouth. He hadnt expected him to look so… dead. Even if he looked rather peaceful. He nodded at Sadie’s question before he swallowed hard and replied vocally. “Yes. I’ll call you.” He assured her. Though he doubted that he would have any meaningful impact.
When Sadie had gone, did he carefully move closer to the bed. He sat down on the bed and grabbed the vampyre’s hand that had held his the last time they saw each other. He was cold but Joe had figured he wouldnt be boiling warm in his current state. He softly ran a finger on his free hand over the back of the vampyre’s hand. “Everyone else but Sadie and you dislikes that I’m here. Which probably makes sense….” He spoke rather carefully, pausing to see if the vampyre even reacted. If he did, it was probably so subtle that human Joe missed it. “… I have realized that I am a bit of an ass.” He scoffed, holding the vampyre’s hand gently, looking down at their hands. “It was harder for me to adjust to all this… because I never knew if it was just a game you were playing to pass time. I guess I was just waiting for you to burst out laughing and mock me for giving in.” He said, before he sighed. “But now I dont know Cesare. You’ve never given me a reason to doubt you. But my body does it… all automatically.” He said, scoffing as he probably sounded rather dumb. He looked at him, then at their hands. He didnt know if he could just confess anything, because what if he was reaching him? He had to be careful with his, but he wouldnt lie either. “Sadie said that they had given you all kind of blood. But I guess not all.” He said, looking at his own arm before he chuckled. “I’m insane. But I cant lose you.” He then said, feeling the tears press on. He let go of the vampyre’s hand, rolling up his sleeve. First he tried to lift his arm to the vampyre’s mouth, just to see if that was how it worked. He frankly had no idea. Then he looked around, thinking that maybe he had to make the blood more accessible. He found a needle for the blood bags that he used, gritting his teeth in pain as he grunted softly. “Fuck…” he muttered, even if it was just a small cut, as good as you could make it with a sharp needle. He pressed on it to get some blood out. “Please work.” He pleaded, lifting the bloodied wrist to the vanpyre’s lips. His vampyre.

Even as Benjamin spoke to him, it was like he could hear him but not really. He felt sorta stuck in a dream and his body was unable to react. Even if the human had said nothing, the vampyre would still deep down be able to tell that he was there. Maybe it was because he was obsessive or perhaps it was because he had spoken the truth to Martin that day. And worst of all that truth had pushed the human away from him. The vampyre had realized for good that he wouldn't ever be there again, and he had maybe held on a little longer just in the hopes of being proved wrong. And as the days had turned to weeks, his body couldn't fight the slumber anymore.
As the human lifted his arm there was no reaction, and even as the blood hit his lips it was like he was just a statue dripped on, though some drops fell into his mouth.

PostSubject: Re: The everyday monsters in our lives   The everyday monsters in our lives - Page 16 EmptyMon Aug 15, 2022 9:52 am

A slight sigh was heard from across the room. The mysterious gentleman sitting in a chair, draped in shadows as his slivery grey eyes glowed slightly. He was observing the two, not saying much before the human turned hia head. "Is this truly Benjamin Joe Harris offering up his blood to a vampyre?" He asked, tilting his head lightly. He wasn't afraid of letting himself be known, and if the human tried to call for help he would find that not a single vampyre heard them. The man got up from his chair, walking over to the sick vampyre, moving some hair out of his face. "I did try to warn him," he said, his hand reaching down, raking off the necklace with the pendant that had now turned grey. He inspected it, before putting it in his inner pocket.
Then his silvery eyes turned to the human, almost as if he was looking straight into his soul. "You still have doubts of him," he said, clearly curious before he frowned, "you have doubts about yourself." It was perhaps a minor correction, but his curious eyes didn't move from Joe right now. He was older than time itself it seemed, and yet his face was young and chiseled like a Grecian statue. His silvery eyes returned to look at the vampyre, "your world is too hung up on differences when in reality you all live, dream, and die much in the same ways." He spoke like he truly knew it, but of course the human could ask his questions if he so wished.

There was no reaction from the vampyre and that stung. He removed his wrist and sighed deeply just as he got a feeling that he was being watched. He frowned and turned to look at the man he had met at the bar. The words he spoke made the human clench his jaw in anger. Was he just here to mock him? He didnt call for help but remained by Cesare’s side. He saw the man remove the necklace, not quite understanding what had even happened. Had the vampyre used it for selfish gains?
The man looked at him and he just looked back, furrowing his brows at the words that were spoken. “It’s not that simple.” He hissed, switching between the silvery eyes that seemed so odd to him. He really didnt like how thie man was speaking to him, one bit. “You dont think I know that deep down? That I’m trying to change?” He asked, gritting his teeth as he started to feel so warm with anger. “What the hell do you know about it anyway? You talk about my life like you know all of it.” He felt tears press on, reaching out to grab Cesare’s hand, holding it so gentle even if he was fuming with anger. How could this stranger speak of it like it meant so little? Would he say that he could have been different if he had been the young one who had been beaten into submission day in and day out. Joe had seem the worst and ugly sides of vampyres, every day, because his father had made him. And while he saw that lack of humanity had his father been there to whisper poison in his ears. “.. Just make him come back. I’ll do anything.” He said, before his dark thoughts could take over.

PostSubject: Re: The everyday monsters in our lives   The everyday monsters in our lives - Page 16 EmptyMon Aug 15, 2022 11:41 am

Oh but it was that simple, the human just couldn't recognize it because he was so involved in this. He supposed that would always be a burden for the living. He wasn't blind to the anger that seemed to spring forth from the human, and yet his face remained neutral though he did notice how the human reached for the vampyre. Had the man had any sort of real involvement in this he would've reacted, but the vampyre had done this to himself. He had refused to give up his powers, knowing full well the temptations of the necklace's powers. "But I do know you," he said calmly, looking to Cesare briefly, "I know all of you as you all come visit my realm one point or another," he said before his eyes moved back to the human.
The young man started to bargain, and the man frowned. "Be careful what you promise," he said in a warning tone. Anything could mean a lot of things for someone with the right twisted mind. He walked over and closer to the human, kneeling down beside the bed he looked up at his face. "I'll give you a chance, but you must wake him up yourself .. I cannot do that," he said in a serious tone. Digging into his pocket he took out some fine sand, blowing it into the human's face who would soon enough fall asleep and be dreaming.

The man spoke rather cryptic but it seemed to be a common theme with these older men. What realm was he speaking of? Joe didnt really dare to ask because he might not understand the answer anyway. The warning didnt deter Joe. “He is worth it.” He muttered, not caring for whatthe price would be. Even if it was one life for another. Joe would die anyway at some point. Cesare could live forever. The man came closer and kneeled down, the human looking at him a little puzzled. The sand made him shake his head as he tried to avoid it, but he soon enough fell back and was gone to sleep. Or was he? He couldnt really tell what feeling he had in his body. He had no control over his body and for a moment it felt like he was waiting for something but unsure even what.

And then everything changed. He was back home with his parents, sitting by the dinner table, it was morning. The sun was peaking through the windows but it looked fake. He couldnt quite describe it. His mother came by with a plate of food that she placed. His father was cleaning his gun. “We’ll go look for Sadie today.” He told Joe. Then the human remembered. This was kind of a memory. Not exactly, but it was. He wasnt little kid Benjamin who sat, sad that Sadie was gone. “You should go play with your friend.” His mother said, touching the back of his neck gently. Joe got up as if he was a puppett, leaving the table and going outside. He remembered this. He had found his friend deep in the forest. He went to look for him. But he wasnt in the spot he had been when it had actually happened. Frankly the more he looked, the less familiar everything seemed to look.

PostSubject: Re: The everyday monsters in our lives   The everyday monsters in our lives - Page 16 EmptyMon Aug 15, 2022 12:17 pm

The man knew what he was doing, and as the human fell into a slumber, the man disappeared from this world, returning to his realm. There he watched over the human, always staying out of view, though he doubted that Joe would even see him if he managed to look in his direction.
A crow sounded off, diving down and hitting the human with its wings, cawing at him as its beady little eyes searched his. The eyes were a familiar sea foam green and the bird soon took off into the forest that seemed to blur and warp around it, and so too would it feel for the human. Soon enough, the human couldn't be sure whether he was running, flying, or falling and the bird flew ahead. A voice was heard in the human's head, surrounding him almost but he wouldn't be able to pinpoint where the sound came from. "Remember what you're looking for," it guided him. It wouldn't sound like the man who had put him to sleep. It sounded more familiar than that.
From the shadows stepped a sweet young woman, his sister Sadie as she had been as a human. She was picking up daisies, just playing in the fields of grass that had surrounded their small village. Her eyes looked to Joe, a smile on her face as she giggled, running off into the tall grass. If he followed she would stop up once in a while, only for her to take his hand and pull him with him. The sun was shining above them, and she was giggling and smiling before they reached a swampy looking area. She stopped as a gunshot was heard, the sun going down and her features changed. Her skin became paler and her teeth grew fangs. She was shaking and scared, letting go of Joe to go hide as shadows followed her, calling her a monster and how she would pay for her sins.
If Joe tried to follow to help her the voice would speak, "she is not yours to save," it told him wisely before a new woman entered the picture. A sweet longhaired one that he had met at the bar. Her cheeks were flustered and red with heat as she walked to Joe, wrapping her arms around him. "Come back to bed .. the kids are asleep," she whispered to him, nuzzling her nose into his chest, kissing his skin gently, "I have to be up early tomorrow for work." But it was clear she wasn't looking for sleep in him. She giggled softly, "come now; we could practice making another small miracle together?" Her voice enticing and inviting.

It was all very odd but he wasnt completely losing it as he sort of knew he was dreaming? Or was he? He felt as if but then again, you werent always aware of dreaming in dreams. He just felt a sort of calm towards things that would have freaked him out in the real world. When he saw Sadie, he smiled, watching her as she went about. When she began running, he frowned lightly and followed, but everything seemed to change. He watched her run off, the reminder stopping him from bolting right in her direction.
The woman approaching him made him frown a little surprised. Joanna? He felt her arms around him, listening to her whisper. Was he being tormented right now? This wasnt what he was looking for. And yet was it a reminder of what he wouldnt get if he chose to continue? “No. I’m sorry.” He said, looking at her with pained eyes. “I’m looking for someone else.” He told her before he looked around. “Where is he?” He muttered in a soft plea. He pulled free from her grip, almost stumbling over his own feet. “Cesare!” He called, clenching his jaw. No, he wouldnt stop until he found him. “Cesare!!!”

As he ran he passed a lot of memories, some good, some bad but all of them had the same eerie feeling about them that he had felt so far. But then, right in the middle of a meadow the vampyre was laying in the sunlight, looking up at the sky as he heard his name being called. He sat up in an instant, seeing who it was he got to his feet, catching Benjamin in his arms, wrapping them around him and pulling him close. Burying his face in his hair he chuckled happily, "little mouse," he muttered affectionately, but his body didn't feel cold. In fact he was about the same temperature as Benjamin was. Pulling away, he smiled, looking down at him, moving a hand up to cup his face, "there you are," he said, his cheeks flushed red as he chuckled. He was human. His heart beating with delight as he looked to him. "I've been waiting for you," he whispered, leaning down to connect their lips, pulling him closer if that was even possible.

He pretty much tunnelvisioned the way as soon as he began running. Sure, some memories woke good feelings, others reminded him of the bad shit he had gone through. But none of it wouæd distract him from finding the vampyre, if that was even possible. And then there he was, in a meadow of some sort. Joe wrapped his arms around him, burying his face in his chest as he panted, but the exhaustion dissipated as if he had been standing still this whole time. He looked up as Cesare pulled away, feeling the warm hand touch him, it didnt feel normal but then again, nothing really felt normal in this place. He just looked at him, his eyes welling up a little as he could barely find his words. The whisper made him grasp around his clothes where he was hugging him, greeting his lips gladly. He closed his eyes and wanted to relish in the feeling until he pulled away. “No.” He muttered, breaking free as he shook his head. “I saw you on the bed. You’re in a slumber.” He reminded himself. And yet he placed a hand on the vampyre’s chest, feeling the heartbeat that was vibrating against his palm. “This is not how you’re supposed to be.” He muttered. It was all wrong. Even if it was what his mind seemed to have wanted all this time.

Cesare leaned into the kiss, sighing into his mouth, letting the hot air mix between them. Then he pulled away, and he frowned confused. He was in a slumber? How could that be, he felt right awake. Even Benjamin was here, and everyone knew that vampyres didn't truly sleep, right? This wasn't how he was supposed to be? Then what was he supposed to be. "I'm human now .. and you still don't want me?" he asked confused as he tried to reach for him, hoping to take his hand and guide it back to his chest. "This is what I want .. I want us to live together, have you teach me about the human ways," he pleaded, his eyes sad. Was there really nothing he could offer him now? "I want you to be able to love me .. that's why I'm human now .. all I want is for you to love me, please."
The scenery around them were slowly crumbling, the nice meadow drying out and the flowers turning to dust as this dream was turning into a nightmare. Cesare fell to his knees. "Tell me what I can do .. tell me what it would take for you to love me." He spoke as if he was pleading for his life, his shoulders trembling and tears rolling down his cheeks.

It just felt off. It didnt feel the same as it had before. And Joe didnt like it, not one bit. The confused question was well warranted, but it wasnt about that. He let him take his hand, but it just didnt feel as it was supposed to. Joe had gotten used to the vampyre as he was, even if it wasnt ideal. It was what felt normal. This now? The warm skin? He felt like someone else. Joe didnt want him to become a human for his sake. That was what his family would have wanted, what his whole damned hometown would have cheered and praised the vampyre for doing.
Joe felt a tear run down his cheek, watching as Cesare fell to his knees. The pleading made him shake his head. He looked down to see the cut on his wrist that he had made to try and feed the vampyre. Only this time was the cut way deeper and the blood just seemed to flow like it was being pushed out by force. “Just… open your mouth. Bite and drink.” He said in a saddened tone, having lifted the bleeding wrist to the human Cesare’s lips. “Please.” He begged, looking at him with pleading eyes.

Cesare was upset and rightfully so. In this realm he had given up his immortality for this. He had given up everything that had made him well him to even begin with and now the human still didn't want him? But then the human started to bleed, and the smell of the blood seemed to make the former vampyre react. His fangs growing before sinking his teeth into the warm flesh as his own turned cold.
Benjamin would soon be awakened by a sharp pain in his wrist, finding himself back in the real world with the man nowhere in sight. The necklace gone, but the vampyre was drinking from his wrist. Slowly it seemed that Cesare came more to life, his skin puffing out a bit from having being sunken in. He didn't drink too much, but he slowly opened his eyes, realizing what he was doing he let go. He was confused, blood still on his lips as he looked around confused. "What's going on?" he asked before he looked to the human's wrist, tasting the blood on his tongue he seemed horrified, "what did I do?"

He grit his teeth at the bite but it didnt hurt at first. The vampyre drank and he watched him until a sharp pain woke him up. He turned his head to watch how Cesare was drinking from his wrist now. The smell of blood made his stomach churn a little. He would never get used to it. But as the vampyre seemed to wake up, Joe exhaled in relief, letting himself relax as he let his face rest, hidden away in the mattress. The question made him chuckle as he shook his head, pushing himself back up as he looked at him. “You came back to me.” He just said, leaning in to wrap his arms around the vampyre, holding him close, burying his face in the nape of his neck.

He felt the arms surround him, blinking a few times as he wasn't sure he was even awake or alive for that matter. Everything felt so strange. The human hid his face away after speaking of the vampyre returning to him. Returning? Where had he been? "I wasn't the one to leave," he teased lightly, wrapping an arm around him, but seemingly a bit hesitating. He was still hurt, but with this blood in his system it would perhaps start to head in the right direction. He felt his eyes well up as he just held him. Strange how it worked like that for him, but he hadn't forgotten what he had said. "I'm sorry .. I shouldn't have put you on the spot like that," he knew his confession had been fast and rash, and that it wasn't even said to him alone. It had been said in the presence of his sire and perhaps even as an excuse to some degree.
He just held him for a little while. Taking in his smell, feeling his warmth heat up his skin. "I know what I said, but please don't leave me again," he whispered into his hair. He was hurting too much to really hold back on his emotions, his hand grasping at the human's shirt, almost desperate.

He held him a little tight but surely he couldnt hurt a vampyre as a human. The tease made him scoff silently, though he couldnt really find it in him to even tell the vampyre to shut it. He was just so relieved to have him back. Not just for himself but for Sadie too. The whole family that the elder vampyre had created for himself. The apology made him shake his head, though he wasnt opting to move away. Even if the confession had caught him off guard completely in a way he had never expected, it was something they couldnt change.
The whisper made him tighten his grip a little, clutching onto him like he had in the dream. This was how it was supposed to feel. He eventually did loosen his grip on the vampyre, leaning away to look at him. His own face was all puffy and red from crying, but he looked at him and smiled softly.

The human had always been a bit weary of feeling their skin touch. Perhaps because the difference could be so startling. But right now he wasn't shying away. He felt how warm he was, how his face touching his skin didn't make him shiver or even seem repulsed. He just felt good like this and as the human pulled away, he saw the soft smile. Cesare knew he shouldn't have, but he lifted his hand, cupping the human's face and wiping away a few tears. "You look cute," he just said, the face a little puffy was just a testament to the human being a human. Cesare had seen him bound as that horrid family had tried to drain him. Part of him had feared that perhaps they had wanted to change him in the end, but it hadn't been so. He was just relieved.
"Come here," he whispered, pulling his face down to his lips, kissing the tears away, his cold lips soothing the welled up face as he just took his time. Pulling away he searched the human's eyes before leaning in for a careful yet tender kiss. He was a weak man, wasn't he? Well he supposed it just came from the fact that he loved Benjamin so much. In fact he felt eager to get out of this bed, hear about all of the things he had missed out on.

The compliment made Joe roll his eyes a little. He wouldnt ever call himself cute but if the vampyre thought so, then he was free to believe it. He leaned into the cold touch, feeling how it was soothing his warm cheeks. The whisper made shivers run down his spine and the kisses on his skin felt good. When the vampyre pulled away, their eyes werent locked for long before their lips met again. He kissed him back, moving his hands to grasp his shirt around his sides. “Would you really change for me? Just like that?” He asked when the kiss had to break for him to breathe again. He didnt really like the prospect of it, so if the vampyre confirmed it, then he would shake his head. “I dont want you to change for me. I want you as you are.” He admitted. One of the sires downstairs had gotten too impatient with waiting. And no way did they believe that the human was doing their creator any good. So without a second thought did the sire go to the room, barging in to see how Cesare was sitting up, concious and aware. Joe of course let go of the vampyre in surprise, looking down, hiding his head away in the vampyre’s chest.
