They had it coming

Romeo sighed softly, massaging his thighs gently, "I just don't think we have the time," he admitted. They were both greedy in that regard, that once they had a taste they wanted more. Of course they would have to be aware of the fact that Amelia would be there, and maybe that would be a bit of a mood killer, but then again they had gotten really good at being quiet, and she did like a bit of time for herself. However things would change when they got a nanny for Amelia and she started attending a school. Fuck, just thinking about it made his stomach flutter with excitement. However they needed to get up. Anytime now Amelia would wake up, and finding her parents in such vulnerable states might not be the best of ideas. Romeo got up, heading out to take a shower as he always did in the morning. Afterwards he got dressed, considering the toy for a little bit, but opted to wait. He didn't want to rush into things, and they needed to feed their kid first. Kissing Eden in a slow and loving manner he sighed against his lips, "I almost can't wait to have you inside of me," truly words of longing, but now they needed to split the tasks. He asked the vampyre to go prepare food while he got Amelia up and ready for the day.

Having a kid could prove troublesome, but Romeo was clearly ready to be a parent. Or at least that was what he was now! He had had a lot of anxiety about the responsibilities and the fact that he wanted to provide Amelia with the best support. The last thing he wanted was for her to feel neglected in any way. Maybe that was why him and Eden had to agree on a really good school for her - private of course as that could provide the best safe environment for her. Waking her up was sometimes not the easiest. She surely wasn't a morning person, but she would be with age he was sure of that. Once she was dressed and presentable, along with Babbit of course, she went ahead to the kitchen.
Greeting Eden with a big smile and a sweet "good morning pappa," she headed on over to her spot by the table. Romeo chuckled softly, joining his husband by the stove, wrapping his arms around him from behind. He could get used to mornings like these, smiling as he pressed his forehead against his back. It just wasn't something he could help, he just needed that intimacy and touching the vampyre. Sometimes he wondered if lycan's could be in heat just like an animal, however if that was the case then Romeo surely was in heat every second he was with his husband. And deep down he hoped that that passion would never wither.
They ate breakfast, and while Romeo did alright, he was also struggling a little. That was the good part about Eden knowing the small clues as he could distract Amelia for a while. The little lycan really had gotten some energy into her after eating, and soon enough started to ask all sorts of questions like when she was getting a nanny. Or what school she was going to go to, and if Babbit could attend as well. She was clearly excited about it all, and a stark contrast to the scared girl she had been her first night here. Romeo felt proud to see how she had blossomed, and frankly it made him feel reaffirmed in the fact that they had adopted her.

While food was still a struggle some days, other days it went just fine. It was just about knowing when he had had enough. Of course he couldn't just throw himself in the deep end, but he would always have great expectations for himself. Luckily Eden handled Amelia. Funny how things worked like that, but Romeo was nonetheless very grateful to his lovely husband. Letting the two clean up, he went to prepare for Amelia's tutoring session. Even if she hadn't started school, he still wanted to prepare her properly for what was ahead.
The little lycan obliged to help her father, carrying some dishes and helping pack the fruits into smaller bowls for later. Eden patiently answered all of her questions, which was good as there was a lot of them. "Pappa, do you think the other kids will like me?" She asked a little timidly all of a sudden. Perhaps because all of the questions had made new questions and scenarios play out in her head. She hadn't had that much time to socialize with others her age, and maybe that showed in the way she carried herself. Not that she was an adult, but she was perhaps more introverted than others might be at that age. She was far from stupid and she knew that she was a bit odd, but maybe that stemmed more from what had happened before Eden and Romeo had taken her in. Not only that, but her early transformation could prove troublesome down the line - not that it was anything she was quite aware of just yet.

Amelia was driven by doing good and helping out as she felt that brought her closer to her parents. It was still hard for the little girl to understand that she finally had a place where she could be safe. Where she didn't have to worry about much more than growing up, and it was a rest that was well needed. Eden genuine words made her smile a little, looking at the hand that he held, feeling the cold skin clash with her own warm. It made her feel good and safe, just as Romeo's heat did. He leaned in further and her eyes widened slightly at his admittance. Him? Not socializing? She had seen him on the phone so many times that she was convinced he had at least a million friends! Though in the eyes of a child that was perhaps true enough. However she couldn't help herself from chuckling softly as Eden told her that she would indeed crush it. Reaching out she wrapped her arms aroung his neck and hugged him close, "thank you pappa," she muttered against his cheek, giving him a soft peck.
After the affirmations and sweet talks, she went ahead to join Romeo for her study. The lycan smiled as she came running to him, sitting down between his legs as she was tasked with reading out loud from a book. The lycan behind her made sure to help her with the more difficult words, but she was already reading at a higher level than her age, so things were going great. Romeo clearly enjoyed these moments with her. Seeing her evolve over time little by little and learn more and more. He truly felt like if he hadn't picked business, then he would've gone into teaching somehow.

Amelia was doing really well, and their lessons went by rather fast. Eventually he got up to grab her some snacks, and while he wasn't a fan of the food right now, he didn't mind getting some for her. Maybe that was some nurturing instinct in him, but he chose not to linger on that fact. Instead he set her up with her music, assignments and toys. She was already far too busy with coloring in one of her coloring books to even look up when he told her that he would go work with pappa in the office. He chuckled softly, leaving the little lycan in her safe space as he headed to the office.
However entering he soon enough felt the tension in the room. He didn't even have to touch Eden to see his frustration, that was how well he knew him. Approaching him, he touched his cheek ever so gently, letting his palm rest against his cold skin. "Was I too mean this morning?" He asked in genuine concern. He knew how the vampyre could get frustrated when he didn't get what he wanted. Leaning in he kissed him down along his neck in soft pecks, wanting to amend anything he could. Soothe his husband and make him feel loved and appreciated. "You can have all of me now .. I promise you .. I'm yours," he muttered sweetly against his skin as he kissed along his throat and up to nibble lightly at his earlobe.

The assurance felt good. Felt safe. But he knew that there was still something wrong, and maybe that was why he just wanted to be in the moment with his husband for a bit. Sitting down in his lap, feeling the hands roam over his clothes as he felt rather hopeful that he would start to talk soon enough. And he sure did. However the words made the lycan clench his jaw before pulling away to look at Eden with a serious look in his eyes. Had they been wasting time? No, but it also felt so annoying to be reminded of the damned Parish estate all the time. "The ball is soon enough .. once it's all over we don't have to worry about them anymore," it was clear that Romeo hadn't given up the hope of some sort of revenge. He had more than plenty to lose now if they were found out.
"We will deal with this together," he said softly, wanting not only to remind himself but his husband as well of what this was. It wasn't some stupid solo mission for either one of them. No, time and time again, they had been proven to work best together, and Romeo refused to believe otherwise. "Have you had any luck in contacting Kareema again?" Though come to think of it that woman had drawn Eden out towards that strange building where he had turned human. And there was another thing that he still hadn't been able to process just yet. Things took time.

Romeo took a deep breath, calming himself a bit from the anger he felt. There was no use in getting angry when they still had planning to do. Kareema's trust was only rightfully questioned and he hummed softly as he was paying attention. "I don't want her knowing about Amelia," he just wouldn't budge on that point. That girl had nothing to do with their past ghosts and Romeo refused to let her be even slightly involved. She was a good kid, a brilliant and sweet girl that was just now starting to flourish. He wouldn't have neither Kareema nor those twins come anywhere close to her. It was clear he was going to protect that girl that was now their daughter.
"What we do now is plan carefully," he said, touching his face, cupping it between both of his hands, studying his features as he thought out his next words. He wanted them to be smart about this. If they eliminated the twins as a threat, then they could get to Josette and that could be the last straw to pull for the Parish estate to crumble. Leaning in he kissed his forehead tenderly, "I know we are both going to do whatever it takes to keep our family safe," he said almost in a whisper against his skin, closing his eyes and breathing him in. There had always been something so inviting about the vampyre's scent, even if there shouldn't have. "Perhaps I should speak with her," he said, knowing that Eden was going to object, "of course not without you there .. but perhaps to test her a little, see if we can trust her." Romeo was far from stupid. "If she agrees to meeting with me, and you're there ready for when you need to be a part of the conversation, then perhaps she would be willing to speak more freely - if she thought you were dead?"

Of course Eden wouldn't put their daughter in any danger and it had been far from his intentions to insinuate. What he had wanted was to remind both of them of what was at stake, and the fact that Amelia wasn't someone who could protect herself just yet. "I didn't expect you to leave me," he whispered softly. No, this was something they had to do together. Romeo's lips traveled down his nose bridge with gentle kisses and a slight hint of longing. That was when he finally greeted the vampyre's lips, pressing himself a little closer. They had a lot of things to plan, a lot of worry, but right now both of them seemed to long for the comfort of one another.
"I want to feel your cold hands on my skin," he whispered tenderly, releasing his face, moving his hands down along his arms until he took one of his hands. He guided it up under his shirt, sighing softly once their skin made contact. This was what he craved. The closeness and reassurance that this was worth fighting for. That what they had built together wasn't something that could just be whisked away. "Let us forget the worries for a moment," a soft plea, as his longing for the comforting and welcoming touch of his husband took priority. Leaning in he kissed his lips once more before his kisses moved down to his neck, biting onto him slightly, though not to break his skin. "If you want to bite me I won't object," it was so clear that he wanted to make Eden feel loved. Feel that connection they had, and that he could have any part of him that he wanted to soothe himself with.

They both needed one another, and it was so painfully clear in the way they touched one another. The way his nails dragged down his skin made him groan against his neck. The mutter only aided in egging him on. He took off his shirt rather easily, pulling it over his head before he leaned back in to tend to his neck, biting down and piercing the hard and cold skin. His hips instinctively moved against him, grinding himself against his husbands crotch, groaning slightly at the need he felt. His cheeks were slowly gaining color, and as he leaned away to look at the bite he sighed, leaning back in to lick it nice and clean. Eden healed rather fast, so he wasn't worried about keeping the wound open - he could always bite again. "Cazzo, amore," he moaned against his skin. He just longed for him, longed for more of his touch, more of his kisses and skin.
"I just want you," he muttered, grasping at his shirt, clearly showing how touch deprived he was himself. Eden did tend to his needs just fine, but it was clear Romeo couldn't constrain himself anymore. He had to have his love. Had to feel and be reminded of how tender their love was. "I won't ever get enough of you," he whined slightly, nuzzling their noses together as he started to remove the vampyre's shirt as well. He needed him. He couldn't be without him. "I want you to cum inside me so much that we both start to think I can actually get pregnant," he hissed under his breath, clearly heaving with need already.

Eden was teasing him now, but in all the right ways. He moaned under his breath as his behind was grabbed, bucking his hips slightly as he felt needy. The remark made him sigh, opening his mouth to lick the vampyre's lips when he got close enough, "I feel like I am in heat," he admitted. But maybe it was always that with Eden when it had been some time since they had been fully connected. He had been so used to having the vampyre anytime he needed him, but now they had to be more selective of when and where. The hand moving further down made a slight thrilling shiver run down his spine, feeling the tension in his stomach grow tighter. His pants felt like they were restraining him, but in the best way possible.
"You're really taking your time with me, huh?" He smiled, mostly because he loved it. When Eden took his time it was a sign of him truly loving the moment they were in. As if it would fly by at any moment. "I've missed you," he admitted rather vulnerably, pressing his chest to the vampyre, truly feeling their temperatures clashing. Nothing could compare to this. Nothing in this world could ever convince him that there was anything better than when their skin was flush with one another.
