They had it coming

Laying here on top of his husband he wondered if he could ever forgive himself for being this rough. Sure, him and Eden had experimented with cruelty before, but never on one another. At least not like this. It hadn't felt like the love they shared so often and so intimately. It had been primal and nothing else. He touched his skin as instructed, though it was a good thing that Eden took initiative to move his hand around. There was nothing that could beat feeling him like this, touching his husband and knowing that they were in this together. He appreciated what he had done? Sure, it had removed the stench of the other lycan, but at what cost? Currently he felt too lost to truly appreciate it all. Maybe he would once the emotions had calmed down, so for now he just focused on being here with the love of his life.
"Make love to me later .. when we've put our daughter to bed .. that's when I'll need your comfort the most," he pleased softly. He knew he never truly had to ask for it, but he wanted to be clear that he was not going to shy away from his marital duties after this. In fact he would want nothing more than for Eden to make love to him in the right way. Besides that, calling Amelia their daughter had sorta sealed the deal with regards to her. "We need to tell her .. that she can stay with us permanently," he just said rather serious, as it was clear that whomever was after her was not having her best interest in mind, even if it was blood relatives. "I know I can't save every lycan child, but Amelia is special," he sighed, lifting his hand to touch the vampyre's cheek gently. He had calmed down very much from how tense and frustrated he had been earlier.

Romeo liked the sound of an official adoption. He was sure that Amelia was going to approve of it as well. It was just the three of them against the world, and Romeo felt proud that the two of them could call such a bright lycan their daughter. While it hadn't been under perfect circumstances that she had come into their lives, it was clear that it was a sign from a higher power that it was time. Humming at the mention of the calm his lips pulled up into a smile, hearing so much life within the forest itself. "Maybe we should get out of the city more," he pondered. They were working mostly within the cities, and a young lycan like Amelia needed to stretch her legs and figure out her transformation at some point. Not that he wanted to force her to shift, as she was still rather shaken after last time. But if she were to, they would need the space for a lycan pup to get out the energy she needed. "We mostly work remote anyways .. We could rent a small cabin somewhere, get to breathe in fresh air for a change?" He pondered out loud. He wasn't sure Amelia was ready to be introduced to their town just yet, and they were still working things out with an architect who was currently helping them design their perfect getaway home. "We could get cozy in front of a fireplace; play cards and board games," it was clear Romeo wanted the true family experience, seeing as he hadn't really ever had one like that.

They were indeed busy, but not too busy that they couldn't spend time together. "Alright, I'll make you a deal .. we set up our company, make everything ready to launch .. and when we hit Solstice the three of us are heading out to a cabin up in the mountains," he insisted. It would give some time to get a nanny as well, which he supposed would be a good thing to have sorted out beforehand. Smiling he chuckled, "you call me lovey-dovey, but I think you're just as bad as me," maybe parenthood did that to people. Or maybe it was just a way for their love to blossom. He wanted all of Eden, and the more time they spent together, the more sides they got to behold. And Romeo had to admit that the fact that Eden could embrace even the sides of him the he despised made him feel really secure. "Celebrating Solstice with the love of my life and our daughter sounds like a dream come true," he muttered softly, feeling almost as if this was a dream.

Romeo rolled his eyes before chuckling softly. Yes, the vampyre was indeed romanticizing everything about the two of them actually starting a family. Surely enough they had been a family before Amelia, but this sounded more rounded. Besides, a lycan loved a pack, and two people wasn't really considered a pack. As the vampyre napped at him he jumped a little, "ow," he muttered, but he clearly didn't mean it. It didn't hurt, but it was cute that Eden was trying to pinch him that way. The mention of them being naked made him sigh, nuzzling himself closer, breathing in his scent, smelling himself on the man he loved as well. "We should probably get dressed," he hummed, though it was clear his body didn't want to move right now. It had used quite the energy, and just needed a little moment.
They eventually did get up, and went to the car. It hadn't been running this whole time, which was pretty lucky for them. They got into some clothes, probably looking dirty and crazy, but they could have a shower once they returned home. He got into the car, the scent of the other lycan lingering a bit, but it wouldn't stick forever. That was when Romeo's eyes widened, "cazzo," he cursed, looking to Eden in almost a panicked look, "I'll have to tell my mother that she'll be a grandmother." Swallowing he looked out the front window, "she's going to skin me for giving her that title so early .. but she's going to adore Amelia, so it's not all bad." He chuckled softly, shaking his head no. It would be fine.

Romeo apologized softly to Eden as he grit his teeth. "I know .. I like the feeling, but I can understand if you aren't too keen on it," he admitted. To him it was even a little pleasurable, but he was also rather used to feeling it and his mind had associated it with being closer to his husband.
Back in the car he chuckled, nodding at Eden as he reached over to take his hand, entangling their fingers. "She's going to adore her and spoil her rotten if she get it her way," he smiled. It was a good thing. Though him and his mother was still working on their relationship, he knew she was not cruel to children. Especially not those she was going to be related to. "She's trying to do better," he reminded him. She had hit him and disowned him. But she had also been under immense pressure from the family, and he could understand that. While it wasn't an excuse, it at least made sense. "Let's go home," he felt like he was already missing Amelia, which was a really strange thing to feel about someone who wasn't Eden.
When they got home, Romeo took the chance to steal a kiss before unlocking the door. Once inside he looked around, smiling as he followed the scent of Amelia to her room. Where was that woman? He moved into her room where he saw the tip of a tail sticking out from under the bed, and he felt his heart break a little. Moving over, he sat down on his knees beside the bed. "Papà is here, amore," he spoke softly, and the small lycan crawled out from under the bed, curling up on his lap. Sure, it was too big for Romeo's lap, but it didn't mean she didn't try in this form. He just held her, stroking her down her back and patting her head softly. She was distressed, and he didn't blame her one bit. Pheromones could be scary at such a young age. It was truly something only meant for adults.
Looking to Eden if he joined them he would pull a saddened smile, reaching for him to come closer. "Pappa is here too," he promised her softly. He had taken the liberty of looking up the word daddy in the language that had once been native to Eden. He felt it was only fair, but of course the vampyre could change it if he didn't like it. Amelia lifted her snout from Romeo's stomach, looking to Eden with sad eyes before she got up on all four a little wobbly and moved over to him for a hug and comfort. Meanwhile Romeo got up, looking around for the woman, coming out into the kitchen he grit his teeth. She was sitting on the kitchen counter, making out with a man that they had not invited into their home. The lycan sneered at them, clutching his hand into a fist before he went over to grab her and pulling her off the counter. He just started scolding her in Italian, keeping his volume to a hiss, but Eden would be able to hear it just fine. They had trusted her to look after their daughter, and here she was with a stranger in their home. Pushing her down to the ground the guy got involved now, jumping onto Romeo's back making him collapse under his weight as he was by no means a small guy.

Amelia was confused, but did as Eden said. She did step forward a bit, but then decided to just retreat to under the bed. Her protectors - her fathers - were there to save the day as per usuall.
Out in the kitchen, Eden seemed to de-escalate the situation, however the female was clearly horrified. "You bring people into this home that we didn't invite," he hissed as he pressed her down into the floorboards, making them creak softly under the pressure. "You were tasked with keeping our daughter safe; and you bring in a stranger?" Romeo wasn't just angry, he was furious, but he eventually released her. Straightening his back he clicked his tongue, pulling out his phone. He made a single phone call before he hung up.
He looked to his husband, coming over to wipe some blood off of his lips, gritting his teeth as he felt his jealousy rise within him. But he said nothing, just went to answer the door. Outside was a few men that had previously belonged to the Trevino mob, but had now joined Romeo's side after the shift in leaders. He spoke softly in Italian, and two men stepped in, heading out to the kitchen where they grabbed both of them. However they didn't leave before they nodded in respect to both Eden and Romeo, taking the two unwanted lovers with them. Romeo sighed, closing the door after them before he headed back to Amelia's room. He just didn't have the time to be frustrated, and violence within this home wasn't what he wanted for the young lycan to experience. With a bit of patience he managed to help Amelia back to her human form where she just sought out the protection of Eden and the elder lycan. Romeo helped her into a comfy dress before he took her and Eden back into their bed. Laying down with her, he just pulled her in, urging Eden to hold her as well. She needed the comfort and to know that she was here and protected.
Amelia finally seemed to relax, falling into a light sleep and Romeo looked to his husband. "We really need to find a nanny asap," he sighed, seeing that the fast solution had been a failure. "I won't forgive anyone who brings her into harms way; not even myself," he was a proud young man, but it was clear that he had the instinct to want to care for the young girl. "But adoption papers take first priority," he muttered softly, kissing the top of her head before leaning in to kiss his husband gently.

Romeo liked the notion of bringing her along. It was only right that she would be involved in this too. It was her life as well as theirs. Feeling his husband's lips was a small soothing thing that made him relax more. He loved him too much to ever not show his affection for him. However the serious question made him frown before he realized what he was hinting at. His eyes softened up, releasing one arm around Amelia to cup his lover's cheek. "You didn't knowingly put her in any danger .. this was not our fault, and while you did approve of the baby sitter, she was clearly in the wrong here," he spoke. No, nothing could be Eden fault here, not even when he had accidentally handled the box of pheromones. "I am jealous," Romeo then admitted with a sad smile, touching his husband's lips, caressing his bottom lips with his thumb. "I always get jealous when you bite someone else," they had talked about it so many times by now. It was just something he had to learn to cope with, but the alternative of Eden only being able to live off of him hadn't been good either. At least not for either of their health.
"I don't mind you sharing your kisses between me and Amelia," he spoke rather rationally, as the kissing there was certainly of care and love, but it was different for the both of them. And Amelia needed the comfort and love. "But your lips on the skin of a stranger?" Romeo shook his head a little, though not too firmly as to move too much. He was still holding the sleeping lycan after all. "I hate that sight more than anything in this world." It wasn't weird that it was one of those things he hated. He knew Eden had to from time to time, but that was different. They had a system for that, one where Romeo was in control and letting Eden feed. But he supposed it was just one of those things that he had to figure out how to live with. "I miss your bites," he scoffed softly. It had been so intimate, so personal, and it felt like that was gone now. He worried that when Eden bit him that he would fall ill again. That he would accidentally poison himself in the heat of the moment.

No, he hadn't thought, but that wasn't something he was angry about. Eden had done what had come natural to him, and Romeo could never falter him for that. But seeing it like that afterwards just stirred up something within him. Eden had said it himself; that he was his; that they belonged together. And yet it felt like their nature was always going to be a hindrance in some way. The lowered tone made Romeo's eyes turn vulnerable, looking down as he tried to gather his thoughts for a second. Amelia was still sleeping soundly, probably resting up after everything, but she shouldn't be sleeping for too long. "I'm just afraid of risking your health," he spoke candidly, and it was the honesty that they had always promised one another that truly had control right now. "I've been too close to losing you because of what I am," looking back to Eden still touching his face ever so gently. Every part of him seemed so perfectly crafted and fulfilling him in so many ways.
"We have so much more to lose now; our family; our home; our company." Romeo was pointing out some rather strong arguments. Gritting his teeth he placed his thumb against the vampyre's teeth, feeling their sharpness, but taking care not to break his own skin. "I feel too selfish to ask for something like that, when I have seen what my blood can do to you." Eden had been really sick. Sick to the point where the doctors had practically given up on him. But he had come back for him, only at what cost. Leaning in, he removed his thumb, kissing his lips once more rather tenderly. "You mean so much more to me than my irrational need for you to bite me," he muttered softly against his lips.

It was true that Eden hadn't ever disliked what Romeo was - it was actually quite the opposite. But Romeo did notice the frustration when Eden didn't know lycan stuff. He had seen that look of irritation when once again it was something as animalistic as pheromones annoying him. His husband wanted to try, and could Romeo really fault him for it? No, it was actually rather sweet of him, but for now he couldn't budge. "When everything is settled with Amelia and a nanny .. we can do it, but I think we shouldn't do it at home, and not with her near," he said in a soft sigh. That was his conditions. He needed to know that Amelia wouldn't walk in on them and Eden would be suffering or something of the like. The girl had been traumatized enough as it was.
"But when we do it .. I want us to also have like a antidote or something on hand; I don't know if we can have something like that made, but it would be worth looking into, right?" Romeo was planning ahead. If it was something they could do in a safe environment and with a back up, then he would feel more at ease. Even if there was a big part of him that just wanted Eden to do it right there and then, he couldn't allow that side of him to rule his life. "And this little nugget shouldn't be sleeping this long anyways, otherwise she won't sleep tonight," he chuckled, stealing a kiss from Eden once more, just lingering a bit before he slowly started to wake up the girl between them. She wasn't really satisfied with being woken up, but the news that she could get to stay with them permanently made her cry happy tears. For a girl like her, who was extremely smart and knew a lot of words by now, she just kept babbling soft sounds of happiness as she held herself close to both of them.

Romeo knew that. But one could always hope, right? He just nodded and agreed. When Amelia had calmed down a bit he couldn't help but scoff as Eden commented on him being dirty. The vampyre was one to talk? He guessed he would just have to wait for a come back later. The mention of dinner made the young lycan smile and nodding. She loved helping out in the kitchen in any which way she was capable of. "I guess I'm really being taken care of today, huh?" He smiled and it made the little girl look proud before he got out of bed. Ruffling up her hair a bit and caressing Eden's cheek he left for the bathroom. Looking at himself in the mirror he did see the faint mark of dirt that the vampyre had tried to rub off. However it wasn't before he was standing under the water, seeing all of the dirt run down the drain, that he knew just how dirty he had been.
Once he was done and had gotten into some clothes, he had a towel over his shoulders, slightly drying off his hair as he came into the kitchen. Amelia was standing on a chair and Eden right beside her as they were cooking. He felt his heart melt a little and moved closer he wrapped his arms around the vampyre from behind, looking at what they were doing. "It looks yummy," he noted, making Amelia shine with pride as she handed the elder lycan a piece of carrot that she had cut. Romeo of course took it into his mouth and chewed, humming and nodded approvingly. "Best carrot I ever had," he promised her. He kissed Eden's shoulder before he went to go set the table.
Pappa .. can I call you pappa?" She asked with big eyes, looking up at the vampyre. Romeo had taught her that word, but she had yet to ask if she could use it around the vampyre. She saw him as a parental figure already, but it would clearly mean a lot to her if she could call him by the name that Romeo had taught her. Romeo smiled, looking at the exchange as he went to hang up his towel.

The pinch made Amelia giggle before laying the knife down and wrapping her arms around Eden. She hid away her face, just holding on tight as if she was afraid of letting go and what that would mean. Eventually she did let go, but she didn't really stray much from the vampyre's side. Funny how she had been so apprehensive about vampyres before actually spending time with one and growing to care for him. She was a child, yes, but she understood what comfort and safety was. And that was what her new parents were providing her with. "Thank you pappa," she said softly as they finished up the meal. Being helped down from the chair she insisted on bringing the plate of cut veggies to the table while Eden handled the heavier lifting.
Romeo soon enough joined them once more, joining his little family for a nice dinner. It had been quite the day, and frankly he was more or less just looking forward to sleeping in Eden's arms. Once they had finished up eating, Romeo sent Amelia off to do a few of her assignments while the lovers cleaned the kitchen. Or rather, Romeo did as he insisted on it. While he cleaned the two of them spoke of quite mundane things; or at least as mundane was with the two of them. They were so close to being able to register their company fully and their trademarks had gone through rather smoothly. "I am really nervous about all of this," he chuckled softly. He hadn't really been nervous before, but perhaps it was more of an excitement mixed with a little worry. Like what if it didn't work out? Of course they basically knew all of their staff and investors had already taken their bids. "I mean, I believe in our abilities, but it's also really new," he smiled, washing his hands before drying them off. The kitchen was once more spotless.
Walking over to Eden, he wrapped his arms around his shoulders, kissing his neck in soft pecks. "I guess it just feels a little crazy that we are this close, you know? He smiled against his skin, leaning away to look at his husband. He was as handsome as ever, but for now he couldn't linger much. "Do we still have a deal about later?" He whispered almost seductively, and while he knew he didn't have to schmooze him, the vampyre also liked to be flirted with. Or at least flirted with by Romeo. If he gave a positive answer he would lean in and press their lips together briefly, though not in a kiss. "You'll get the rest later then," he muttered before moving away. Always a bit of a tease and a brat. He supposed he could never let go of those parts of his personality.
He went in to help Amelia with her assignments. she was basically brushing through all of it. Romeo was certain that this girl was meant to be their daughter in some way with how brilliant she already was. She was a good pupil, and it made Romeo feel more secure in his teaching style.

When Amelia was done with her assignment she got to go change if she wanted and then she had a bit of playtime before she had to be in bed. It was Eden's turn for a goodnight story, and Romeo helped her pick out a book. She loved adventures. Stories of heroes that won over dragons and got to be knights. It wasn't traditionally girly, but there was no need to enforce gender roles on anyone, even less a child. Tucking her in, he kissed her on her forehead wishing her a good night. Leaving the room he told Eden that she was ready for her story and that he would go get ready for bed.
Amelia had picked out a book that Eden had read to her before, but she had really liked it. And truth be told, she had fallen asleep about half way through. That was why she wanted to hear the rest of the story tonight. It didn't take long from when Eden started to read that she started to feel drowsy, cuddling herself down into her mattress and pulling the covers up to her nose. It didn't take long before she was actually sleeping, snoring softly from how long the day had been.

Romeo was indeed getting ready for bed, brushing his teeth, combing his hair a little, though he knew it was going to get messed up not only by his sleep. Afterwards he headed to bed, undressing before he got under the covers. He wanted to surprise Eden a little with a sight only he could ever see. They had played around with toys, not really anything special, but Romeo had found that butt plugs were good for relaxing his muscles down south, and that it only made it better in the long run. He had it in right now, grinding himself a little against it as his cheeks started to flare up. He hoped that Eden would indeed not mind the sight.
His cheeks were starting to gain some heat, panting softly as he felt almost a little impatient. But he was taking it slow, savoring the moment and just biding his time until his husband joined their bedroom. Once he came in he would be able to see the lycan heaving softly, and it was clear he was doing something beneath the covers. If the vampyre went to remove it he could watch the way Romeo slowly pulled it in and out of himself, actively preparing himself for his husband. "I was a little impatient," he admitted softly. His body was on full display and it was only for Eden. Only for his husband. "Are you not going to help me?" The brat in him acting up, but it was only because of the sheer love he felt towards the man he was with. "I think I might be ready for a bigger size," he murmured, leaning his head back as the plug was so easily slipping in and out of him at this point.
