School Shenanigans [cw]

“We’ll find out.” He said as he went and looked as she explained what they needed. They would have to order a delivery but it wasnt like they had to wait long. Kurtis took out a tablet from one of the cupboards and put it down so they could just make the order there. “Is there anything you want me to do?” He asked, though he was quite liking the fact that she just took control of the situation. His cooking knowledge was limited, even if he knew what nachos had, it wasnt like he had ever understood the process of making them. He did however search it up on his phone while he let her organize all that she wanted.

He liked how smooth this seemed to be going and soon the order was placed. As she assured to teach him how to make the salsa he chuckled and nodded. “Alright, sure. I do have this girl that I really want to impress though so you better teach me something good.” He said quite seriously but his smirk gave away that he obviously meant her as the girl.
He went off to find what she told him to, getting a cutting board and a knife, now that they had gotten everything else out of the fridge. He went with her to wash the vegetables and didnt really seem to mind her wanting them all washed; He wasnt used to this after all, so he didnt find it tedious. “Uhhh. I dont mind either. Probably chunky the most.” He said, washing off the last couple of veggies before it seemed ready. He watched her cut the veggies and got the knife to then try and do it as well as she had. It wasnt terrible but it wasnt that good either and he could only scoff at himself. “Do you cook often? Or just sometimes.”

He just listened as she went on to explain, while he watched what she did with the vegetables. Though something did make him wrinkle his nose just slightly. “Creative? Because you didnt have a lot?” He asled, finding it a little interesting because he could never relate, or at least not for the time being. He didnt really think of her as less than with her being newly rich but then again he wasnt really that interested in titles and all that. “I think knowing when it’s bad is actually a good thing. Like, look at me, I dont know what’s good or bad. I could be eating the worst fucking meal somewhere and think it’s all just meant to be exquisite.” He chuckled.
She went on to speak about her dad and he actually found the story cute, though he’d never say that out loud, even to save his life. He had already warmed up to being soft and cute but there also was a limit. Only then she drew a correlation between her parents and them and Kurtis felt a little nervous at the thought. He however decided to just suck it up and leaned over to kiss her head as she muttered her apology. “Let me take over.” He urged her, wanting to show that he could do something as well. If she let him, he’d cut some onion as well but didnt realize it’d make his eyes sting. He let go of the knife after a while and lifted his hands to his eyes. “Holy fuck that stings.”

He felt her grip before his hands reached his eyes and followed her pull without saying anything. Her question seemed a little rhetoric, because it was quite obvious that he hadnt cut an onion before, he had never had to cut any kind of vegetable all this life. He dried his eyes eyes once his hands were clean, watching the onion in her hand as she explained.
He was much more happy with dealing with the peppers, peeling out the seeds and chopping it up. Her question made him hum as he thought about it. “I dont really think about what it exactly is that I eat, my parents put me on a diet when I was a kid so I went from loving food to not really caring about it anymore.” He explained with a slight shrug. “But to be fair, I was kinda fucking fat as a kid, you’d love to see the pictures.” He chuckled, checking the peppers to make sure he had removed all seeds and not forgotten one.

“I might.” He said with a smile. As he checked the peppers, he listened to her speak about her favorite dish. He had no idea what it was so it was good that she explained it to him. “Well the weather in spain asks for that kind of dish.” He said, thinking it was good to have some cold dishes to eat in the summer heat. He however repeated the name of the dish to himself, clearly wanting to remember it.
He added the peopers as instructed, watching her mix it before she had a small taste. He was feeling slightly nervous because he didnt know if he had done well. He tasted it too, humming as he nodded. “What does that mean? Pico de Gallo?” He asked, taking the moment to lean a little closer to her, placing a hand behind her lower back to pull her closer, though it was just because he wanted her close.  “It’s kinda hot that you know more than I do.” He admitted, smirking as he looked at her.

Beak or the rooster? His expression showed that he found it quite humorous, but he wanted to know why it had the name it had. Only that when she explained it, it did sound just a bit ridicolous. “Okay, so we’ve made bird food.” He chuckled.
The roll of her eyes and snarky remark didnt seem to deter him the slightest, because he liked it. “.. And speaking of swimming,” He said as he looked at her a little serious with his eyes slightly narrowed. “Have you been swimming since I taught you or have you just decided to forget it?” He asked, rubbing her back gently with his thumb.

He was actually happy to hear that she had been swimming because that way, at least he knew he had taught her well. But the mention of the doctors made his smile fade slightly, as he hadnt really been speaking of that time. It had been quite long from that night to now in this moment and she had probably had plenty of opportunity to swim around if she wanted to. However the notion tht she wanted to freshen up what he had taught her with him brought the smile back and he just wanted to pull her in at that point. Only that the tablet notified them and shortly after she moved out of his reach, his hand lingering where she had been for a moment.
He got the baking tray as she asled, to then watch her fiddle with the stove. He would let her figure it out on her own, though he knew how to turn it on. He had used it a fair few times when he was too lazy to grab his lighter and grab a quick smoke. He let her handle the pan and just moved back to watch what she did. She seemed to know exactly what to do anyways. He brought the onions when she asked, dumping the leftover onions in the pan. He was about to move away when she handed him the spatula and showed him how to do it. “Dont tempt me.” He chuckled, but kept stirring like she had showed him. “How can I burn it when I’ve been taught by a pro?” He asked, smiling a little proudly as he kept stirring. He liked the smell of food in the air.
His mother came out into the kitchen, walking over to the fridge to grab a water. “It smells good in here. I didnt know the chefs had been over.” She said, though it was clear she was joking. “Yes, yes, embarrassing mom signing off again. Have fun.” She said before she walked off though Kurtis was a little preoccupied to really care whether she had been there or not.

He did hear her praise but he thought she was giving him too much credit when he was just doing what she was telling him to do. But the mutter did get a reaction out of him, making his cheeks just a little bit warmer as he mumbled a dont fucking start with me now but then he smiled a little as she had passed him. He heard her scramble around and didnt need to turn to know that she had gotten the cheese. He could almost smell it, even more as a lycan.
“So this is the part where I pick up on cooking and sweep you off your feet the next time?” He said, but as much as it was just sounding like a jest, Kurtis thoroughly meant it. He smiled a little to himself and sighed at the thought. Fuck, he was so in love with her and that felt so good. He turned down the heat on the meat and went to get the tablet, opening a new order before putting in a few things, standing for a bit to check the order before making it without saying anything further. “I hope you like chocolate.” He said before putting down the tablet. He went to turn the meat again, though the low heat only kept it warm at this point.

He wasnt going to let her see what he had ordered, because he kind of wanted to surprise her somewhat. The butler entered and she seemed to take the bag off him while Kurtis was still stirring. She camemby and the applaud made him shake his head. “Shuuut up.” He hissed playfully. She got the tray and he brought the pan, placing it on the counter but not where it would burn them. Once again, he just followed orders and they got the tray filled and popped it into the oven.
He just agreed with the timer because he sure as hell didnt know. He looked on as she cut the avocado, finding it a little funny that it had a pit inside, though he knew it. “I want it as you like it.” He just said rather than deciding. He went and got the garlic, knowing how to peel it without asking. If she looked he’d eye her and shrug with a slight What? before explaining that he usually drank a ginger, honey and garlic mix in the winter to deal with a sore throat.
He got the presser and a bowl that the avocados would go into.

“You may find out some day.” He assured her with a wink, pressing in the amount of cloves that she wanted. It seemed that they had finished most of the preparations and he helped her fill thw dishwasher, though they didnt really have to. Why else were there servants around every hour of the day? He noticed her playful look as she turned around, narrowing his eyes slightly before she pulled at his shirt and he just followed. He didnt get to say much before she connected their lips and he returned the kiss. His hands grabbed onto her sides while his lips tenderly moved over hers. Though it wouldnt be Kurtis Trevino that she was kissing if he didnt lean away in a teasing manner and just looked at her.

Her push only made him smile more playfully as her question made him hum. Maybe he did like to see that, know that she really needed him that much. Though her not wanting to cave in only made him chuckle. They were both quite stubborn so it could turn out to be a challenge more than anything. “Please. You can do better than that.” He said before he decided to walk closer again, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close, but he wasnt kissing her, even if he leaned down dangerously close for their lips to meet. “Is it because you dont want to kiss me, Kurtis?” he started in a lighter tone of voice to mimic hers. “The answer is that I do like how you kiss and I do want to kiss you so bad, so fucking bad that I almost feel like I’m going crazy.” He explained, lowering his voice as he spoke more seductively. “Please just pull me in, call me a dumbass again and kiss me like it’s all you’ve been wanting since you stepped in.” He kept on, nuzzling their noses as he spoke, even grazing her lips with his but then the timer rang and he moved away. His breath was a little shaky and his cheeks a slight rosy colour.

Her mumble was amazing and he was really just hoping that the next thing that would happen would be him feeling her lips against his, but the timer was like a reality check. They couldnt just be going crazy in his family’s kitchen, as tempting as it may be. She checked the nachos and he was still panting slightly, though it didnt feel bad.
She took the tray oit and announced dinner, but when he looked at her he noticed something different with her eyes. Though he wasnt sure if he was supposed to ask. “It looks good. But that’s all your doing really.” He said before he pulled out a chair from the isle and gestured for her to sit.

“Yeah, key word being helper, dummy.” He pointed out as he sat down next to her. He let her take the first chip before he picked from the side without cheese. He had a feeling that they would have messy fingers after this so he was happy with the napkins. “Cheers.” He said in unison to her words, chuckling a little before he blew on his carefully. He really disliked burning his mouth, it was just annoying to him so he wanted to avoid that. She seemed to like it though and as he felt like he could eat his bit, he hummed in agreement, chewing and swallowing before picking up another chip, dipping it as well. He was mindful as to not just eat it all but he avoided the cheesy bit.
