Life is strange indeed

Yes she had asked for this, but this wasn't the outcome she wanted. She wanted the lycan scared out of his mind, she wanted him to tremble with fear for the monster that Eden was. But then Eden pushed her away and it was then she realized there was no going back. "Could you untie me?" he pleaded, feeling like the rope was really rubbing away his skin. If the male vampyre complied he would sigh, leaning back on the divan as he tried catching his breath. It had been so hard when he had been gagged that now he felt like he couldn't get enough air in to his lungs. "I just need a little bit of air," he promised him, trying to smile though he didn't like the way Laure was looking at them. "We don't have to do as she says," he reminded Eden, lifting a hand to touch his cheek.
Laure was frustrated now, getting over to a drawer she opened it, pulling out a small knife made of silver and she walked over to stand behind the divan. She grabbed the lycan by the chin, pressing the silver blade to his neck making the lycan grunt in pain. "I'll slit his throat as soon as you start fucking him," she promised him, smiling in a deranged way almost contorting her face. "That way he'll at least be warm for you for a while."

Laure hated this. She hated that her brother was not following orders. She had worked so hard, and now it was all for nothing. And for what? A ridiculous lycan! A lycan that Eden would get bored with any time soon, and he knew that, didn't he? She pressed the silver knife closer to Romeo's neck, but he was rather fast getting out of her grip with ease, grabbing the knife even if it burnt his palm. He threw it away, stumbling to his feet he gasped for air.
Laure was losing her temper for real now, "I'm so done with these low-lives tearing us apart!" she screamed, lounging at Romeo, tackling him to the floor as she clawed at him. Multiple cuts appearing on the young lycan's torso, tearing up the shirt he had been dressed in. Blood soon leaked everywhere and Laure got to her feet. "I should've killed you back then," she sighed looking at her brother, "I should've just killed you back before they sent me away ... But I guess me trying to kill you was why they sent me away to begin with," she sneered.

Romeo was gasping, finding it heart to breathe, but he was lucky that he was a lycan as the wounds quickly tried to heal themselves. He crawled back, sitting up against a wall as he watched Eden tear in to his sister, even going as far as ripping a chunk of her neck off, it landing on the floor with a loud splat sound. Laure screamed, placing a hand over the open wound, the blood running down in to her hands and that was when she saw red, jumping Eden. Their fighting had never gotten to this level. Eden had never fought back but now there was nothing holding her back anymore. "I've always hated you ... The perfect son who could do no wrong," she mocked him, biting and clawing at him as they moved down the hallway. Romeo got up, following them, staggering as he wanted to protect Eden at all cost. And as he saw Laure was about to rip him apart he jumped in, grabbing her from behind and prying her off of him. This wasn't about family or love anymore. This was pure hatred and the vampyre hissed and screamed as the lycan held her in place. Romeo looked at Eden. From where he stood they only had one option. "Fucking coward!" she screamed, kicking backwards, making Romeo lose his grip and falling to the floor. Laure remained standing, spitting on Romeo as she sneered at him. "Pathetic ... You think you're going to protect him, huh? You're a fucking disgrace to your own race!" she screamed.

Laure got grabbed and she tried fighting back as he held her in place. She was panicking now, seeing the lycan approach her. "You'll regret this!" she screamed, "As soon as that lycan is gone, you'll have no-one!" She was lashing out now, trying to grab on to something, throwing anything at Eden and hoping it would stick. Romeo got closer, looking at Eden with a serious gaze. They both knew that if Romeo took her life, then there was no turning back. If Eden consented, Romeo would lift his wrist to his mouth, biting a large gap in his skin where his blood ran out. He lifted his wrist to her lips, and while she clearly tried to fight it, there was also something alluring about the lycan's taste. "It will be painful," Romeo said, looking at Eden as the vampyre was latched to his wrist. She was drinking a lot and he was starting to feel dizzy, trying to pry her off of him.

Oh she was fighting it. She wasn't having him trying to call her dear. But soon enough she was succumbing to the poison that slowly spread through her body. She broke free, the blood still being blood made her strong. The lycan's blood was running down her chin and neck as she stumbled backwards. She looked at Romeo and then to her brother. There was sadness in her eyes. For the first time in her life she was regretting something, and that was not being able to kill them both when she had had the chance.
Romeo placed a hand over his wrist, shaking as he had lost a lot of blood already. He was sniffling, because he had felt her life deplete as soon as she had started to drink from him. Laure stumbled further back, until she fell back, smashing the large windows by the stairs, falling back through the glass and down to the ground. Hitting it she was still barely alive, looking up at the sky above where it was soon going to rain. And as the first droplets hit her skin she breathed out for the last time, her eyes turning blank as it was left staring at the sky for eternity.

Romeo was panting for air as some servants came to take a look at him, but all he worried about was Eden. Getting over to him he sat down by his feet as the vampyre collapsed, holding him close in his arms. "No," he pleaded as he couldn't seem to wake Eden. Fuck. Fuck, what had he done. He looked at the vampyre, seeing his wounds infested with the lycan poison and he shook his head. No, this wasn't right!
The servants eventually tore him away, having to tend to his wounds as well. As soon as he was bandaged up he was put in a bed and given pain medication to sedate him a little. His family was contacted, though they had written that an urgent business matter had come up between him and Eden. When Romeo finally woke up he was pretty sore. Pretty much crawling out of bed he went to search for the vampyre.
Some servants wanted him back in his bed, but they also saw there was some genuine worry for their master. One they hadn't really seen before. A maid took him to Eden's room where he teary eyed watched the vampyre in a deep slumber. He crawled in to bed with him, wrapping her arms around him and holding him close. "I'm here," he whimpered, scared that what he had done would end up taking away the only person he had ever truly loved. "Don't leave me here alone and without you," he pleaded.

Romeo hated feeling like this, so helpless and unable to do much. He had barely left Eden's side, only getting up if the medic needed to change some tubes or adjust the blood flow of the vampyre. Otherwise he had stayed right here beside him, eventually falling asleep with one arm lazily around Eden. He was curled up next to him, sleeping but not a deep one. That was why he slowly woke up as he felt the cold hand on his face. At first he thought it was the medic trying to wake him up again, but then he felt the cold lips against his own warm. Romeo was basically plastered in gauze and wrappings all over his torso, neck and arms, but his face was mostly unscathed.
Waking up he opened his eyes slowly, seeing those blue green eyes that he loved so much. That was when he started to tear up, crawling closer only to reconnect their lips once more in a careful yet tender kiss.
He had been so scared. Terrified that he would cause Eden's demise. Frightened that if Laure had died, maybe it would be pure karma that Eden would follow shortly. But here he was, living and breathing, but it had been a rough twelve hours. It was twelve hours of not knowing what was going to become of him, of them of everything they had worked to become. "How are you feeling?" he asked, tears running down his face that he tried removing as quickly as they appeared. He didn't like crying, but it was clear just how happy he was to see Eden responding and actually moving. Vampyres in slumbers looked very much like corpses; Pale, cold and lifeless. But Romeo had clung to him, hoping that maybe his heat could help burn away the poison. Or perhaps just make the pain more bearable. "Fuck Eden, you scared me," he muttered, laying his head down on the vampyre's chest, careful not to mess with any cuts or tubes. He just wanted him near. "I mean ... Our story isn't over yet," he said. He loved Eden, really loved him like he hadn't loved before, and the thought of losing him now that he finally had him made him so terrified.
"The doctor said that you could've died," he said, touching the vampyre's face gently, just looking at him and taking in his features. "And it would've been all my fault ... I could've killed you," he whispered, closing his eyes as he tried not crying again, but it was almost intolerable the pain he had felt in his chest.

"I don't care if I die," he protested, pressing himself closer to Eden, his hand touching his chest, being mindful. "But I you died ... I don't think I could've ever been happy again," he said being rather vulnerable in this, but then again, now was sorta the time to get everything out. Gritting his teeth at the fact that Eden would've died at the hands of the one he loved made him sigh. He was right, but that didn't mean he agreed with how it should've ended. Besides that it wasn't like there would be any real hope of the two of them meeting again in the after life, right? "How do you feel about what we did?" He had to know. His biggest worry was that Eden would come to regret it and blame him. Or that perhaps something worse.

In a couple of thousand years. Romeo frowned, chuckling a bit, because that was so far in the future that he wouldn't be alive by then. He didn't want to ruin the mood so he just nodded, holding himself close to the vampyre. It felt good to be chosen by Eden. It felt like he could actually be brave some day and stand up to his own family. But that was a headache he didn't want right now. He sat up a bit, leaning over the vampyre to kiss his lips in a tender kiss. That was when he realised, "fuck, I'm still wearing that stupid skirt," he muttered, looking down himself. He didn't mind it, he had barely noticed it, but now it felt a little weird. Should he go change? But then again, he didn't want to leave Eden's side. Sighing he just looked at Eden, clearly a bit conflicted about what to do. So instead he spoke about something else. "The human has been patched up and sent back to my cousin - he was the guy who called," he explained.

Romeo nodded, scooting out of the skirt as he threw it across the room. He didn't even want to look at it. Afterwards he crawled back under the covers with Eden, pressing his body to his as if to warm him up. Of course the lycan was warmer than normal right about now, seeing as his body was in healing mode. He was surprised that he hadn't slept more, but he thought it was because his body still worried about the vampyre next to him and whether he was going to be alright. Looking at Eden it was clear he was curious about his cousin, and he nodded to his question. "Yeah, it's the first time he's actually taken an interest in what I do ... And he thinks he can just swoop in and take all the credit at some point; He's the one who's going to inherit the business at some point," it wasn't fair in Romeo's eyes. He had done everything, been the perfect student and even the perfect nephew for his uncle. So perfect that his uncle saw him as his son more than Kurtis. But the fact that Kurtis was now trying to take back power was making Romeo question everything he had fought so hard for. The next question made him sigh, "I don't know; I've done some shit to that girl Laure had taken and I don't think he fully understands what I'm trying to teach him," he said. Closing his eyes he snuggled up to Eden, kissing his shoulder and chest a few places, breathing in his scent. "But the worst part is that I'm starting to understand him more and more ... And change is worse than death," he scoffed.

Romeo gritted his teeth. He knew what he had started out with in regards to Kurtis, but it seemed like everything was so muddled. "I wanted to teach him to protect what he has ... He takes everything for granted, his family, his friendships and even his future," he frowned, knowing that getting upset wasn't fair. He breathed out in a sigh, he was tired and the lack of nicotine didn't really help his mood that much. "Ever since we were kids he's been pampered and babied; I've had to face so much and I'm still working and improving every day," it was clearly something that upset him. All he wanted was the approval, all he wanted to hear was that he did a good job. But his uncle was a hard man. Sure he had his moments, but there were never any real thanks. It was always finish one task and then on to the next. "He gets handed everything on a silver platter, he has a girlfriend that he parades around like she was chosen for him-" he stopped himself, shaking his head, "no, I don't want to talk about him, he's not worth my breath." He looked up at Eden. Was it really such a far stretch that Romeo perhaps wished he could have some leeway from time to time? That he could be allowed to fuck up or make mistakes? His upbringing had been rough, all of his emotions were supposed to be on the inside and yet here with Eden it was so hard to hide them. "I'm sorry ... You should rest," he muttered, closing his eyes.

He just laid there, watching Eden slowly detach himself from every tube and wire that was connected to him. If felt good to just see the vampyre move. The question made him sigh, turning over to lay on his back, looking up at the ceiling. "It would go faster if I just shifted over to my true form," he muttered. Lycans were weird like that. Some referred to their lycan form as their true form, the human form only one that was necessary for society. "But you wouldn't want to be around a big dog while you're healing, so I'm sucking it up," he chuckled. He knew some vampyres looked down on the lycans simply for shifting in to an animal. Or well it wasn't just an animal. Sure they could run on all fours, but they still had the intelligent mind, albeit often more clouded by their nature. "Besides I like being able to talk," he said. Romeo didn't dislike being in his lycan form, in fact he found it rather freeing, but it wasn't normal that you just went in to your form just to be in it. And if he was then he couldn't really communicate with Eden. "Vampyre bites are the worst though," he muttered, lifting his arm up, looking at his wrist. It needed changing again as the bleeding had a harder time stopping when Laure had sunken her teeth in to his flesh there. "Your teeth are meant to break us apart, and even if you die from the poison we might have injuries that end up killing us."

Romeo sighed, maybe he was making up excuses. But showing his lycan form meant more than Eden seeing him naked. Or that was how he saw it anyways. As the vampyre pulled his wrist closer, it was clear Romeo was confused. But then he kissed it and Romeo pushed him away and in to the mattress below. Sure he wasn't as strong as he really was when healed right now, but he was still willing to protect Eden, even if it was from himself. "What do you think you're doing?" He demanded to know, his eyes scanning his lips, his hand with the bad wrist shaking under the strain it was under now. "Don't go risking it," he muttered, feeling his eyes water.
