Stay out of it

His tease only made her scoff as she shook her head at him. She had missed him. Even though he hadnt been gone that long. She liked how sweet he always was, their noses nuzzling together made a sweet smile spread on her lips. The question however made it fade a bit as she couldnt just tell him what she needed. No that would make her weird. “I need to handle it on my own.” She said, looking at him with a more serious look in her eyes. One thing was letting him help her with her neck, while it still just sort of looked like an actual wound, it wouldnt be that apparent that it was there because it was how she had died before she was brought back to life. And she wanted to keep that in the dark for as long as she could.

He sighed, "alright," he gave in. He couldn't really deny her anything seeing as he had sorta put her in this situation. He placed a soft kiss against her forehead, digging in to his pocket he handed her a small device. "Keep this on you, and press it if you need me," he said, looking in to her eyes being rather serious about this. "I'll stay here .. Chill with the cat .. And when you come back I was thinking we could watch a movie?" he smiled.

He gave in and she felt a little relieved by that, putting the knife away as she had completely forgotten about that. At least she wouldnt have to start make up excuses, she would hate if she had to do that to him. She looked at the device, humming before putting it in her pocket. “I will. Does it show you where I am?” She asked, mostly because she was curious. His suggestion for afterwards made a smile spread on her lips. “That’s a really good idea. I would love that.” She agreed, turning back on her heel to go change. She changed into something comfortable but also something she could walk around outside in. She placed a rather large silk band around her neck though it would itch a lot. “I had a bit of blood on my sheets and Nyx helped. But she straight up just took my toothbrush and used it to scrub. Can you believe it?” She told him, finding it absurd but also very funny.

"Show's me your coordinates, yeah," he said, opting to be honest with her. He sighed softly, "sorry, I'm just a bit on edge after what happened with Nyx and the group," could she really blame him for being too protective? He probably was, but he also wanted to do right by her. "I won't snoop unless you beep me in .. Or I think you've been gone for too long," the last part he added, just to let her know that he would check on her if he hadn't heard back from her in a while.
She seemed to like the idea he had suggested, smiling but that smile faded as she told him what Nyx had done. She had to know she was on thin ice already, and this wasn't going to help either. It was downright disrespectful what she had done. "I'll talk with her," he promised, but talk could mean a lot of things. He leaned away, "go - before I regret letting you," he chuckled softly.

She hummed softly, understanding that he took his precautions. It was better to be safe than sorry, Emily could easily understand that. “I’ll make sure to keep you updated.” She assured him so he wouldnt have to worry.
When she brought up Nyx’s actions, she had sort of just expected him to laugh along. And yet he seemed to take it seriously. She shook her head at the promise. “No. It’s not that big of a deal.” She assured him, and if he seemed to think otherwise, she’d step closer to him. “I didnt tell you this so you could use it against her. I want boyfriend Rhys to be here with me right now not work Rhys.” She said, before she cupped his face. “Please just leave it?” She asked softly, rubbing his face with her thumbs. He told her to go but she wouldnt before she was sure that he was being here as her boyfriend and not just some kind of bodyguard.

Rhys knew he had been buried to his neck with work and it probably showed. She however seemed to calm him down, making him sigh as he nodded. She was right. "Alright, alright .. Boyfriend Rhys will be here as soon as you return," he promised her, leaning in to kiss her good cheek. Biting his lower lip he inspected her, watching her from under his long eyelashes. "Now give me a smile .. And I'll consider making a pillow fort for when you get back," he chuckled.

“He better. Or I’ll bring him out myself.” She warned him, as if that was some sort of threat. She forced a funny smile as he asked for one but quickly softened up and  giggled as she was having a pretty good time with him right now, so it was a shame that she had to go. “Come here.” She said, grabbing his collar to pull him in for a soft peck before moving away from him and getting ready to leave. She grabbed her phone and the essentials. “Wont be long, also feed the cat, I didnt give him any before I slept.” She said, sending him a soft grin before she left.

She pulled him in and as their lips met his free hand instinctively moved down to her hip, pulling her close if even for a second. Yeah he was sorta lost in her, wasn't he? "Fine, but hurry back," he warned her with a teasing smile on his lips. This would be their first day as a real couple, and he wasn't going to fuck that up now.
While she was gone he pulled the sheets from the dryer, fixing up the bed and transforming it to a genuine pillow fort that they could sleep in if they wanted to. He also found a selection of movies. He did end up checking up on her gps, but he didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

She found some close to off date meat that definitely looked interesting. The cashier made it cheaper for that reason so she basically got everything else for free. She moved away from the store and found a more closed off alley to eat in peace. It wasnt the best she could get but it would soothe her hunger a great deal. She made sure to clean her mouth thoroughly once she was done eating, from dental sticks to brushing and mouthwash. The last thing she wanted was to have bad breath. Heading back she was rolling around a few mints in her mouth, feeling better already. She sanitized her hands too with a gel she kept in her bag for emergency feedings. She got back pretty fast, surprised to see how he had transformed it so quickly. “Wow.” She muttered, taking off her shoes and jacket. She wondered if he had managed to persuade the cat to come out from hiding. As much as it had hated the crate, it seemed like it had gotten used to it now if not dependent on it.

Out in the kitchen he had managed to coax the cat to at least eat and drink, sitting on the floor next to it, filling the bowl when it was empty. It was clear it had been really hungry from being so scared. He got up as he heard the front door, making the cat's ears wiggle, chuckling softly as he went out to greet her. He had taken off his hoodie, showing the many cut she had that were slowly healing, but around her he could afford to be vulnerable. Going to her, he helped her out of her jacket before taking her hand and pulling her closer. "You were gone for too long," he muttered, showering her face with soft pecks, smiling against her skin, "go pick a movie, I'm trying to get your shitty coffee machine to brew something worth drinking," he chuckled, releasing her slowly as if he couldn't be without her.

She sent him a happy smile as she saw him, noticing that he was still wounded but she knew he would heal. It didnt make him less appealing to her at all. She let him help her with the jacket and as he pulled her in with that needy mutter, she giggled. “I’m sorry. I tried to be as fast as I could.” She said, enjoying every single peck he placed on her face. The mention of the coffee machine had her chuckle. “I usually warm some water in the kettle and just use the funnel mechanism. I dont actually think it has ever worked.” She admitted, feeling a little hesitant about being away from him too. This was their honeymoon phase after all. Where everything was beautiful and perfect, or so it felt. She sat down with a sigh, feeling a little unsure but she did make a top three so he could help her decide. She pulled out a little box from her nightstand, a little long for her hands but she also felt a little nervous holding it.

Fair enough, he tried her method and right enough it seemed to work. He made her a cup too, taking it with him in to the bedroom where the TV was ready. He placed down the mugs of coffee, looking at the movies she had placed on the table. Humming softly he lifted one up, flipping it to read the backside as he noticed her sitting with a small box. "You alright?" he asked, placing both coffee and movie down as he looked to her.

He nodded, not wanting to pressure her in to talking before she was ready. She diverted the conversation and he smiled, wrapping an arm behind her back as he looked at the movies, "well I don't think I've seen any of these movies before." In fact he couldn't recall having seen many movies in his lifetime which was probably weird, but alas here he was. "this one looks weird," he chuckled. Picking up one of the movies, he turned it in his hand looking at the backside, reading a bit about it. "Good weird," he replied before she even asked.

“How many movies have you watched?” She asked, because she was sure she had put a classic in the selection. He however picked an interesting one that she didnt mind. She took the movie and went to put it in before returning to him. Grabbing the box again she sighed. “If you laugh I’m gonna hit you.” She said before she opened the box and took out some glasses that she slowly put on. It felt odd. She didnt really like them, mostly because when she had gone to have the problem checked, the eye-doctor had chuckled and said it was something most people got with age and since she was so young, she shouldnt be having that problem at all! Just thinking about it annoyed her. She didnt look at him because she found it weird. Not that she disliked people with glasses, it just wasnt something she had imagined for herself. Or maybe the mean girl bias was just ingrained in her.

"I don't know like five maybe," he chuckled, shrugging as he knew it sounded odd. Of course there had been a fair few movies on the TV whenever he scrolled by, but he wasn't really one to sit down and actually watch them. Again with the box, he looked to her as she took out the glasses putting them on. She had warned him, but he didn't find it funny. Instead he lifted his hand, touching along her jawline very carefully. "Fuck," he cursed under his breath, looking at her with the glasses he smiled, "is there anything you don't look hot in?"

Five wasnt a lot, but at least that meant they could spend a lot of time together watching movies. Well, unless he made fun of her now. She felt his hand on her jaw and turned her head to look at him with vulnerable eyes. The way he cursed and complimented her just made her feel better and she looked down a little shy. “Probably a great many things.” She muttered in a reasonable tone. She looked at him again. “I can see fine when I’m out, it’s just screens and text and stuff that I really have to focus on.” She said, like she needed to defend herself somehow.

Her shyness surprised him a bit, perhaps because she always seemed so confident. To him she was beautiful, and maybe he needed to get better at reminding her of that. Because he really liked her. She started to defend herself, and he just smiled, leaning in to kiss her healthy cheek, breathing in her scent. "I don't think you understand what I said," he said, kissing her along her jaw, mindful of the sore side of her face - if it was sore. "I said I think my girlfriend looks really hot," he said, putting more emphasis on the words as he spoke them.

Rhys just did what he would've wanted her to do if the roles had been reversed. He had things he was insecure about as well, but she had helped soothe that. "And you're beautiful," he replied in a soft murmur, clearly busy kissing her skin and nuzzling his nose against her. It was like now that they were an actual couple he wasn't so afraid or reluctant to kiss her. Pulling away, he looked at her, "I think we're discovering too many kinks of mine today," he said in a light chuckle, searching her eyes, hoping she liked what he was saying. "You make me feel like such a teenager," he scoffed, moving some of her hair behind her ear.

She leaned in, and he greeted her lips with just as much tenderness as she brought to it. Pulling her closer, he ended up laying down with her as his body was still rather sore from the day before. But it wasn't going to stop him from enjoying this intimacy. His hands moved down along her body, his lips moving carefully against hers, almost as if he was trying not to hurt her. Of course he wasn't really realizing that, it being deep in his unconsciousness.

She laid down with him, moving her arms up to wrap around his neck, just kissing him slow and tender, taking her time to indulge in the feeling she had in her stomach being this close to him. She could feel his hands and she wasnt sure that anyone had ever touched her like she meant that much to them. She just pressed him closer, breaking the kiss off from time to time to breathe, only to kiss him again. Her heart was pounding in her chest which would be rather apparent. Her arms had moved because her fingers were itching to just touch him, running her fingertips up along his neck and over his scalp, her legs slowly but surely intertwined with his. She soon wasnt sure that she could get any closer.

The movie was slowly starting, but in this moment he felt like he had completely forgotten about that. Her fingers made his muscles tense up, his skin feeling so warm as they both seemed to give in to their emotions that were overflowing. He gasped softly whenever she broke the kisses, longing for her lips once more, and she didn't disappoint one bit. This was the sort of intimacy he had only heard about and never really thought would be possible for him. The fact that she wanted to be so close to him, even almost wrapping herself up in him made his heart beat ever faster.
And yet he had to pull back, heaving for air as he carefully opened his eyes to look at her. His cheeks having gained some color, his lips a little swollen, but it felt too good to stop. However he could feel himself getting more and more turned on, and he once again felt the need to hold back. "Stop being so sexy," he groaned, nuzzling their noses together as the last thing he wanted to do was move away from her. He wanted her close, as close as he could, and yet there was a part of him that was scared that he wouldn't be able to stop now that she was kissing him so lovingly.

He pulled back and she pouted lightly, just tempted to lean back in and resume, show him that she was far from ready to stop this now. He looked so beautiful as well, with warm cheeks like her and the slight swelling in their lips. She was panting lightly, her heart needing a few deep breaths to start calming down again. His groan made her chuckle lightly. “Deal with it.” She muttered, feeling his nose against hers. She however meant it, and because of her own greed, she stole a soft kiss off his lips, followed by another and another, tilting her head from side to side as she wanted all angles. She felt needy and blessed at the same time, her fingers in his hair softly gripping at his roots while her other hand gripped around the back of his neck. “Keep kissing me.” She whispered a little breathlessly, looking at him with pleading yet vulnerable eyes.
