"We all carry where we came from in us, but it isn't who we are," he said a little wisely. He had been everywhere thinkable in this world, and while he was from was still within him, he had grown and turned himself into who he was now. He was Cesare Leon, and nobody could take that claim away from him. However he remained quiet, listening as Benjamin went on to explain. It was perhaps the first time that he had heard him speak so freely. It was a nice change. Seeing the memories in his eyes almost though he retracted into himself again, making the vampyre frown, even more so as he started apologizing.
"You think I am not interested in your stories?" he asked, tilting his head to the side as he was trying to understand him once more. Reaching out, he placed a finger under his chin, making him look at him again, the vampyre's eyes kind. "Speak more, darling, you have a calming voice," it was so genuine, and he released his chin soon enough. Cesare was a man who took as he pleased, but tonight he was gentle. Tonight he would try to behave, especially because the human had a cut cheek that still needed mending. He was just happy that the patch he had applied was waterproof, so they wouldn't have to worry about it coming off in the water.
"Tell me of your adventures; What did you come across? Dragons? Fairies? Perhaps a princess in a tower?" He wasn't speaking in a mocking tone at all.

It was maybe true that it didnt really define Joe, but could he deny that it hadnt been forced on him with a rough hand to be just like his father, his family, the whole god damned town wanted him to be? The thought was frustrating so he just left it. He instead tried to find something to talk about which was the times he had gone on adventures. Oh the trouble he got in for those.
But he was also sure that the vampyre didnt want to hear it. Well, until he asked a question that Joe thought had an obvious answer. Average Joe with no proper stories. The urge and notion that he had a calming voice and therefore should speak more felt as genuine as it looked. The question of their findings made him fold his lips for a moment before he scoffed and chuckled, maybe for the first time. "Corn. Lots of it. We ended up being lost in a cornfield, miles away from home. We had to eat the corn raw. And well... I dont really like corn now because of it." he remarked, before he sighed and looked away, remembering it quite fondly. "I liked seeing everything that wasnt home. Forests, rivers, fields, roads." he said, again wondering if it was silly. It was mundane stuff. But it meant a lot to the human. "I got in trouble at school once and after my parents scolded me, it felt so unjust and yet I couldnt just misbehave more, because that would just prompt an extra scolding. I instead left and walked along the highway road. I wanted to see how far I could get away before I would be found. I reached a motel not far from the next city where a lady phoned my dad."

The encouragement seemed to work, and Cesare wondered what was going on inside of the human's head right now. What feelings he felt, what sort of things he could remember from back then. He heard the human chuckle, which surprised him yet again, but he was interested in the story. Corn? He frowned a little befuddled, but as the human went on, the vampyre's features softened up, smiling as he chuckled shaking his head a little. He had never tasted corn, so he wouldn't know what to say about it, but he was just happy that Benjamin was finally talking. He knew the circumstances weren't ideal, but he wanted him to feel like they could talk. He wasn't going to give up Benjamin right now, no, he was too interesting to him.
The human went on to even tell a small anecdote, one that Cesare was eating up, surprised to hear how far he had gotten. It must've been some walk for a child, that was for sure. "If you could choose anywhere to be in the world, where would you be?" he asked. If the human longed to see more, he felt inspired and inclined to make him see it all. Cesare smiled, his eyes waking up a little as he seemed to finally ground himself in the moment. He felt excited now. Wanting to hear more. "There are amazing forests in the Americas to see or perhaps the bustling city life of Paris?" was a few suggestions just to get his mind churning.

Seeing the vampyre actually become invested in the stories he was telling was a great encouragement to not give into his own worries whether they were interesting or not. It seemed to be changing the vampyre's otherwise distracted mood that had been filling the car before. The question made Joe narrow his eyes in thought, fiddling with his fingers as he tried to think of somewhere. Frankly he wanted to go a lot of places. See what was out there, just like he had as a kid. The suggestions from the vampyre that were quite lively with excitement made Joe chuckle. "I would never in my life have money to go both places." he remarked. "But I have heard of America and how great it is there. My friend moved there, when he left." he said, before he sighed. He remembered how his friend had offered for them to go together but at the time had Joe not been ready to just leave.

Cesare frowned at the notion he wouldn't have the money to go both places. Did he really think that the vampyre would not take him there if he simply asked? The mention of the friend again made him tilt his head slightly, "a close friend I take it," it couldn't really be anything else than that. It didn't take a genius to figure that out. He sighed softly, moving his hand over, taking the human's, feeling his warmth on his skin. "I will take you wherever you ask to go," he said quite genuine, lifting his hand to his lips, placing a rather galant kiss on it before the car stopped.
He got out, holding the door for Benjamin as the smell of fresh air and see hit them. Cesare felt in a better mood now, looking at the boat by the marina. It was quite a fancy one, not too big, but big enough for the two of them. He grabbed their bag, holding it as he reached down to take the human's hand once more. He pulled him with him, rolling his eyes if he tried fighting his touch, but Cesare didn't feel discouraged.
He got on board, helping the human get on as well before he walked to check that everything was to his liking. "Come sit by me .. you get a beautiful view," he said, and he wasn't kidding. Up by the roar you had a good view of the sea, seeing as the moon above them were full and lighting up the surface of the water. It looked almost like silver, or perhaps glistening diamonds. Cesare started up the motor; It was clear he was experienced with this, as he rather easily got them out of the marina and heading out to sea. Though they didn't go too far away from shore, it would still be away from the danger of letting the bottom of the ship hit the sea floor.

"He was my best friend for many years." he said to correct. But they probably had been close. Joe didnt know anymore. He hadnt seen him in years, though there was an occasional letter that Joe always forgot to reply to. He didnt move his hand away from the vampyre's touch but the cold was definitely still so weird to him. He looked at him as the vampyre said that he would take him anywhere, though instead of asking why, he just decided that he could never figure out what the vampyre was thinking.
They got out and he thanked him for holding the door. Looking around he definitely had no idea where they really were. Could be anywhere. Seeing the boat, it looked very fancy. He had been on smaller boats, makeshift rafts but not something like this. He felt afraid of breaking things, even if he wasnt clumsy by nature. He wasnt used to expensive things in life. He couldnt act natural being surrounded by riches. They got on and the mention of a beautiful view made him wonder if the vampyre was serious or if it was just to get the human to sit next to him. He complied regardless, moving over to sit. He looked at the view and had to admit that it was quite beautiful. "You were right." he sighed, looking around before he looked up at the sky. The moon was quite bright, taking away the view of the stars, but the sea was pretty.

Cesare smiled as it seemed the human had to agree with him. The only true sound was that of the motor running, though it wasn't too loud. They could still hear the sea as it was, the small waves that hit the side of the ship as they sailed along the shore. It was clear the vampyre knew how to do this, he though he might even be able to do it with his eyes closed. "I used to travel around like this a lot - of course not on this boat, but in general," he explained. Being on the sea wasn't too much of a hassle, and he only really had to go ashore to get filled up on blood. "I think I prefer the sea to land, if I'm being completely honest, but out here I wouldn't get to meet a lot of people," he chuckled, shrugging as he clearly didn't think too much about it right now.
However a thought popped into his head, "come closer," he said, and the human would have to comply. He guided Benjamin, having him stand in front of him making him take the roar. "Hold on good, the engine can be a little tricky," he whispered in his ear, though he was still holding on. He wasn't going to take away his safety wheels just yet. "That's it, nice and easy," he spoke encouraging into his ear, his front pressed lightly against the human's back. Though it wasn't like he was actively trying to be too close to him. It was just a matter of needing to reach the roar right now. "Alright, now to turn, just do it slowly; let the waves work for you," Cesare was a good teacher when he wanted to. There was a reason he sired so many. When he was in a good mood he could give out valuable information of all kinds.

It was quiet but not quiet like it had been back home. The waves made it rather serene along with the motor running. He hummed softly at the vampyre’s words, still taking in the view, the sounds and the atmosphere. It felt like a place he had to remember forever. Even sitting alongside what he still thought to be his immortal enemy, so to speak. The more he got to know him, the less he reminded himself of how much of a monster he had to believe him to be. Though he wasnt quite sure he was at a stage where he didnt remind himself every now and then. It had only been a day.
“You seem to like meeting new people.” He muttered, as he had gotten that impression. The request for him to come closer made him frown a little but he moved to do as he was told. He looked so puzzled as he was now taking the roar, unsure what to even do. The guidance was nice and he focused too much on the task in his hands over how close the vampyre was standing behind him. He followed his words, turning the roar slowly, not sure whether he understood the whole let the waves work for you because he couldnt translate the feeling of the waves into how he should be moving the ship. “This is hard.” He had to admit, though it was his first time ever having control of a ship like this. He could paddle at best on a small rowboat.

"I do," he admitted with a slight shrug, "but perhaps it is only to soothe the part of me that knows I'll live forever and be alone as well." However he didn't seem bothered by it. In fact he didn't even seem sad. Though to be fair he had had a few centuries to consider this lonesome existence.
Letting Benjamin take the roar was perhaps a bit reckless, though he wasn't worried of crashing. He did well, "good boy," he praised him in a soft mutter against his ear, letting him figure this out. The admittance made him chuckle softly, lookin gout at the water as he thought of how to explain this. "It is .. but not once you get used to it," he said as he thought of something, "close your eyes, darling." It could sound scary at least knowing that he was in control of the ship, though Cesare could probably stop an accident from happening if he did something wrong. "I want you to clear your head; right now it's just you, me, the ship and the sea," his voice having turned to a whisper. He kept an eye on their surroundings, as that was easiest for him if he were to keep them from hitting the sea floor.
"Can you feel how the waves are hitting the side of the boat?" he asked, because the human surely could. "If you turn the roar a little bit, the waves will aid you to move around as you stir up the water," he explained, taking his time to release his hands from the roar. He wanted the human to be in control. "Now, open your eyes," smiling from ear to ear, Benjamin was doing this all by himself. "As the captain, you get to decide where you want to go," he said, his hands moving down to rest on the human's hips.

The praise didnt quite sit well with Joe but he had also heard it enough outside the context that bothered him to show a noticable reaction. It could also just seem like he was really focused on steering, which he was. Gods forbid that he made this expensive boat crash. The notion of getting used to it was not something he took to heart. He doubted that he would get to experience this again. He closed his eyes and though he felt nervous, he was also ambitious. He could do this. He was a quick learner.
He did feel how the waves moved and as the ship began turning, depending on how much he turned, the waves either helped or gave a bit of resistance. It was an odd feeling. But also interesting. He didnt quite realize how he was steering on his own until the vampyre made him open his eyes again. “Where can I go?” He asked, because surely he could decide, but what was there to decide if he had no idea what lead where? He did steer in some direction to see what was out there. A bit of young Benjamin did remain in him always, like he had said.

"Anywhere .. that's the point," he chuckled softly, just looking at him. He was quite endearing like this, and Cesare wondered why he found him so appealing right now. He leaned down, burying his face in the nape of his neck, his hands on the human's hips just holding him close. He wasn't doing much. He wasn't even kissing him, he was just holding him, looking out from
the neck to the horizon ahead. "We're heading north-west right now, a fair bit away from Raleska I would say," he pondered, his words muttering a bit against the human's skin.
"Over there .. steer us towards that," he said, pointing at a small indent in the land mass on their right hand side. From here they couldn't see much, but the closer they got the more it looked like a private beach.
Getting closer, Cesare just helped him slightly, showing how he knew how far the ship was from the bottom simply by feeling the pull of the roar. Haltering he turned off the engine, but letting the keys stay in. "Go change," he urged him, nodding towards the bag he had brought. In it the human would find a pair of swimming trunks as well as some drinking water and even a few snack. The vampyre hadn't held back when preparing, probably having packed well enough for two meals in the bag. Cesare went to change as well, getting in the water simply by diving in from the edge of the boat. They had made sure to anchor the ship, so it wouldn't go anywhere. Coming up from the surface he pulled himself back on the boat, pushing his wet hair back. In the moonlight it was sorta fun to see vampyre skin. It didn't sparkle, but it had a certain sheen to it. One that was hard to describe.

While he was steering and getting them somewhere he didnt seem to mind the vampyre. At least he was a little too occupied to tell him off or even realize that it was quite nice to be close. No, he would never think that being close to a vampyre could be nice!! North-west? He hadnt even ever seen Raleska with his own eyes. Though one day he wanted to. He steered in the direction the vampyre wanted him, accepting the help to not break the ship by sailing too close or into something. A vampyre’s sight was far better. He could probably see anything in the water if he wanted to. Joe couldnt do that, and the moon’s shine was not helping.
As he was told to go change, he at first felt a little reluctant, looking at the bag before he went to grab it. He saw the items inside and went to at least consider changing. It was hard to make himself do it willingly, but as the vampyre probably remembered, Joe was supposed to do what he was being told. So he changed, coming out to look at the water. He went to the edge to look into the water. It looked cold. He wasnt really that big of a fan when it came to the cold. The vampyre got up and Joe did notice his skin, frowning lightly at the sight. “Why does it shine like that?” He asked, though it was probably rather inappropriate, it wasnt like Joe knew about the social codes for talking to a vampyre.

As the human came out Cesare smiled as he saw he had changed, "the water is warm," he said, and it was true. The sunshine had warmed the sea all day and it was still very warm considering when the sun had gone down. Though this close to Raleska anything could be true. The question about his skin made him look down before he looked to the moon. "I suppose this is a fact you'll like the sound of," he said before looking back at the human. He walked over to him, taking his hands and guiding them to his chest. He could touch the skin, but the shine was almost like an invisible layer on top of the skin. "It is so Koric's children may hunt my kind more easily during the full moon," not that he was worried about a vengeful lucan out at sea.
"Though not many lycans know of it anymore, as most live in peace with one another," he just said. It didn't mean that things couldn't be bad, but as with everything else a feud was bound to happen sometimes. "The weakest spot for a lycan to attack is right here," he guided one of his hands up to the nape of his neck, "some lycans are known to have snapped a vampyre head clean off with their jaw alone." He was rather relaxed about it before he let go of the human's hands.
"Well I'm going back in," he smiled, touching his cheek a little gently before stepping to the edge and diving rather elegantly into the water without much of a splash. He was under the surface for a while - a perk of being a vampyre - before he went up to the surface once more. Would Benjamin dare to join him?

The water was warm? It looked cold to Joe. But then again, the only times he had really been out at sea, it was almost freezing cold. He needed some more time to decide whether it was warm enough. The purpose of the shine wasnt really something Joe liked. But he couldnt say that he disliked it either. He felt unsure about lycan’s because many of them seemed so emotionally driven that they could be a danger to everyone around them. He could feel the warm water on the vampyre’s cold skin as the vampyre made him touch it. His skin was rather soft. Way softer than Joe’s roughed up hands from using them when he worked or when he was fixing a cars for fun.
His hand was guided uo and he looked at the vampyre’s neck, listening to him calmly explain how another creature could just end him. It was a little baffling that he was so relaxed about his own possible death, but then again Joe was exactly the same. Only if he was presented with how alike they were, he’d still deny it. The vampyre let him go and touched his cheek before going under the water again. Joe did sit on the edge with his feet in the water, looking at the vampyre. Okay, the water wasnt really cold at all, at least it would take a good while for Joe to turn blue. But he didnt know what the vampyre had planned. For them to just swim around? He didnt quite trust it.

The human's hands felt rough, but it didn't feel off-putting. Rather Cesare wondered if more of him was rough by nature or something to do with work. He didn't ask, mostly because it wasn't relevant to their conversation. He could see the confliction in his eyes as the vampyre spoke about lycans. He thought for sure that the human could relate to him, but perhaps not. Every monster had its counterpart. The balance had to be kept in order, and Justiae made sure of it.
Getting back in the water felt good. It wasn't perhaps the same feelings for a mortal he supposed, but then again he had never been a mortal. He watched Benjamin, his feet in the water made him look quite cute. He swam closer, looking up at him, "did you take the snorkle?" He asked, it had been in the bag with the swimming trunks. Perhaps the human had thought it silly, but he wouldn't be able to look under the water without it. "The longer you wait, the colder it will get," he warned him, splashing a bit of water up on his feet as he chuckled. He actually seemed to genuinely have fun in this moment.

He hummed at the question, lifting the bag up before he put it back behind him. It made sense that he would be needing them, though he also werent too sure that he could see much. He didnt have nightvision or really good nightsight in general. “Hey!” He exclaimed as the vampyre splashed water, sitting for a moment before he decided to slip in. He felt the tempered water surround him, drawing in a sharp breath as it was colder than him but nothing too bad once his shoulders got under. “You said you went out often like this. Do you really like swimming then?” He asked, grabbing onto the boat as he didnt want to tire himself out by kicking his legs all the time; at least if they were going to be in for a while.

Cesare chuckled at the exclamation, but he wasn't discouraged about it. It worked, didn't it? He watched as the human got in, finding everything he did rather endearing. Maybe he just wasn't as used to seeing mortals like this. Perhaps that was what made him curious. He did notice how he was holding onto the boat, though the human quickly found something to ask him. "I do like swimming, a vampyre has this nifty thing called not needing to breathe to survive which comes in handy," he said, smiling a little as he found himself amusing at least. "Though swimming isn't the only thing to do in water .. sometimes it's better to just feel the water, wonder where it would take you if you just let the waves decide your fate," though he wasn't going to test that wonder right now.
He moved closer, reaching his hand out, "you can hold onto me," he said, a genuine offer as they were about to move away from the boat. He wasn't really sure if he wanted that help, but regardless it couldn't really hurt trying to offer himself up like that. Whether or not the human was holding on to him he would swim a little closer to shore, not really far away from the boat, but enough to where no boats could roam. Under the surface there was something shimmering. "Are your goggles on tight?" he asked.

“Uh-huh.” He hummed, noticing how the vampyre found himself amusing, yet he couldnt imagine himself that way. It felt good to breathe, he thought. “Have you ever done that?” He asked, confused as he couldnt imagine it to be that nice to just drift away. But then again, the vampyre didnt need air to breathe, so he could probably just do that. Joe would be worried that he’d eventually tire and drown. He looked at the hand that was offered, feeling a little reluctant. But he ended up accepting it, though he quickly realized that he had to hold him by the shoulders. He watched where they moved, until they arrived at some middle ground. “Yeah they are.” He confirmed, though he was a little distracted. The vampyre didnt feel all that cold in the water. It was odd. He had expected him to stay cold through everything.

"No, otherwise I suppose I would still be drifting," the oceans were vast and the storms out at sea could've taken him everywhere. No, he liked being able to at least pretend where he was going. Though he had thought of it many times, he preferred the luxury of a ship or staying on land. The human held on to his shoulders as the vampyre swam for both of them. The confirmation made him smile, reaching up to take the human's hands off of his shoulders. The snorkle had a small pipe that Benjamin could breathe through, so he helped him adjust it. Hold my hand, relax your body and float as you look down,"[/color] he said. The hand would ensure he wouldn't just drift away, and Cesare didn't need goggles to look under water.
If the human did as was asked of him, he would see a whole new life beneath the surface. Fish of different colors lighting up as the small fins navigated the reef beneath the two. Cesare smiled, looking at the fish as he hoped it was visible enough for Benjamin to see too. The algae was lighting up as well, making it look truly like something taken out of a fairytale or perhaps an animated movie. But it was indeed real life. The vampyre turned to look at the human, and while he couldn't see much of his face, he wondered if he found this boring. At least Cesare loved watching fish like this.

Joe felt his hands be removed, looking at the vampyre as he gave him clear instructions. He held onto his hand and needed a moment to relax. He didnt really know what to expect, but he would do it regardless. The adventurer in him had taken over and he needed to see what there was underneath the surface. As he stuck his head under, his eyes had sort of adjusted to the nightlight. The fish swam by, though Joe noticed hiw fast they fled once they got too close. It was wild to see fish in real life like this. He noticed the algae, how it was shimmering with it’s movements. He wanted to see more. He felt some brave fish swim around his legs, finding it so odd and yet so cool. It was safe to say that he was amazed. His hand didnt let go of the vampyre, even squeezing it as he found something that he pointed towards. He couldnt quite make out what it was but he found it exciting.

Cesare could see the excitement, the small squeeze of his hand made him turn his face attentively, smiling as he saw a crab moving sideways over a rock. It had a few spots of the algae on its back, making it look a little funny. The vampyre remained still in the water, and seeing as he was not breathing nor moving, the fish soon gathered around him, getting closer to the human as well. He just held his hand, letting him see all of the fish that came close. His face calm as a few fish moved to his face, inspecting his body as if it was merely a foreign object to them.
He moved a little carefully and the fish scattered, moving up to the surface, still holding his hand. He wouldn't mind if Benjamin kept looking under the water, he was free to do so if he wished. He would simply keep him in place, make sure he didn't drift off somewhere or perhaps started to panic.

He couldnt even see that it was a crab but it looked beautiful. He did appreciate how the vampyre was keeping him in place, though he would never see it. He noticed how the fish got closer, trying to be still too, though it seemed to only succeed for the vampyre. At least until he moved.
He did eventually start to feel a little cold, scooting just a bit closer to the vampyre as if he had much heat to offer. It just felt so natural and Joe wasnt used to be hanging out with a vampyre after all. And maybe he was sort of forgetting in the moment that he was supposed to be disliking this and being close to the other guy.

He did notice how Benjamin moved closer, but sadly he wouldn't have much heat to offer. He signaled for them to get up and once above the surface he helped his hand to his shoulder so he could hold on as the vampyre took the goggles off. "You're getting cold," he said. It was strange how he cared about that, but perhaps it was in their best interest to head back to the boat. If the human was ready, he would help him back, having him hold on to his shoulders as he swam back. Once at the boat he helped him up, following swiftly behind and walking calmly over to grab some towels. He pulled Benjamin closer and away from the edge, drying off his hair before he wrapped it around him. "Go downstairs .. I'll start the engine, get some heat going for you," he said. He dried off himself before heading over to just turn the engine on. It wouldn't burn off too much gas anyways just being idle.
Downstairs was a fairly nice lounge area, a small heater placed by a area with a mattress and some pillows. He walked over to a fridge at the other end, opening it to take out a vial that he downed relatively quickly. He just needed it for survival, not to indulge. The empty vial he placed into a recycling bag before washing his mouth out. He had seen how Benjamin had disliked the smell the day before. The heater was slowly coming to life, filling the small cabin with warmth. "Thirsty?" he asked, coming over with a water bottle for the human if he so wished for it. He sat down a few paces away from him, just looking at the heater, wondering what it might feel like to be warm. He had been warm before when he was drinking from a donor, but the heat was so fleeting. "What does warmth feel like?" he asked a little out of the blue, but it was a fair question, was it not?

Joe did want to head back as well, even though it was odd that a vampyre of all was noticing that he would be getting cold. Or was it? Maybe it was easier to tell as a predator who basically could feast on him if he wanted to. He held onto the vampyre but also swam a fair bit himself so he could get some heat into his muscles. He was helped up and watched the vampyre get up. He got them towels and Joe followed the pull, though being dried off felt odd. That wasnt something he had experienced before in his adult life. Definitely had as a kid but it was a fair few years since then that he barely remembered.
He moved down as told, drying off completely, even slipping into a shirt so he didnt feel so naked. He sat on a chair and waited. The vampyre joined him and he didnt stare as he got himself a vial. Joe wasnt sure he found vials more ethical than someone willingly donating blood. It was sort of the same either way, wasnt it?
He accepted the bottle of water and thanked him quietly before he took a few sips. The question made him hum thoughtfully as he looked from one arm to another like he was trying to deduct the feeling he had right now. “It makes your muscles relax. And it feels nice, like you feel fuzzy and calm. Or if you’re angry, then you feel like a kettle, boiling over with these strong emotions.” He said to put it simply. “Cold is more apparent. You get goosebumps and start to shiver. I feel a tingle in my skin on the areas where I’m cold and my brain tells me to find a way to warm. So I usually rub my hands together and rub the area or put on a jacket to keep the heat I’ve got.” He explained, shrugging. “Do you feel that you’re cold?”

Cesare was genuinely interested in what he had to say, listening as the human went on to explain how he felt heat. He reached his hand out, knowing he would feel the change in his temperature but that it wouldn't last. Then he started to explain cold and his hand dropped, looking at the inside of it, his palm cold already as he was a bit stuck in his head. He supposed that was why the human felt repulsed by him - that and the obvious fact that he was, at least in the eyes of the human, a vicious predator. The question made him hum, shrugging lightly. "I'm aware of it, but only when it's drawn attention to; much like when someone mentions to you that you are actively breathing," or at least that was a thing he had heard mortals talk about. How they were breathing without realizing but once they were reminded it would feel a bit odd for them.
"I do experience heat .. like when I'm close to someone, sometimes their heat can rub off on me, but it won't stick," he said, frowning as he thought about it a bit more, "but I haven't experienced a fuzzy feeling." Maybe it wasn't too weird. His survival didn't involve heat in the slightest. He sighed softly, looking at the heater as he smiled a little, "but it sounds like being in love." That fuzzy feeling inside when you were in love, that one he could recognize. He shook his head, "pardon me, I'm rather pathetic today, aren't I?" The human didn't care, or so he had convinced himself. Normally by now he would've taken what he wanted or killed him off. But he still couldn't get himself to do that.
"I suppose it's only natural .. You probably won't believe an old vampyre like me would have feelings, but I've learnt today that a former lover of mine has passed away," he spoke almost affectionately still.
