Let's get this started

Callan was so gentle with them that it always surprised them a little. Of course they knew that the daemon cared for them in his own way, but this felt like him truly living up to the promise of protecting them. They were offered some pills, nodding as they popped them in their mouth, following with a good few gulps of water. They didn't like pills, but having to eat them more regularly meant that they have had to get used to it. The invitation had been rather genuine, and the agreement meant their heart picke a bit up in pace. They knew that Callan liked baths, but it probably wouldn't be nice with a sick seraph.
However as they were pulled in they whimpered softly at the skin to skin contact, grasping onto the side of the tub just to have something tangible to hold onto. It wasn't like they were getting used to being this close all of the time, but they were getting better at adapting and relaxing into the touch. Laying in his arms like this, feeling the water that was poured over their skin made them sigh in relief. "Thank you," they whispered softly, closing their eyes as their body slowly relaxed. The only thing bad about this was the fact that afterwards they would have to change the medical covers over his wrists. But it was doable when this was so good for them. The pills were slowly working too, driving down the fever, touching Callan's arms in small strokes. It was quite clearly a comfort thing, but also in a way to show how they appreciated this. They had meant it when they had told him that they loved him. "Is there a particular reason why you like baths?" They asked softly, opening their eyes to look up at him.

Their face was cupped and they leaned into the touch with a soft sigh from the skin on skin contact. He was so nice and warm, probably aided by the water around them. Reminded him of home? Saige couldn't really related, as anything that reminded them of home was a bad thing. But the way that Callan explained it made a lot of sense to them. The peace that he supposedly longed for. Saige almost wanted to ask if they could go see it, but they knew better than to ask more about his past. They weren't looking to sour the mood. "When I was a kid I was really afraid of water," they spoke softly, sending him a small smile, their eyes still a little glossy, but the fever was going down. "But as I grew older showers and baths became the only times where I felt safe," cuddling up to the daemon a little, just touching his broad chest, and feeling the closeness of the moment. "And sharing one with you now makes me wonder if there's a more safe place than right here and now."
Despite having to adjust to their skin on skin contact, it was actually really soothing. They really liked being close to Callan, and part of them wondered if they would ever get to be closer. But thoughts like that would be shut down and they looked down, just watching as their hand touched the firm muscles beneath his skin. "If you wanted .. we could go swimming sometime?" They asked, but they knew it perhaps wouldn't be the same for him. They just really wanted to make the daemon feel as good and fulfilled as what Saige felt when they were with him. "I mean, I can't swim, but I like sitting on the edge just fine," wasn't it clear that they were so willing to do anything for him? Maybe it was too obvious. And maybe the daemon found that annoying. "I talk too much, huh?"

Be more specific? They looked confused for a second before Callan continued. They had found that the daemon was getting more talkative day by day, and yet there would always be a part of Saige that was afraid that it was because he was getting bored with them in some regard. All of the suggestions surprised them a little. Were there really that many options? Swallowing they closed their eyes, hiding their face away in the nape of his neck. They just needed a minute or so to process all of the information. Callan was so considerate, and he did it so effortlessly. "I wouldn't want to ruin the experience for you," they finally spoke, leaning away to look at him with vulnerable eyes, their arms loosely around his shoulders. At this point they were practically just sitting in his lap.
"If it's too shallow, won't it just be boring for you?" They were quite clearly very set on it being about Callan. They already felt too much at the center of attention all of the time. Why couldn't they do something that the daemon wanted without him having to cater to them? He could be selfish all he wanted! "And I suppose it had to be heated in some way .. to make it like you remember it?" They weren't even sure if that was what Callan wanted. What did he want? Would he even want to be seen by a pool with them? "But then again, you're really busy with work, so it won't be for a while anyways; we'll have time to figure it out," they then decided. It was better than for them to embarrass themselves further.

Callan was right, they would just be floating around, but Saige clearly cared more about the experience for the daemon than the one they themselves would have. However the admittance made their cheeks turn bright red, looking down as they weren't really sure how to react. It wasn't that Callan could speak crudely, and some things did surprise them still. But this was so blunt and vulgar. And Saige for some reason felt a little jealous. Well not that they wanted to be fucked senseless, but they did want that closeness. However the way Callan spoke of it, they were worried that he wouldn't like them in that way. "I think the water's getting a little cold," they just spoke softly, not looking up to meet his eyes. They weren't even sure how to feel about this. "Maybe we should get up? I have to take my meds soon anyways," always a good excuse.
If the daemon agreed they would get up, taking a towel to wrap around their body, shivering a bit as the water had gotten cold, but they had barely noticed being so close to Callan. They once again wanted to apologize. They felt a little silly like this, but they managed to dry off and get dressed. It actually felt like the fever was broken and that they now just had to rest. Once they were done cleaning up after themselves, they moved back into the hotel room, taking their pills and swallowing them along with a few good gulps of water before sitting back down on the bed. They pulled the covers up close around them, almost as to hide away a little. Their mind was spinning a little. Did Callan not find them attractive enough to fuck them senseless? Or was it because he wasn't interested in that part in them?

Saige of course knew that being like this would annoy the daemon, but they couldn't really help how they felt about all of this. And Callan of course wanted to know what was going on. The seraph lifted their duvet, inviting the daemon under with them. If he joined they would move closer, "I just didn't expect that you .. I mean of course you .." Saige felt their heart breaking a little, but it was mostly because they weren't really anything to him. They were a warm body to hold close at night. They loved him. But they couldn't expect him to be only with them. That was stupid! But part of them had hoped to never really hear about others. "You were just so blunt about - you know .." They lowered their voice to a whisper, "sex."
Sex to Saige had always been a bit of a conundrum. Mostly because they were used to being used. Sex wasn't so much about pleasure - at least it hadn't ever truly been. And most of the times they chickened out. They had probably only been with a few, but they weren't sure as they hadn't ever been sober for it. It was just easier to let themselves be used to then have a place to stay the night, or maybe get some breakfast. "But you've already said that .. that you don't want that with me, and .." They truly felt like they were falling over their own words, shaking their head, "I'm just being stupid; please don't be angry." Their eyes welling up as they hid away their face in his warm chest. They didn't want to ruin what they had. They didn't want to upset the daemon when he had already made it very clear. And despite what Saige wanted, it was true that they didn't know much about daemons and sex with them.

Saige just felt how their cheeks got warmer the more Callan just spoke about it like it meant nothing. They felt so confused. Did Callan like them? Love them even? That felt like a bold assumption to make, but it was what the daemon was insinuating wasn't it? They honestly didn't know how to react, looking at the daemon as he spoke of them being incompatible and they shook their head, "please don't say that," they whispered softly. They hated how that made them feel, "I just .. I guess I was hoping-" but they cut themselves off swallowing with how dry their mouth felt from this. Sighing softly they just looked to Callan, "I guess I thought that maybe for once someone could like both my personality and my body." It was something very vulnerable to even admit to. They felt raw and open, and closing their eyes they frowned softly, "I didn't mean to be demanding; I was just having this fantasy in my head that .. that you'd want to some day," it felt hard to accept that it wouldn't ever happen. They wanted to try, but Callan didn't. They opened their eyes, looking at him with hurt eyes, "I wouldn't mind if you hurt me or was too rough .. I-I'm pretty tough .. and .. and-" their eyes were welling up a little. It wouldn't happen. It just wouldn't. And Saige knew that they would never get to be with someone like that. They would never get to experience what they had read about in books and seen in movies. "Can we just forget this? Please."

The argue made them shake their head no, "please don't tell me what I wan't or don't want," hadn't they had enough of being told what to do; what to say; what to think? Was what they were asking for really that horrible? And when they asked to just put a lid on this conversation, Callan decided not to stop. He wanted to talk about this, as if he was convincing the both of them that this would never happen. It was so harsh. His voice so stern and better knowing. "I don't care if I'll like it!" They just blurted out, their eyes fluid as they looked at Callan. They had never once raised their voice around him, never ever demanded anything from him, and now that they were asking for one small thing. One thing that they just wanted to try, they were being shut down before they even could reach that point. "I just .. I just want to be with you .. I want to make you feel good .. I don't care if it hurts or if I'll like it .. I just .. I just .." They just shook their head as they started crying softly. They were so frustrated. All they wanted to do was try and be closer. "You don't have to love me .. you don't even have to look at me .. I just want to know what it's like .. I want to feel what it's like being with someone I like; someone I choose." Were they letting it slip that they never really had had a choice before? Everything just seemed to happen and they never really got to say yes or no. "If it hurts and I don't like it, then that's fine; but I would've at least tried to feel wanted in some way, even if it's only for a few moments."

He caved in and Saige wasn't really sure what to say. But they didn't want to try right now. They still felt a little dizzy, and getting so worked up hadn't been a good idea. Nodding, because it was clear they weren't sure how to take those words. Maybe because they had hoped that perhaps the daemon had secretly wanted it too. But now it sounded more as if it was a chore he had to do. They just remained silent, cuddling up to him and closing their eyes. They needed some rest and if Callan had nothing more to add, they would soon enough fall asleep.
They weren't really sure for how long they slept, but when they woke up they actually felt a bit of clarity. The fever was gone and their muscles didn't feel as sore. Though one thing did hurt a bit, and that was their stomach. A little reluctantly they got out of bed, the floor a little cold after being under the covers for so long, but they made it over to the small fridge. They grabbed the sandwich that had been left inside, unpacking it and taking a bite. Their stomach rumbled and they sighed softly, moving over to sit by the desk, turning a little in the chair to hopefully look at the daemon asleep. It was still dark outside, so they guessed it was either really late or very early morning.

Saige hadn't wanted to be rude and just eat in bed, so they just sat on the chair, pulling their legs up as they just ate slowly. Just watching Callan they felt rather happy. Though part of them was also worried that they might've pushed him too hard. Watching as he came to, the question made them shake their head no. "I won't be able to eat all of this right now," they assured him. They ate about half of it, packing it up nicely and returning it to the fridge. They then moved back onto the bed, snuggling up under the covers, resting their head on his chest listening to his heart.
"I didn't mean to push you like that," they knew they weren't even allowed to apologize, let alone try it, but they at least wanted to say something about what they had talked about before. They had just been too emotional and sick to even really know how to take it all. "I guess I didn't really take into account that maybe you don't want me that way." They were remorseful in that regard. They had acted so selfish and demanding. It wasn't how they were. But being sick and upset hadn't helped much in that regard. "Don't you want to sleep some more? The day might be too long if you get up now," maybe it was also a hope that they could just lay here and cuddle up to one another. They knew that Callan liked the closeness and they moved a hand up and down the daemon's side in a gentle manner, just wanting to soothe him.

"I want you to stay in bed with me, but I also want you to get the rest that you need," they argued softly, kissing his chest a few places that they knew he liked to be kissed. They truly noticed the smallest of things; just how Callan sighed was sometimes a clue for them to follow and learn more about. Pulling their lips from his chest they looked to him with soft eyes, "I really like seeing you sleep," they admitted. Maybe it was weird, but it was something of comfort to them too. "It means that you're resting; and I like to see how relaxed you get," how his stern features softened up and his body felt soft and warm. It was just different, not better or worse, but a different side that not many had seen - or at least Saige was willing to bet a lot of money on that thought.
"Sometimes I wake up like this, but I stay in bed .. you let me hold you for a change, let me bring you some comfort and .. well maybe not physical protection, but at least something," they chuckled softly, kissing his chest once more. They liked being this close to him, especially when their body had gotten used to the intimacy and they could relax more. "I also really like how your hair gets a little messy," they truly noticed a lot, but they had also had the time to. Reaching a hand up, they touched his hair. It was much different from his own that was a bit bouncy. Callan's was soft in a different way, but the fibers were also very thick.

Saige smiled at the daemon's promise, feeling rather happy that they could spend a little time together now. It wasn't how it usually went, but they had found that some days Callan would be in the mood to cuddle, and other days he just wanted to get up and get ahead. They could respect both, but it was days like these that they looked forward to. The mention of Xavier probably showed on their face and the question probably came as a result of it. "No," they at least didn't think he was meaner than the flowers had been. He was just a quiet guy and they didn't mind that. "I guess him coming over is just making me sad .. because I know it means you have to leave soon," that was perhaps what bothered them the most. Looking to their hand that was currently entangled with Callan's they wondered if Xavier knew what was going on between them. Well, he had to, seeing as the room only had a bed and a couch.
"It helps a little since you gave me the ring again," they were rather grateful for it. Maybe it was just a way to keep tabs on them, maybe it was simply a replacement tag, but to them it felt like something else. Even if Callan wasn't wearing something, they felt like it was a symbol that they belonged to the daemon in that sense. They moved their free hand up his neck, massaging him gently, mainly just squeezing his skin. "He's sweet, but I don't think he wants to show that very much," they pondered. Perhaps that was just the trade of the business that Callan was in. That you had to be harsh and stoic all the time. "But I think he's having some cabin fever," the least they could do was perhaps argue that they could go for a walk, "would it be alright if we went out today? I could really use some new coloring pencils." They still really kept up with their art. Their grades were good as well, which was mainly due to the fact that they got so much time for it. Callan truly took good care of them.

"I know," they smiled softly, just continuing to touch him a little more while they had the opportunity. It was a little crazy to think of where all of this had started. They leaned in, kissing him along his chest and up to his neck. Being with Callan had made them a little more daring, but perhaps it was because he pushed for it. He wanted to see what they could do. They hummed at the mention of calling him awkward, "I guess I am too," they pointed out. The flowers had called them a freak, a weed, and even before that they hadn't ever really fit in anywhere. The only place that seemed to even be good for them was here with Callan, and they woke up every day feeling so grateful.
The mention of permission made them look down. They had thought so. And now they felt a little stupid, as that meant they had been the one forcing Xavier to stay inside so long. "I don't know why .. I mean .. I guess I thought after all of this with G-," they stopped themselves, closing their eyes and taking deep breaths. No, he didn't want to say that name. It was a disgusting name and they never wanted to hear it or say it ever again. "I-I guess I assumed it would be best for me to stay put."

"I guess I didn't think about it like that," they admitted. Truthfully, at the beginning they had barely wanted to step foot out on the terrace. But they were slowly coming around to it, and today they thought maybe they wanted to be brave. It could have its drawbacks, and they worried that they would just burden Xavier more than they wanted to. "I just .. It feels weird to have someone just do anything for me," they struggled a lot with that. They didn't have an assertive personality. Of course they had gotten better at stating their needs and wants, but it was different than giving orders. Touching along his chest they just thought about it all for a second before sighing. "You'll be late if you don't get up now," they reminded him, moving off so that they didn't have to be moved.
Sending him a soft smile they just sat in the bed, looking at Callan as he got dressed. The seraph felt almost selfish for wanting to look at him, but there was just something about him that they couldn't look away from. He was handsome and strong, and Saige had to admit that they had found a lot of beauty radiated off of the daemon, even if he himself would deny it. Once the daemon was dressed they got out of bed, moving closer to just adjust the collar and a few minor details. It wasn't anything special, but it was clear that the seraph still felt that need to be useful. "Be careful," they spoke softly. They always told him that when he left, because they wanted to see him return safe and sound. Wrapping their arms around him briefly until the door was knocked on and they had to let go.
Watching the daemon go, they always had a hurt within them, but they knew he would come back. He had to. Seeing Xavier they smiled softly, "good morning," they said before looking down and heading to the bathroom to get ready. They liked getting dressed on their own, the door usually locked to make sure nobody looked. Callan was allowed to see them like that, but he was the exception and not the rule. Once they had gotten dressed in some more weather appropriate clothing they went to eat a bit of breakfast which just consisted of the rest of the sandwich along with some medicine, they checked their pencils. They weren't going to use all of Callan's money, but once in a while they allowed themselves to use a little bit, just to maintain the things they already had. Callan had given them a card, but they rarely used it and weren't really aware of how much was on it much less if there was a limit on it. Heading out to Xavier on the balcony, they grabbed slightly at the hem of their dress, "would you .. like to go out today?" They asked, unsure of what the reaction would be.
