She knew that it just mattered how their little girl felt, but Buffy knew that she needed this. She needed to have that piece of paper to show that she was indeed the mother, and that she was proud of it.
Pushing him back on the bed was easy, mostly because it so often felt like their bodies were in sync. She saw him not only as the father of her child and her chosen lover. She saw him as more than that. They connected on a level deeper than emotions, and the bond had only made that feeling stronger. While her words were serious, there was a tenderness to them. The need to let him know that just because something was holding them back right now, she wasn't giving up hope. His reply made her heart beat faster, and as he quote on quote sealed the deal, she sighed against his lips, laying down on him to be closer to him. Returning the kiss that made her whole body squirm with excitement and joy. "But just because we have to wait with conceiving ... Doesn't mean we can't practice," she whispered in a purr, running her hands down his sides, feeling her own body eager to feel all of his.

He could tell where this was going and he didnt mind it one bit. As she laid down on him, he wrapped his arms around her loosely as her purr made him groan softly under his breath. "I know my love. But we stand at the same issue as we did the first time... the lack of protection," he whispered, running his hand up her back in a gentle motion. As much as his body easily seemed to give in to her touch and how it wanted to give her what she wanted, they had to be wiser. He kissed her lips tenderly, before he made a regretful sigh but that was just because he didnt want to make her feel led on. "I just want to be sure that there wont be a child before you're ready," he said, lifting his hand from her back to place against the side of her head, moving some hair behind her ear.

She chuckled a bit at his reply, because she knew very well. She knew they didn't have any contraceptive, but she couldn't help herself sometimes. It was as if he was a magnet and she was just a piece of metal that, because of the laws of physics, needed to be close to him. However she hadn't been suggesting another round just now, she was merely stating a fact. But she could see where he could've misinterpreted it. Sighing she returned his tender kiss. His words sounding almost bitter to her, because it was so clear that they both wished for another child. The sheer happiness that had come with Saoirse far outshined the fears, at least in her eyes. "I know love, but we still have all of the night and most of tomorrow," she said, smiling at him, a spark of mischievousness in her eyes. Leaning down, she kissed his neck in soft pecks, knowing she was driving both of them mad, but she knew her limits. "Besides, there's so much more to sex than penetration, I think we could find at least a few things to do when we don't have any protection," she teased him, sighing against his neck. She needed to stop, mostly because they needed to head out now if they wanted to get something from the shops as well.

She sighed at his words, but she knew that they had to. She was looking forward to seeing the lights, holding his hand in the darkness and just feeling the world around them buzz with life. Nodding at his question, she leaned down, kissing him once more before she had to get off of him. "I think I know," she said, getting off of him to walk to her small wardrobe. She had decided to go for a good pair of jeans as well as a thick sweater - mostly because it was still cold outside. Removing the clothes she was wearing, she took her time getting dressed.

Buffy knew that sometimes both of them could forget reality when they looked at each other. It was sometimes a dangerous game, one that showed how much they cared for one another, but made them forget about everyone else. He came over to her as she had finished getting dressed, chuckling a bit at his words. "Only half as good as you," she said, taking his arm. Moving out to the hallway, she put on her jacket and shoes, remembering a hat, a scarf as well as some mittens to keep her warm. Then they headed out.
The street outside was bustling with people as soon as they got to the central district. It was fun to see how people's lives differed so much from their own. "Weather isn't too bad," she remarked, smiling as she looked at some windows they were passing by.

She was right, the weather outside wasnt too bad. It was the last month of winter and soon spring would begin and everything would start to gain colour. Grey days would turn to sunny days and the trees would grow saplings. But the only thing he thought about was that they wouldnt have to worry about her freezing.
His eyes followed hers to the windows, he always thought that it was quite peculiar that most shops would display something that wasnt really that necessary. Like the tv shops would put out their best and quite expensive tv's, with the proposition that there was actually a sale going on. "We can go to the store now, or go on the way home?" he asked as he looked back at her. It was nice that some grocery stores always were open no matter what the time was.

She felt a little giddy going out together, holding his arm as they walked. Just being together like this was a great feeling in it of itself. His suggestion about going to the store made her shrug. "On the way home, I guess, that way we don't have to carry it around," she said, smiling at him. Looking ahead, she saw the lights in the distance. It was like being a child once more, being fascinated by the decorations and the lovers parading under the lights. "It's beautiful," she said with a warm smile on her lips.

"You are staring," she giggled as she looked at him. "I like it when you do that," she smiled, leaning up to kiss his cheek lovingly before continuing to walk beneath the lights. "When I was a little girl, my parents used to take me and Xander here each year," she said, smiling at the memory. [color=#9370DB]"We would each get a candied apple, because it was around our birthday, and my father would hold my mother a little closer on those days," she said. It was perhaps the first time since her mother's death that her thoughts hadn't turned sad from the mention.

She chuckled as she shook her head a little. She didn't need a candied apple, those were sweet, but now she had something she liked a lot more, and that was him. "I don't need a candied apple anymore, but I want to bring Saoirse once she gets old enough to understand these lights," she said, smiling at him gently. Closing her eyes as he kissed her temple she smiled happily. His question about her father made her chuckle a little. "My father used to say that it was because my mother needed that comfort, but I believe that it was him that needed it; It was almost like pinching himself to see if he was dreaming or alive," she said with a smile on her lips. "My father is many things, but he loved my mother, he loved her through and through, and he knew that one day, she would have to walk under the lights without him," she said, looking down with a small smile.

Buffy sighed at Baal's words. She wanted nothing more than her father to meet his first grandchild, but the truth could hurt. "My father has always been a strange man, Belial, and he probably would not like the thought of me being with you," she said. It was a bitter truth, but a truth nonetheless. Breathing out she looked at Baal, mostly because she didn't want him to be offended.

"But he could if he saw her marks," she whispered, closing her eyes as he kissed her forehead. She loved her daughter, found her so beautiful in every way; she had even inherited faint white marks that looked opposite of Baal's pitch black swirls. Breathing out she looked at her daemon. "Saoirse was born out of love, she is pure and she has not even a single evil intention in her," she said. "And yet, people might take one glance at her and decide purely on her looks - It worries me," she explained.

Buffy smiled at his words about Saoirse looking like her, because it was true, but the girl's eyes were those of Baal. "I know, my love, but we need to be weary of these things," she said. Maybe she was just being overprotective but she had fought so hard to keep that little girl in their lives.

She chuckled a little at his words, but as he looked down at her, she stood still. His smile faded, but she could see the spark in his eyes, how he saw her right now. As he leaned in for a kiss, she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer as she returned how his lips moved against hers. Once again it was as if the world around them didn't matter anymore, and she sighed against his lips. "You've sure become more brave," she teased him softly, giving him a sweet peck.

Buffy smiled at the mention of their bond, because it truly made her happy. Frowning a little she looked down to his chest, just standing in his arms for a while. Her eyes moved slowly back to look at him once more. "Did you ever think that I would run away from you?" she asked, not sure if she would like hearing the answer. She kissed his chin softly, closing her eyes as she listened to the world around her. It was such a nice evening, and the world was alive.

She chuckled at his words, looking at him as she kept her arms around him. Would anyone even bat an eye at how close they were despite their obvious differences? "It seems my stubbornness knows no limits," she said with a warm smile on her lips. It was true and yet so strange that a simple meeting at a coffee shop had been all they needed to spark all of this. However Buffy had not been able to just walk away, it was as if Faeth had guided her back to him, knowing where her destiny lied. Following his pointing finger, she hummed to herself as she considered the shape. "A friendly face," she said, frowning as that wasn't what she had been wanting to say, but it was what she said. She looked at Baal, her flames bright yet a little distant. "A small boy that is going to bring us happiness and troubles," she mumbled. Was she going crazy? She just felt like it was too real.
