“I’m sure any man would have nothing but the intention of making you happy. And that’s not a bad thing,” he said in quite an optimistic tone, but then he frowned a little. “Doesnt mean I want that though... I am yours afterall,” he added, smiling a little at his own words as he started to kiss her knuckles.
He knew she wouldnt have accepted him speaking of defeat, but he had chosen to word it like that anyway. Because to him it seemed silly that they somehow hadnt had the time for him to propose. “I just want it to be perfect,” he said in an apologetic tone as he looked back at her quite seriously. Their binding of their souls had been memorable and he only wanted to try and match the excitement and intimacy that had been so present in the memory of it all. “The thought melts my heart. Especially if she would look as cute as she does when she waddles around,” he said with a soft chuckle. He leaned a little back against the fenix, though he didnt want to squish her. “You would be my wife. I think that would make my life complete,” he said in a soft tone but there was some vulnerability in his tone. All his life he had been treated like a puppet to do tricks, but if he knew that this would be the outcome, he would go through it all again. But he couldnt let her see hiw deeply it truly affected him. Though she probably already knew from their bond being as strong as it was. “Almost complete... I still want a house full of small Buffy’s running around to call you mommy and me daddy,” he said in a more cheerful tone, turning his body to cup her face in his hand. “Maybe having a second pair of small feet wouldnt be so bad,” he mumbled sweetly as he leaned in to greet her lips with his. He kept the kiss tender and sweet, more focused on the emotion it brought him and how he seemed to feel a bit of that raw connection of their bond when their lips interwined like this.

“Guess I’ll have to up my planning then.” He said with a soft smile, but he knew there was a seriousness to her words. Not that he minded if she were to propose, though he probably try and find some way to counter-propose to keep it traditional. There was just something about the thought of marrying the one he loved on their own terms rather than having the forced marriages that most definitely had tried to keep them apart once they were discovered. Simeon’s rule had ended, but his following was still adamant on sticking to the old ways that had been crudely enforced by the deceased summoner.
He knew there would always be some sort of risk to them if they wanted more pregnancies in the future, but he had to admit that their bond, despite the things they had gone through still seemed to be as strong as the day it was formed. It made him feel like they wouldnt have to worry as much as they had during their first child, but chances were that he would definitely worry enough for the both of them anyway.
He leaned in to the kiss and placed his arms on her sides, only to wrap them around her as she pulled in for another kiss. The tender dance of their lips made his heart ache a little from the comfort he felt - But it was a somewhat pleasant feeling.
Her whisper made him scoff as he closed his eyes when their foreheads connected, “I suppose it would only be fair,” he said in a thoughtful tone before he chuckled. Her next words caught him a little by surprise, mostly because it made him so happy. He cupped her face in his hands and gently nuzzled his nose against hers. “We’ve got time on our side, my love,” he whispered as he kept nuzzling his nose against hers, chuckling a little under his breath as he smiled sweetly, “But we might turn into sponges if we dont hurry up and finish this bath,” he warned her, leaning away to look at her face with adoring eyes. Maybe he was considering the life of a sponge as long as it gave him a few more seconds to look at her.

“Being a sponge with you? Sounds perfect to me,” he played along though he meant his words despite it just being a playful exchange. The short sweet kiss made him sigh as he followed her in washing off, making sure none of them had any soap water on them. He dried off rather quickly before he looked at her with a soft smile, wrapping the towel around his waist. He leaned down as she cleaned the tub to kiss her temple before making his leave to get dressed - Which was just some underwear and a pair of trousers. He went to the kitchen to start cooking Buffy’s breakfast, finding a few eggs before he looked into the fridge. He decided to try and do something he had seen Aiden do and soon he was cutting a few different vegetables before throwing them in a bowl together. He cracked the eggs down into the bowl and started to mix it around. He found the spices he had seen her use but as he looked at then, he reconsidered.
It was then he realized that Buffy stood in the doorframe, looking at her before he noticed the makeup. He couldnt help but smile and nod at her approvingly, “You look beautiful,” he complimented her before he found a pan and placed it on the stove. He sliced just a little bit of butter to make sure the eggs wouldnt stick to the pan, which made him remember that they had been speaking about getting new pans soon. “This is an experiment. It may not be as good as Aiden’s,” he said with a chuckle, looking at the egg-mixture.

“Sexy?” He asked her with a raised eyebrow before he shook his head and chuckled a little bit. He knew he had good looks, but he couldnt really think of himself looking sexy doing anything. He noticed her blush, making him narrow his eyes shortly, like he somehow had read her thoughts, but he had no idea what she was thinking off. “I guess I’m trying to match you,” he then said with a soft smile as he whisked the eggs around to make sure the vegetables were mixed well. He smiled at her promise and poured the eggs onto the pain before he just waited. Aiden had told him to always do the heat on low to allow the eggs to become an omelette. For a guy that didnt eat anything but the souls of others, he put a lot of effort into listening and learning from the hybrid.
Her suggestion made him think before he nodded a few times, “We’ll have time for that,” he said with a smile before he looked up from the pan to look at her. He gently pinched her dress to feel the fabric between his fingers. “You look really good in this,” he said in a soft tone before making a deep sigh. The things she could make him feel just by doing these small things like picking s certain outfit or put on a bit of makeup.

He just shook his head at her, finding it hard to believe that she hadnt surpassed him in every sense already. But he did also think that she was the better half of him and she probably thought the same about him. Her dress did look very good on her but he had always liked her style and how she kept it odd in a good sense - It was refreshing from all the other people who looked the same - Well, him included with his plain fashion sense. “I couldnt warm you in public like I do best... well, unless we plan on being fined,” he said with a shrug, sending her a cheeky smile.
But just as then it seemed that the buble had to be bursted and her question reminded him of the phasing and her screams of pain. He frowned a little to himself as he folded the eggs together. “I’ll call her in a bit, right after I’ve made your breakfast,” he assured her before he leaned over to kiss her forehead. And he didnt lie. As soon as he had finished the eggs and served them, he went to call his sister and tell her what had happened. He felt the concern come back, but it probably wouldnt go away till they knew what was going on.

“Well, I definitely didnt plan this to be without affectionate gestures,” he assured her but he understood that she wasnt just talking about going out tonight. It had just seemed better to be safe than sorry and as much as he hated to not be able to touch or hold her, he put her safety before his own selfish needs. Didnt mean that he wouldnt steal a kiss or the opportunity to brush his fingers over her hand when they were out. “I want to wait it out just a little bit longer while the new leader is getting comfortable,” he said, wanting to reach out and touch her face if it hadnt been that he had to focus on making her food.

He couldnt help but sound a little anxious as he told the happenings, expressing how he think it would affect Saoirse in a negative way if she were to see it. The toddler had already seen enough and piling on with scary happenings could harm the child’s development. He nodded to himself as she said she would try, he sincerely thanked her. They had a weird relationship that didnt seem that close on the surface, but Baal didnt dislike his sister - In fact he would go as far to admit that he did care for her and Amos, because the both of them had been quite helpful with Saoirse. Her words about the new leader made him scoff before he chuckled, “Killing him would probably just only bring someone worse to the role. Wasnt he young anyway?” He asked as he ran a hand through his hair and checked up on Buffy. He leaned a little against the doorframe as he looked at the fenix with soft eyes.

“Give it time. From what I know, most daemons didnt like things the way they were. And you killing Simeon like that has definitely made the other leaders wonder where your limits lie,” he said a little hopeful, but he was also just trying to distract his own mind for a little while. There had been talk of him taking over Simeon’s spot, but ultimately, the successor had to be someone who know the ropes and Baal wasnt interested in leading anyone either way. He had made his choice to see just how much time he could spare to spend with his family, even stepping down from the rank he had to work at the temple instead. The work there wasnt always easy but it did give him more time with his family. “We’ll keep low,” he said before she bid her farewell and ended the call.

He returned to Buffy and smiled softly at her as he placed a hand gently on her shoulder, “Did you like it?” He asked, touching her cheek gently. He exhaled deeply and looked towards the windows as he thought of how to explain. “As I thought, it’s not something we know about... But Alyssa will try and look through the archives, hopefully there could be someone having written something down, about an experiement or even just a small note,” he explained, making a small shrug. It wasnt certain that they would get any answers, but he didnt want to lose hope. “But we may have to post-pone any activity that could speed up your heartrate,” he said, feeling the words a little bitter in his mouth.

Oh how they thought alike in the manner of how they could have killed time. He would have loved to just be in bed with her and make sure that there would be a child in her before the day was over. Just the thought of it made him feel tingles down his spine, but they couldnt challenge the artifact and he loved spending time with her outside of the bed too. Her question made him sigh as he rubbed his thumbs against her back. They could do many things, but they hadnt been able to since Saoirse had been born, so his mind felt a little empty on ideas. “A game could be interesting. But you cant get too excited if you win,” he teased her before he leaned in to leave a soft peck on her lips. He didnt want to let go of her yet but he knew he had to. The world just seemed smaller and safe when he held her in his arms and felt hers around him too. He moved away when he felt like they had to and went to go look for some games. They hadnt gotten to dust them off since Saoirse arrived, so looking at them, he felt a little nostalgic, and maybe a little excited for the fact that it would be the first time they played in their own home.

Her choice made him raise his eyebrows but he nodded approvingly, her question made him raise his eyebrow a little, “What I’m thinking off?” He asked with a small smile creeping up on his lips. He followed her to the table and helped her set it up, “I’m excited to play,” he admitted, before she made her choice. He looked at the colours before he made a small sigh and picked out the red colour. He then went to set up his pieces before he looked at her with his smile growing just a little, “Do you remember those rainy days on the couch? Juno would run around and play with her toys and you would lie in my arms because I kept worrying you would freeze?” He asked before he chuckled and shook his head, thinking it was the nostalgia from looking at games that had gotten to him.
