Well isn't this an odd conglomerate?

"I do belong with him!" he said, raising his voice as he was now more frustrated and angry than ever, "who made you the judge of a relationship that has nothing to do with you? You are a bitter, old and lonely woman so scared that someone might beat the odds and find something real in one another." His words were vile back, but he had more in him than that. However, acting out and fighting was more his cousin's style than his, so he kept it to the verbal scolding. "No wonder that Josette is stunted the way she is - She's lonely because you can't seem to let go of her," he said, gritting his teeth, his mouth starting to hurt from how tense it was. "You know, sometimes I wonder what is sickest; Me and Eden's relationship seen through your eyes; Or the feelings you have for Josette that are bordering on incestuous!" It wasn't like he hadn't seen the way the two sneaked around. He knew they shared a bed, shared bath time. "C'mon Kareema, you think we are blind to your feelings for that girl? You are no better than Eden and I."

Her silence he could only take as fact that he had hit a nerve in her. Something that she perhaps was in denial for. He barely had time to continue his words as she struck him, her nails scratching his cheek up, his head moving with the fast motion. His warm blood rushed to the surface and out the cuts in his cheek. He wasn't sure what burnt more; the hit or the cuts in his face. Her screaming and shoving made him stumble backwards, almost too stunned to really react or speak. Before he knew it he was out in the hallway, leaning back against the wall as he tried catching his breath.
"Fine! Be in denial then! Hurt everyone around you until you make everyone miserable, because that is the only thing that seems to make you happy!" he finally yelled, hurrying off to his own room. Of course it didn't take long for a servant to come to his room to check up on the cuts.

Romeo grit his teeth as the servant cleaned his wounds. The admittance didn't help. Damn that hysterical vampyress. "I can't leave the house like this," he said, thinking it through. He took a deep breath before sighing. "Are any of you trained to sew?" He asked. It would have to be the next best thing. But he did worry about scarring. He didn't need his face tarnished by that vile woman. "Or perhaps a doctor that might be discreet about this," he muttered. He just felt rather helpless right now. He hated that Eden was gone, fighting back either crying or screaming - which one he wasn't too sure of.

Romeo sighed, but it made sense. He couldn't fault them for that, but he appreciated the honesty. The thought of notifying Eden wasn't nice, but he also knew that a doctor hired by the vampyre could be trusted. And he didn't want this injury to be found out by the outside world. "Call for the private one .. Eden's going to find out sooner or later, but he can't do much when he's on a plane," was all he said. He could take the confrontation when it came. "I just don't want scars from this," he said quite seriously.

Romeo was left alone for a while, turning his head to look himself in the mirror. Eden would've strangled Kareema if he was here to see what had happened. The tea was brought to him, taking a sip, but not liking the taste all that much. He however downed it, knowing it would help once the doctor arrived. She was always rather kind, and very hard working he had found. "Hello doc," he returned the greeting, but had to limit his way of speaking as it hurt his cheek a lot. Not that he didn't want to be more polite. He didn't watch the tools, knowing it wouldn't help with him focusing on sitting still. Her question didn't surprise him but he sighed softly, "Miss Acton happened." That was all he had to say, looking ahead and letting the doctor do her job.

The cuts definitely didnt look like an accident but rather someone's doing. She didnt need to look too close to see it. She started off by cleaning off the area, frowning lightly at his answer. "Argument?" she asked, mostly because she worried, but obviously it was not her place to know if he didnt want her to. "Where's Eden?" she added because he usually would've been here when she came by. Threading her needle she started off with the biggest gash, guiding him through before she did anything, and when she did, she would make sure he was aware. The last thing she wanted was to do something he wouldnt like, though when she was sewing him back together she was concentrating a lot.

"Something like that," he wouldn't call it an argument as much as it was an outright verbal fight. Asking about Eden didn't surprise him, but what was he truly meant to say? "He left earlier for a business trip," he said, listening as the doctor explained what was going to happen. He wasn't the biggest fan of needles, but at least he wouldn't be able to see much.

Once she finished him up, she placed a protective adhesive over to make sure he'd be able to speak and not feel a tear at the stitches. "You should drink seraph tears. You already heal fast, but this way you'd be fine in a day or two." She said as she packed away her needles and collected a few wipes of blood in a small bag that she handed a servant who left with them. "As for scarring. You wont get anything noticeable. Well, you might notice a faint something if you stare at it for long, but regular humans wont notice any change." she said, hoping that was good enough. "Are you safe here?"

The stitching wasn't good. Romeo couldn't remember ever having been stitched, so this definitely didn't feel pleasant. However he powered through it, and she was rather good at giving him small breaks to breathe in. Her recommendation he would take to heart, as that was perhaps a good option. He was sure the servants could get that for him.
As for the other things, he felt worried. Humans wouldn't notice the change, but that meant Eden would? He nodded, signaling he was taking in the information, though his mind started to flood with worry. What if Eden didn't like that his face was now torn up. Of course the vampyre didn't want him to be hurt, but scars to Romeo wasn't often viewed in a positive light. But then the doctor asked him something that made him frown rather surprised. What was it with everyone and their obsession about his safety and his life? "This place is the safest for me right now," he admitted, breathing out in a sigh as he pushed himself to his feet. He looked at himself in the mirror, hating seeing how his face looked so covered up by the patch. It was only for a couple of days, he reminded himself. "Miss Acton has left, and I doubt she'll return any time soon."

"Sorry," he said, taking a deep breath as he watched her pack up her things. She bid him good night and he nodded, "you too, thank you doc," he said politely. It wasn't her whom he was upset with.

Romeo had gone to bed, though he was doing the thing that he shouldn't have; Started reading in bed. He had been rather consumed by his current book as he heard all of the noise and even something breaking. He frowned, getting out of bed and pulling on his robe just to cover up more; He was wearing some boxers beneath it though. Passing a servant that hurried off he frowned, stopping at Kareema's door that was wide open, seeing how she was hastily packing everything up. "What are you doing?" he asked confused.

Romeo felt stunned as he watched the neurotic and hysterically angry woman pack her bags. He saw she was calling someone and it seemed liked they picked up. He was confused at first, but then he realized who she was calling. Eden. He felt his eyes start to sting because he had not wanted the vampyre to worry while he was gone on his trip. And yet Kareema seemed furious enough that he wouldn't want to risk getting hurt once more. Calling the doctor a second time surely couldn't end well.
However her vile words were hitting him. Especially now that he was alone, watching the phone fly through the room, smashing upon impact with the wall. She then spoke to him, his head snapping back to look at her. Never had he imagined he would hear something so vicious from the normally cool and tempered vampyress. "And you think I don't know that?" he replied, his eyes filled with hurt as he looked at Kareema. Oh, he had been contemplating his own mortality for way too long for someone his age. "You really think that I wouldn't do anything to change who I was born as? You really refuse to believe that I am not aware that I'll age, become ugly and the fear of Eden leaving me is crushing me from the inside!?" He stepped in to her room. What was she going to do, hurt him again? Well she could go ahead, he was so done with this attitude from her.
"What did I ever do to you, Kareema? Why do you despise me enough to constantly act this way?" he wanted to know. This had been slowly brewing for a while now and he just wanted answers.

Loralei. It all came back to that vile vampyress in the end, didn't it? However Romeo had nothing to say, besides there was no evidence, so she was just shooting blanks at this point. But the dig she came for with him trying to weasel his way in to this family for his own benefit made him furious. "You think this is about family names and hierarchy!? Is that all you fucking care about!?" He yelled, shaking his head no. "Josette is better off without that despicable monster anyways," he just said.

Romeo grit his teeth, especially as she moved forward, grabbing on to his collar and making assumptions. It was more complicated than that. "That's not what I meant, but sure, paint me as a villain, you're just happy that you can hate me now," was he wrong in that? But then she started taking it further and he had to put his foot down, "Do you really think I would be able to hurt that sweet and innocent girl?" Her mother might've been the most vile woman on the planet, but Josette had so much of Eden's kindness that Romeo saw her as a part of his family. "Don't you ever compare me to my cruel uncle, you hear me!" He was not one for violence, he never had been. In fact he felt like that scared kid again. The one that had been used and abused, and now blamed for what had happened.
But her more serious tone made him scoff, holding back the tears as she didn't deserve to watch those. She would perhaps relish in his pain. "If I don't belong here, then there's no place for me in this world," he stated, looking down as his shoulders were shaking. Go back to his family? All they wanted was to ruin him and use him for their own gain. "Is that what you want? You want me to die? Because I can assure you that if I go back to those monsters I won't live," it was the harsh reality. Sure, they wouldn't kill him, but they would break his spirits, snuff out any remaining of his personality. "I might not belong here, but I belong with Eden; I belong with the only person who has ever shown me genuine care, showed me what love is and what it means to protect one another." He wouldn't budge on that. She might've been able to plant her seeds before, but he was past that. She was just lashing out to protect herself.
"But what would you do? If I left, would you try and marry Eden? Perhaps his daughter? You are not a part of this family any less any me," - "Except, yes you are," lifting his hand with the ring to look at it, making her know that he was engaged to marry and that was a promise that wouldn't be so easily broken.

His hand was smacked away and the hurtful words had all been thoughts he had had when he was with Eden. All those worries about pleasing him enough, and yet he knew the vampyre loved him. It had been proven time and time again, why else did it feel so good when they were finally together? He opened his mouth to retaliate, but just then the buzzing was heard. He grit his teeth, leaving the room to go find his phone.
He found it back in his room, frowning confused as the caller ID was not whom he expected it to be. However he dried his eyes, picking up the phone. "Kurtis?" he said, clearly sounding confused. His cousin never really called him unless there was something wrong, but he felt a little scared of what might meet him on the other end of the line.

He was actually surprised that the phone call for once didn't start with Kurtis yelling or saying something spiteful. He took a deep breath, but there was a pride to be found as his cousin dubbed Eden his man. Yes. Eden was his. And that reminder he had really needed. He wasn't sure how to help right now, but the additional pleading made him consider his words rather wisely. "Eden's out of town this week," he said, though it was clear he was saddened by that fact more than anyone. He really needed the vampyre's embrace and his calming demeanor. But for now he would have to stand in for him. "Can you stop by? Maybe tomorrow evening?" he asked, because frankly right now he needed rest and he wouldn't get it if he had to be the voice of reason for his cousin as well. He looked towards his door, uncertain if he heard Kareema's stuff being moved or not. "Just for a civil drink and maybe a talk?"
