He probably should have done something rational like go home or not do exactly what he was doing right now. And yet his body moved on his own. She just reminded him so much of Laure which was a great comfort now, more than ever, even if he hated his sister and was happy she was gone. It didnt mean that she couldnt still comfort him, the good parts of being with her. He was greedy. He would rather regress into doing what he had done so many times before than sit and feel the hurt. He was shown to her room, the receptionist calling Eve’s room to let her know who was coming. He knocked on her door, looking rather vulnerable and hurt. There was just no point in hiding it. He didnt care anymore. Well, he would never stop caring about Romeo but he could push him away and ignore him till the obsessive part of him would eventually force him to go find the lycan.

It was weird and twisted and hadnt he been so self absorbed then he would have realized that it was a terrible idea. And yet it was like she just welcomed him with open arms. Letting him in her room, guiding him to sit on the bed. He was just quiet, quite distressed and feeling hollow. Yeah, hollow was a good word. Like Romeo had torn his heart out like he had believed Eden had done to him. Now they were both just heartless and doomed. He didnt answer her whisper, though it was almost innocent that she thought it was her fault. He just didnt know what to do. He was quiet even at her plea, staring into nothing. Until he seemingly moved. He remembered what she had said when she had confronted him. “What did you mean when you said that you wanted to get to know me?” He asked. It was peculiar to him now. Was she looking for a friend? No, it couldnt just be that. A friendship wasnt worth blackmailing, it was the easiest thing to achieve. So what had she meant? He looked at her with vulnerable eyes. Almost pleading. Just to make him not hurt.

She didnt have to play shy nor coy with him. And whatever she said, he ate up even if it was the truth or a blatant lie. She caressed his cheek and he just leaned into the touch, finding the cold familiar and welcome. It wasnt the warmth he was so used to from Romeo. And that was a good thing right now. She spoke of jealousy and the mere mention of Romeo made him hurt which showed on his expression.
She was so soft and kind to him. He let her move onto his lap, his hands moving onto her thighs as he looked at her. “Do you promise?” He asked softly, looking around her face. He leaned in, pressing his lips onto hers, his hands moving up her thighs before his nails softly dug into her skin.

She returned the kiss and her moan was soft and sweet. She was so far from Romeo as she could get in every way, so in a way he would press on even if this wasnt what his heart desired. His heart was broken, it couldnt know what it wanted now. He was definitely more rough in nature being an old vampyre but her reminder made him loosen his grip, muttering a soft sorry.
“I’m old. I was raised in the far north of scandinavia where the Parish has it’s deepest roots.” He said as he just said the first thing that came to mind. “I’m normally more well put together.” He said, which was true. It wasnt every day that his heart was shattered, to then be mended by some secretary he barely knew. “I’m thorough. I know that your name isnt really Eve Summers. But I cant find your real name.” He said, just to let her know that he had been onto her. But now he didnt care.

Something she wouldnt just be able to find out? He wasnt sure if she was interrogating him now or just really curious. He however couldnt help but mention what he knew and as she spoke of the man she loved, he thought of the man he loved. The one lycan that would have his rotten and broken heart forever. He couldnt go through with this. Even if it was what Romeo already believed. It didnt make it right. He moved his hands up to grab her wrists, taking her hands off him if she was still touching him. “Fine. I fell in love with a persistent mortal who just wouldnt give up. He made me feel what real love was, but I had a sister who believed there was no such thing. She believed that unlovable people like her and I, should never find love.” He said, speaking rather freely and unfiltered. “She made me choose and I chose love. I didnt want her, I wanted the stubborn brat of a mortal.” He said, before his expression just turned to pain and he began sobbing. He felt like nothing without Romeo. Wealth or status didnt mean shit to him.

Eve moved off of him and he didnt even realize how she was looking at him until she asked something that he had not expected at all. Did he love Laure? “No. I never loved her. I could never love her.” He just said, frowning, his sobs stopping rather quick as he maybe had expected for her to comfort him about Romeo. Now she seemed different and it changed the whole mood. “She’s dead.” He said, because surely this stranger couldnt know? Why was she so interested anyway?

No vampyres didnt just die of old age. But she seemed so invested. Did she know Laure? He did notice her hand behind the table. He wasnt dumb. And she seemed almost scared of him. It made him curious. His crueler side was coming forth the more she tried to dig into his past. “How did she die?” He repeated, getting up as he frowned. “Minutes ago you were all sweet and kind, getting on my lap, moaning at my touch.” He remarked, stepping closer. He reached out and grabbed her face under her neck. “Now you’re asking questions about my sister as if you knew her. Who are you?” He asked. No, she was far too curious to just be some stranger.

Her eyes welled up and he was confused by that. Why was she about to cry? It frustrated him. Then her eyes did something weird, shedding their colour or rather, it became apparent that she had hidden her true eyecolour and once he saw those eyes, he realized. The colour could never be mistaken and her features shining through. Another pure Parish. Her whisper did nothing to move him as he was stunned to realize that Laure had only made more little spawns of her cruel love, just to have them show up and torment him over and over. “I…” he said, gritting his teeth, leaning in to whisper it in her ear. The phone wouldnt be able to pick it up as a vampyre’s whisper wasnt picked up by electronics. “.. killed her.”
Then he looked at her with a warning gaze. “You are not mine.” He said, straight up. Even if she was, he would never let her prove it. It would never be known to the public, that was for sure.

And just then, the door was unlocked and opened Judah hurrying in to shove Eden away from Avila, pulling her into his protective embrace. Eden was put at a distance and looked at them, to realize that they were twins.

Judah wasnt sure what to think. He finally got to see his father and yet he knew how Avila had been hurt by him as if she meant nothing to him. Her cries made him turn his attention to her, kissing her head softly. “I wont let him hurt you.” He whispered into her scalp before he looked at Eden with an angry expression. The older vampyre scoffed. Like he would even consider sticking around or remotely care about finding out that he had even more children with the sister he hated witg a burning passion right now. He had better things to do. At least he couldnt feel right now how his heart was bleeding. He grabbed his jacket and put it on. “You can tell the whole world about Romeo and I. I dont care.” He admitted before he left them. Judah didnt understand that parting sentence, but he kissed Avila’s hair and whispered sweet words into her scalp to try and calm her.

Once Edenwas gone, Judah could finally turn all his attention to Avila. Rather than saying anything, he guided her to the bed, having her sit down as he went and sat down behind her. He wrapped his arms around her and pushed her close, though she was free to move, he wasnt constricting her at all. “Come, deep breaths with me.” He spoke to her softly, making the deep breaths so she cound mimmick them. He also softly rocked the both of them back and forth to soothe her. Anything to make her calm down.

When she calmed down, he smiled softly, rubbing her a little softly with his palms, just waiting for her to feel ready to speak. She seemed to spill her whole plan, Judah frowning lightly as it had seemed elaborate. “I sort of guessed that something was up with the lycan. All the other interns are gossiping about him.” He said in a calm voice but then she said sometging that made him grit his teeth. Eden had killed their mother. That wasnt what Judah had hoped for when they had gotten here but he also wasnt surprised. “We should avenge her. When you are feeling better. I’m also angry about how he terrorized you. You dont deserve that.” He admitted.

“We’ll have to find it. But I guess it will be at the Parish mansion.” He sighed. How would they get there and not run into Eden? Though thinking back, he wasnt sure he had seen Eden wear a family ring. Was he not the head of the family? Her mutter made Judah nod, sighing softly. The confession made him scoff. “I somehow am not surprised. Mother wouldnt let us near him for a reason. She always told us to keep away. This was why.” He said with a shake of his head. The disappointment was immense, having thought they would have gotten an accepting and caring father had been their dream all their lives. Now it was for certain that it hadnt been so and never would be. Eden Parish was cold and cruel.

The mention of their rings made him smile as he hugged her closer. “I really like that.” He said, being rather genuine as he was looking forward to be able to show off once more. Even if it was just some family rings, it was their family and when they wore it their hands matched.
“Maybe it’s time to look for an apartment.” He said, touching her arm gently. “The internship is only half a year. Once I’m done, we’ll be able to go anywhere we’d want?” He reminded her. Even if it hadnt gone well with Eden, there was still some good to come out of the situation they were in. The mention of ruining Eden’s reputation made him nod. “What do you have in mind?”
