He liked the sound of that, his lips pulling up in a careful smile. It felt strange to feel those muscles in his face move, especially because it felt like such a long time since he had genuinely smiled. Feeling how Eden leaned into his touch felt good, and Romeo took this time to lean in, connect their lips in a careful kiss as he still felt awfully aware of his own cleanliness. However what he hadn't seen coming - which he probably should have - was the mention of his mother.
His hand dropped from Eden's face, feeling the anger from the vampyre through their tangled fingers. But Romeo wasn't sure how to feel. He frankly was uncertain what he truly wanted. Well, except for one thing. "Can you get a nurse or a doctor in here?" he asked, looking down to the IV in his arm. His skin was still itching. "I want to have a bath .. Brush my teeth .. Feel clean," he said, not really answering about his mother right this second. If Eden got up he would stop him briefly. He hesitated, but decided it would be best to just say it. "Can you make sure the mirrors are covered up?" his voice weak, but he didn't like the sight of himself.

Romeo knew that he was asking a lot from Eden right now. As the vampyre pulled him in he felt all that hurt and frustration, closing his eyes trying not to cry. He had cried so much already, he didn't want to keep being dehydrated because of it. He wanted the IV out and the probe gone if he could have it his way. "I'm sorry," he just muttered softly, because he didn't know what else to say. He wasn't sure how to handle this, let alone how to soothe the vampyre in a moment like this. "I'm right here .. I love you," he opted to whisper, just holding him close even if his muscles felt sore.
Once Eden left and returned with a nurse he sat on the edge of the bed, his feet dangling and not reaching the ground. It had taken him a lot of energy just to sit up like he was right now, so he was saving his energy for when he had to go shower. The nurse removed the IV after making sure he wasn't too dehydrated, unplugging the probe as well, yet not removing it. The doctors still wanted him to get consistent nutrition into him while he was at the hospital, but he could have a break while he cleaned up. "Are you alright to stand? We can prepare a bath for you instead?" the nurse suggested, making Romeo grit his teeth as he looked down. He got up from the bed, but not without struggling a bit. His muscles were sore, a few bruises on his legs that were soon covered up by the medical gown. "A shower will be fine," he said, taking a few careful steps,, the nurse opting to help him. She looked to Eden, "I heard you had someone bring some spare clothes?" she said, sending him a hopeful smile as she guided Romeo out to the bathroom.
The mirror had been covered up as he had asked it to be, leaning on a small railing in the shower he looked down. The nurse was ready to help him undress but he dismissed her, "I can do it myself," he said, his voice weak, but he didn't want anyone to look at him right now. Not even Eden. His hands moved up, fiddling a bit with the closure on the gown, but not removing it before everyone was out of the room. The nurse looked to Eden, apologetic in her look as she knew it couldn't be nice being shut out like this. "Give him time," she said, trying to be optimistic about this.

He knew that Eden wouldn't like him being alone right now, but letting anyone see him as he was right now would feel worse than looking at himself in the mirror. He hadn't been blind to Eden's reaction to seeing his whole body stand up. He wouldn't have his image of him tarnished this much.
Outside the nurse looked to the vampyre with a sympathetic look in her eyes. "There is nothing in there that he can use to harm himself, I promise you that," she said, but promised staying by the door in case the lycan inside needed help. Letting Eden go out for a while, she stood by the door, just listening.
Romeo hated touching himself right now, so he simply closed his eyes, scrubbing his skin even if it bruised rather easily. The water running down his hair made him feel good at least, the heat welcome as he felt rather cold. It wasn't a feeling he was used to. Once he had gotten cleaned up he moved over to sit down on a small stool where he could sit and dry himself off. It took a bit of time, but he managed to do it.
After brushing his teeth he felt positively exhausted. He kept the towel around his body, only letting the nurse enter to place his clothes on the sink, but not getting up before she was out of the room once more. He got into his clothes, and once he felt properly covered up he would call for some help. He was shaking a bit as the nurse came in, helping Romeo back to the bed to sit down. She had brought in a wheelchair as well. As Eden returned she told him that if they wanted to, they could have a small stroll outside before the doctors were ready to see Romeo.

Romeo looked up as Eden entered, sending him a slight smile, though it was clear he wasn't doing too good and perhaps had exhausted himself a bit too much. The vampyre came closer and he leaned his head towards his shoulder just to rest against him for a little while. The question made him hum softly, "I still smell of hospital," he muttered, turning his head to look up at him. "I didn't mean to be so .. cold, shutting you out like that," he admitted, looking down at his hand, his ring so loose around his finger that it was a bit silly that he kept it on. If he so much as shook his hand it would fly right off. "I just .. I don't," he was struggling to find the right words, and he wasn't sure if he even wanted to admit to this. Frankly he was more prone to keeping it bottled up and hidden until he exploded, but he had gotten this far. "I don't want you to think I'm disgusting," he whispered, clearly ashamed that he thought like that, but he couldn't put it any other way. It was all in his mind, he knew that, because he couldn't feel any disgust in Eden as they were here. In fact he had felt nothing but love, care and worry. "I know it's in my head .. I just can't get out of that spiral."

To stop the spiral? He wasn't quite sure, but he leaned in, placing a kiss against Eden's lips. He was happy that he wasn't hooked up to the heart monitor anymore, because his heartrate was spiking that was for sure. "Start kissing me like I'm your husband to be .. Not some broken boy," he muttered, his breath hasty as he kissed him again. He wanted to feel wanted, to feel needed, even if he wasn't strong right now he needed to feel that they could still drive one another on edge. Oh how he longed to feel that spark that he felt in Eden's skin when he kissed him just right. That hunger and delight that he had only ever felt with him.

Romeo stopped Eden from dipping under his shirt, muttering a soft apology as he still needed to come to terms with his body. He however didn't mind Eden grasping at his oversized sweater. He felt him grab at his hips, gritting his teeth a little because he felt a little exposed, but the bite made him moan softly against his lips. The mutter made delightful tingles run down his spine, feeling his hand guided under Eden's shirt. Feeling the cold skin, the smoothness of it and as Eden guided his hand his fingers dug into his skin. He didn't really have too much strength, but it was enough or so he hoped. "You feel like my husband," he whispered, opening his eyes to look at the vampyre. He nuzzled his nose against his. "You feel like the man I want to spend the rest of my life with," almost like a promise that he would live long. That he would fight this to be with him.

He felt that he was holding back, but it was a good thing. Romeo wasn't sure he could handle much more than what they were already doing. However the whisper made him grasp at Eden, his jaw trembling as he felt his eyes well up a little. He really would've done that? He truly wanted him after everything? Of course Romeo wanted him as well, but doing it right in the middle of a hospital room wasn't the place, besides he still had a lot of healing to do to even think about that sort of stuff. "I wish we were home right now," he whined softly, because he had wanted that comfort. Being pulled into Eden's lap would've been more than he could've ever asked for in a moment like this, but alas here they were.
There was a discreet knock at the door, a nurse poking her head in, saying that a doctor was here to talk to Romeo. At first the doctor wanted Eden to leave the room, but Romeo was adamant that the vampyre should stay and hear this too. Accepting, the doctor flipped through his notes, telling Romeo of the severity of his eating disorder, how he needed active help or he would simply die within a few years, maybe less. The news was hard, Romeo looking down, just holding Eden's hand as he felt quite ashamed. "Have you decided on a treatment facility yet?" the doctor asked, because it was their evaluation that the lycan would need to go to such a place. Romeo frowned, hesitating before he spoke, "the nurse gave us a folder for a place .. but I want to visit it first, see my options," he said. The doctor nodded, quite happy to hear that the lycan had accepted to get help. "We estimate that you should have a three month program at the minimum," he said which made Romeo shiver a little. Three months? Couldn't it be done quicker? "Why three?" he asked, looking up at the doctor who flipped through his notes, "in case of relapse."

Romeo felt that three months would be an eternity. He had already spent so much time away from Eden, and now he had to be away from him more? The kisses making him feel good, but there was a bitterness to it because he wouldn't be around the vampyre all the time. Every kiss counted in his head. Eden was right however, it was a small price to pay for a long life, but he felt impatient nonetheless. He looked from the doctor to Eden, studying his features, dreading having to be apart for him once more. "You'll come visit me .. Once a week, right?" he asked softly, needing the support that he could only get from the man he loved.
The doctor cleared his throat, "of course, you would have to check in with the facility once you get there to hear about their visitation policies," he said, smiling at the lycan politely, "however the one we often recommend even have a lot of focus on support from family and friends - as well as loved ones." The doctor wasn't trying to thread on anyone's toes. "I get to decide who can come visit me, right?" Romeo suddenly asked, turning his head to look at the doctor with a worried frown. If his family could just waltz in, then he knew he wouldn't get better. The doctor hummed, "you can setup a guest list - but again you'll have to speak with the facility." If there were no more questions, he would hand them the summary of the meeting the doctors had had that morning for the lycan to look over. Romeo sighed, seeing the papers, he wasn't really in the mood to look through them all right now.
"Could we go on a walk?" he asked Eden, eyeing the wheelchair that they could use seeing as Romeo's body probably was too weak to handle too much walking right now. A nurse came back in, hooking the probe up to the food supply once more and Romeo felt a little disgusted, but the nurse did show them how they could take the machine with them.

Romeo got in the wheelchair. It was a bit strange to just be wheeled around like this, in fact it felt rather limiting, but Eden being there made it at least tolerable. The garden was pretty, and had he just been a visitor he might've complimented it, but he didn't really say much. They found a small section of the garden that wasn't too busy, Romeo looked to the small playground a little bit away, wondering how many kids were here. Though that was a pretty depressing thought. "Three months feel like forever," he scoffed, looking down at the necklace he had gotten on, the ring in it. He lifted his hand, putting it on the finger as it was still on the chain made it so it actually fit better. "It's not like I don't want to get better .. I just had hoped it would be like a week or two," he admited, though that had clearly been wishful thinking. He sighed, just looking at his ring, the hazel crystal shining back, matching his eyes as it have been from his family ring.
Family. Romeo felt like they had to address the elephant in the room. "Am I evil for not seeing my mother?" He asked, looking to Eden. He knew the vampyre's stance on his family, but Romeo had always been very close with his mother. Even if she was strict and old-fashioned, he still cared for her deep down.

Josette had told him? He sighed softly, nodding to confirm that it had indeed happened. He wasn't sure when it had started, but he had been doing that even before Eden. It wasn't a problem that had just occurred after being with the vampyre, that was for sure. However he wasn't sure he really wanted to talk about it, or if they would even get anywhere seeing as Romeo felt awkward just talking about it.
Eden was quick to assure him that he could see her in his own time, but he still felt like he was being mean at least not talking to her. She had reached out to him, even without his grandfather, but he had just made sure to delete those messages as they came in. "I do want to talk to her .. I just don't want her to try and convince me to come back or leave you or whatever it is she wants," he said with a sigh, shaking his head a little because it was clear he was conflicted about it. He reached over, taking Eden's hand in his own. "She's my mother, and she has sacrificed so much for me," he said, frowning as he felt like so many things could be added to that, "but her not accepting who I am and in turn what we are; I just don't know if I can handle that on top of everything else going on."

"She wasn't forced to have me," he said, shaking his head no. His mother had been his rock. She had helped him through some of the worst moments of his childhood and had saved his life. And yet he couldn't shake the reminder that she had disowned him and yet now wanted him back. Eden brought up a good point. Maybe it was best to wait until after the program, however he wasn't sure he wanted to look forward to seeing his mother. "I just want to get it over with," he said, looking at Eden as he touched his cheek so gently. He felt a bit out of place in this garden surrounded by so many old people. He wasn't meant to be here, and yet he was. "I think making her see me like this might be a bigger punishment for her than I can imagine," he confessed, turning his head, kissing Eden's palm, just feeling how their temperature clashed, even if Romeo wasn't as warm as he used to. At least the sun was out.

Romeo felt the thumb that touched his lips, separating his lips a little, just breathing a little heavier. It was crazy how he could react when Eden was there. He felt like such a horny teenager, even if right now he probably couldn't handle being much else than just sitting here in this stupid wheelchair. "You need to be mindful of the sun," he muttered, kissing his thumb in gentle pecks. "I don't want you to get drained just because of me," he said, lifting his hand to touch Eden's, but not removing it. He couldn't deny him that right now. He of course had his boundaries, and if he thought about it too much he would probably spiral about the fact that his cheeks were hollowed out. "Can you help me get up?" he asked softly, and if Eden did, he would take a few wobbly steps, moving over to sit down on Eden's lap. He knew he would be rather light, wrapping his arm around the vampyre as to not slip off so easily. "Just a moment for us." A tender whisper as he leaned in to connect their lips.
