@Raziela <3 “Holy shit!” She cursed under her breath as she had made her turn around the corner and caught the beautiful grafitti that her friends had warned her about. She fiddled and found her cheap one-time use camera and took a proper picture of it. Despite all warnings of this wretched place, she was far too daring to give up a chance to see how beautiful it was with her own eyes. She turned her head at the sound of voices nearby, jumping down behind some large construction debris as she laid down and looked up at the sky. She couldnt tell what they were saying, the language was something she hadnt heard before, but it sounded so refined and even beautiful. She heard a soft voice that made her push herself up carefully and peak up from the debris, hoping that the slight oncoming darkness of dusk would help her remain hidden.

Raziela was out late, like she usually was, and meeting in the Blocks always was the easiest for daemons, at least in these times. No-one could really feel safe with a killer going around; Or that was at least what Raziela reminded everyone off. Her brother's death still sat in her, and while she had almost gotten to get what she wanted in revenge, it wasn't enough. She needed to get rid of Alyssa and usurp the power of the empusas, but it took time. She was walking with a couple of her most trusted, stopping as she could smell something linger in the air. Human perhaps? No, it had a different scent to it. Fenix. Raziela's eyes turned crazed for a while, looking for where the scent came from. "No need to hide; Show yourself," she said in the common english language.

She even went as far as to hold her breath and hope that she wouldnt be caught. She wasnt scared of getting hurt because she knew how to take a beating, she was more worried that if she was caught, they would steal her shit. She had so many memories in her camera that she wanted to put in her book. The girl’s voice called out and Dahria gasped quietly, laying still for a bit but then she realized there wasnt a point in hiding. She peaked her head up and looked at them, her bright blue eyes looking at the pretty girl who had spoken to her - At least she assumed that the voice would match the face. She had this innocent look at her face though she wasnt sure it would help her situation much.

Raziela tilted her head to the side, making her look much more innocent than she actually was. "What are you doing out here? This part of town isn't safe," she said, sounding almost like a caring friend. Looking at the fenix she narrowed her eyes a little, wondering if she was hiding something. More importantly, did she hear any of the things they spoke about. "Come on, I can have someone escort you home safely, I can even do it myself - Don't let my size fool you," she smiled.

The girl was right - This part wasnt safe. Which was why Dahria felt sceptical to find a pretty girl out here speaking in tongues she didnt know of. “I’m not done here,” she just said as she got up on her feet. She was dressed in a light hoodie that exposed her stomach skin, a couple of shorts that were held in place by a belt. Two different coloured knee socks with long black boots to match. She looked a bit like the kind that wandered this place, beside the fact that her clothes were clean. Her hood was over her head, her long black hair hidden in a ponytail inside the hood. Her face bore a heart tattoo below her eye and the side of her nose had been pierced. “I’m here to take pictures of the art,” she said as she pointed towards the wall she had been looking at before she resorted to hiding.

Raziela scoffed at the fenix as she said she wasn't done there. It was clear as day that she didn't fit in, her clothes clean and she looked well kept. "The art will be here tomorrow as well, but your life may not," the empusa said. One of her followers leaned in to her ear, whispering in the daemonic tongue. Raziela shook her head, gesturing for the two followers to go along. "You probably see yourself as edgy, right? A free spirit, a real opportunist?" she said, walking a bit closer. Even though the empusa was tall, she clearly exuded dominance. "Take this opportunity to leave, because in a minute this place is going to swarm with beasts from the Abyssus, ready to devour anything in sight," she said, pointing at the graffiti. "That right there is not art, it is a sign for summoners to follow, and I'm here to lead a very important meeting," she explained.

“Are you threatning me?” The fenix asked with her head tilted a little to the side. She wasnt sure why the girl seemed to care so much for her wellbeing, was it because she was the danger she was speaking of? The question made the fenix frown, shaking her head. She didnt see herself as edgy or an opportunist. She stepped back as the girl got a little close, feeling the rough wall against her exposed back. “Fine... I’ll go,” she said in a defiant tone, though there was something intriguing about the girl and the young fenix felt her own curiousity rise. She pushed herself off the wall and took the opportunity to look the girl properly in the eyes, her own flaring with that burning passion behind the bright blue. “You’ve got pretty eyes,” she said in a low tone before she went past her and got ready to make her leave. She was contemplating whether she could crawl up somewhere and hide to watch whatever that was going to happen.

Shrugging the empusa simply smiled. She owed nothing to the mere mortal of a fenix, and especially not right now. She had more important matters to attend to than some runaway brat. As the fenix leaned closer, the empusa didn't even flinch, she just stood eerily by as she looked in to her eyes. The comment didn't even make Raziela react, just looking at her with a stoic expression. If not she seemed a little annoyed that she had to tell kids to run along and get out of the way. But fine, if she wanted to stay and see what was going to happen, she didn't mind having a small fenix hunt. As the fenix walked away, a hooded figure kept its eyes on her, and the figure managed to grab her, pulling her with her in to one of the abandoned buildings not far from the spot. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you," a sweet voice said from under the hood, obstructing any features that might be visible. "Maybe you can help me ... I could need an extra set of eyes tonight," the female voice pleaded.

She would have thought that her adventure had ended, but then someone pulled at her. She fought the hooded figure but she wasnt exactly strong. Inside the abandoned building her hand had grasped around a pouch on her backside, some powder that pretty much had the same effect as a strong pepperspray. “I find that hard to believe,” the fenix said in disbelief. Was she supposed to trust everyone she met tonight? But she was curious again, maybe too curious for her own good. “What do you need me to do?” She asked with her head tilted to the side.

"I need you to help me save someone ... someone that is very dear to my heart," she pleaded, her hands covered with gloves as well. The only indication of what she was came from her voice, a very feminine yet elegant voice. Almost as if she had been raised by high society. "Please, I just need to get them home safe ... I need him to survive tonight," she said, reaching out and placing a ring in her hand. "Wear this ... The creatures won't be able to spot you," she said. The ring was ancient, gold and decorated with a lot of tiny crystals.

A rescue mission? As intriguing as it may sound, Dahria was certain that the woman had the wrong person to ask for help from. “Where do I find him?” She found herself asking when she should have declined. She had a kind heart, she couldnt turn down someone who needed her help like that. She looked at the ring, inspecting it as she made a deep yet trembling sigh. Someone’s life was at stake, from what she could hear, so she was slowly composing herself to a more serious approach than her bratty loudmouth.

"He'll appear shortly, please, I need him to be safe - He will look odd to you, but don't be scared; I'll distract the daemons, just, please, save him," she pleaded. There was so much emotion to her voice, placing a hand over the fenix'. It was a lot of trust to put in a stranger, but she didn't have any other choice. The stranger moved to the broken window, looking out at the daemons gathering, hauling a hooded person with them, throwing the figure on the ground, spitting on him. "How convenient that you show up when we lose a leader; Care to explain, mongrel?" Raziela asked in a loud voice, making sure that the daemons around her could here her seriousness. The hooded figure not replying, but it was clear from the ground underneath him that red blood was hitting the ground. "Speak you abomination!" Raziela yelled, grabbing the hood and removing it, showing a purple skinned creature, horns protruding from his forehead. He was bleeding from a cut in his forehead as well from his swollen lip. The creature gritted his teeth showing four fangs in total, his eyes red as the blood he was spilling. "Tell us of your purpose here, you disfigured failure," Raziela barked, smacking the guy across the face, making him fall to the ground with a thump.

The plea didnt go on deaf ears and Dahria would make sure that she would at least try and help to her best ability. After all, she hadnt ever been afraid of dying, because deep inside she knew she wouldnt ever be gone. She went with the stranger to the window, looking at the commotion below. She frowned a little as the hooded person was thrown to the ground. She swallowed hard and frowned, watching the pretty girl treat him the way she did made Dahria wonder if the innocent look really was too decieve? The purple skinned creature didnt seem like he would survive another beating and Dahria couldnt wait any longer. She moved out of the building, going back to the commotion, leaning back against a wall as she thought of her options. The stranger had promised a distraction, but she wasnt seeing anything just yet. She couldnt wait for it. Stepping out, she knew she was putting her own life on the line. “Hey again! I guess I’m lost,” she chuckled, trying to act all unknowing. Then her expression seemed to turn confused, but she was just pretending. “Am I interrupting something?” She asked curiously.

Raziela had had just about enough of this creatures defiance, wanting her next blow to be final, but then she heard that fenix once more. Gritting her teeth, she turned around to face the beautiful yet idiotic girl. Who did she think she was? The empusa had given her a fair warning, but it seemed like stupidity just ran wild within the fenix genes. "Seize her," Raziela ordered in a tired voice, waving her hand and letting a couple of brutes step forward, grabbing a hold of the young woman. "I guess your beasts can feast twice tonight," she said, looking towards the summoners present. Then the man on the ground stood up, mumbling something in a beautiful yet ancient language and it made Raziela frown. "How do you speak our tongue, you vile fool?" she demanded to know, lifting her hand to strike him again. "Salil!" the cloaked woman cried out, jumping in to stand in front of the male creature, taking the hit that made her fly to the ground. The male looked stunned, and the female's cloak had flown off her head, revealing a just as purple skin, her face filled with white markings and her horn adorned with golden tips. The female mumbled something to the male, and he nodded, moving almost faster than the blink of an eye before he reached the fenix. "Worry not, hold on tight," the male said in a hushed voice, grabbing the fenix before the brutes could even react. The male managed to get her away, a fair distance from where they had been moments ago. He turned, looking at the place where they had come from. It was clear he felt torn, wanting to return after his friend, but too beaten to actually do it.

What had she expected? A warm open armed welcome? Maybe that was a bit of a stretch. The pretty girl didnt seem happy at all, actually quite the opposite. The brutes grabbed her before she could do anything, making her groan as it wasnt exactly pleasant. If she needed confirmation in dislking the roughness of men, this was definitely it. “Not even going to keep me for yourself?” She asked through gritted teeth, managing to put a smile on her lips despite the tight grips on her arms that definitely would leave some visible marks. The purple daemon spoke in that beautiful tongue and redirected the girl’s attention to him. Dahria hadnt come prepared into this, so she had no idea how she was supposed to break free. She could feel them tighten their grip at the smallest of movements, she wondered if they were just dying to tear her limb from limb. The stranger appeared to take the hit intended for the purple daemon, revealing that she was also one of them. Dahria wasnt that surprised, it made sense. And then within the blink of an eye, the purple guy grabbed her and ran. She didnt realize that they were in another part of town before she took a few steps to orientate herself. “Wow,” she mumbled in amazement, looking at the purple daemon. She grabbed her water bottle and poured a bit on her sleeve as she didnt care if it got wet, or even be used to remove some blood from the daemons face. “You didnt have to save me,” she mumbled, wondering why he hadnt just taken his friend instead.

| Raziela groaned at the fenix' words, did all females of that race flatter themselves so much? The empusa cared little for other races other than her own kind, but when things escalated she was quite surprised. The male creature and the fenix was gone, but she had another specimen who could carry out the sentence. In her eyes they were all the same, misfits and disgusting to look at. "Hold her, let us have some fun before we end her miserable life," the empusa said with a cruel smile on her lips.
The male creature was just standing there, frowning because he knew the pain that the female would feel, and part of him pitied her. Turning to look at the fenix, his red eyes studied her in great detail, wondering what was going through her mind. She hadn't cowered in fear from his appearance, so something must've been up. "You are innocent ... There would've been no reason for your blood to have been spilt," he said, but his voice was clearly not used to speaking English. He had a more guttural sound when speaking English compared to Daemonic. "Nithmeia is the best fighter I know, she can handle it until I've gathered my strength to save her," he said, frowning as the fenix stepped closer, removing the blood from him. He grabbed her wrist, his hand shaking because he was not in great shape. "Save your care for yourself," he said in a manner of factly kind of voice. |

The way he seemed to struggle with english made her raise an eyebrow but she wasnt really finding it that odd. There were many accents to find in Churchill, she heard them everyday. His words made her shrug, "I'm a fenix. It doesnt matter in the big picture," she said with a certain voice. Nithmeia, she repeated the name in her head. Looking down at the ring, she made a deep sigh. She wanted to at least repay some of the kindness he had shown in saving her by cleaning away the worst of the blood. But the way he grabbed her wrist made her look at him with a surprised look in her eyes. That was kind of rude, she thought to herself but retreated her hand. She looked around, unsure which direction they had come from. "Am I just supposed to go now and not help?" she asked, clearly expressing that she didnt just want that.

| The male scoffed, shaking his head at her words. That was not a fact that he would accept. He and his kind had lived with prejudice upon them for as long as he could remember, and to them each life mattered. It was clear that he was trying to stay strong, his tail helping in keeping his balance. "You should've never been brought in to this, perhaps it would be safest for you to go away - The empusa will hunt you and I do not wish harm to be set upon someone like you," he said calmly. His eyes gracing back to where he had left Nithmeia. His heart pounding in his chest because he could not hide what she meant to him. "If you could set up some place where I could hide ... A safe place where I could take her if I save her in time," he said with a pained expression. He held up his index and middle finger together, drawing a few symbols in the air that started to glow but quickly disappeared as he mumbled in the ancient language once more. Then he fell back a bit, stumbling on his feet as he started coughing up blood. It wasn't wise to use his abilities now, but he just needed Nithmeia to be safe for the night.
Nithmeia felt the symbols, guarding her body as the daemons started their torture, making her scream towards the night sky. Raziela chuckling as she looked at the suffering creature. |

"Bah! Let her, I dont care!" she barked, but she wasnt trying to be aggressive. Frankly, she thought it could be quite interesting and at least she would have done something that had mattered. "I think I know a place," she mumbled in a thoughtful voice before she looked up at him with certain eyes. She made a nod with her head to assure him that she did have a place for him and the other purple creature to hide. It might not be as nice as one would think but it would suffice. She gasped a little surprised at the symbols he drew and as he stumbled, she reached out her hand for him to take so she could get him on his feet again. "You'll have to walk, I cant carry you," she said, wishing she had some sort of supernatural strength to aid her, but it was wishful thinking. "What can help you... heal faster?" she asked a little concerned but also in a ponder. If there was some sort of quick fix, she would surely help him.

The male creature nodded at her words, looking at her with a stoic expression, even though he was sure she could see his true pain. "Any place is fine ... Just away from wandering gazes," he explained, pulling up his hood, though she could still see his dark red eyes shining at her. Adjusting his cape he managed to hide his tail as well, coughing a bit before spitting some blood on the ground, following her. He shook his head under the hood. "Not unless you have crystals handy," he said in a pondering tone. He knew very little of this strange land, but he had been brought here despite that. Part of him still couldn't believe how Nithmeia had been able to follow and find him. "But anything herbal will always aid," he said, groaning as he stopped, placing a hand on his ribs. The beating he had gotten had been severe, but despite that he was still standing. He was convinced that the daemons had kept him alive just to torture him more. "My name is Salil," he said, straightening himself up, coughing a bit more, feeling blood trickle down his chin.

She nodded at his request. That was quite an easy task, she knew exactly where they had to go. It was between the blocks and the southern district, a secret hideout that she often wandered off to in her early teen years. The memory was fond, though she spent most of her time there alone. It was probably just filled with junkies and whatnot at this point. She shook her head when he mentioned crystals, "Not unless you mean those cheap ones I bought in a souvenir shop," she chuckled. The amount of blood he kept spitting out was worrying her. She started leading the way once he was ready to go, lending him a shoulder to grab if he needed the support. "Nice to meet you Salil. I'm Dahria," she said as she looked at him with her icy bright blue eyes. She felt quite different from him in that way, with their different coloured eyes. Well she was in every regard, but to her it only seemed that their eyes made them different. "Should I ask why you were beaten the way you were?" she asked with a worried expression.

"I wish I could tell you the same," he said, a hint of bitterness to his voice, gritting his teeth as he bit back a groan. He did however mean his words. It would've probably been nice to meet her under different circumstances, but right now was not one of those times. He was exhausted, being kept beneath that dark temple had been fine, it was when they started toying with him it became unbearable. He leaned a bit on her, only because he felt like he wouldn't be able to support himself much longer. Her question made him scoff. Wasn't it obvious? He was being blamed and judged based on his looks, and he wanted to return to his kind and warn them about this horrible place. But first he would have to get Nithmeia and find a way to actually go back. "I am blamed for a crime I did not commit; Of course daemons care little for the truth and rather follow their brutal instinct to just strike and kill," he said, grimacing as they made their way through the town. He wondered briefly how it must've looked to outsiders, but then his mind shifted back to focusing on walking.

The bitter tone made her look down, nodding to his words. She didnt actually think the circumstances that they had met in were that nice either, but she was brought up to be polite, though it wasnt really her cup of tea. Even him leaning onto her felt heavy, so she was just happy that he could still walk. Her question was intrusive, but now that she had been dragged into it, she thought she was allowed to know. But his explanation didnt make sense to her at all. She just frowned and sighed deeply. "They sound like a bunch of dicks," she mumbled, but even so, there was something about the girl that seemed to orchestrate it all that made Dahria wonder. How could someone like her be so cruel? Somehow the fenix found it more intriguing than scary.

"You can say that twice," he mumbled. Though he didn't quite understand the expression, he understood what she mean from the tone of her voice. Salil remained mostly quiet, trying not to press down on her too hard. He was a tall fellow, slender but his shoulders broad and strong. At least when he was at normal health. He felt like a weakling, having to rely on a stranger, but he also found it fascinating. The fenix was rather gentle with him, guiding him to the best of her abilities, and he was not going to let that be unnoticed. "You are caught in your thoughts, tell me of them," he said. Perhaps she was worried now that she would be punished severely for helping a suspected criminal.

She must have been quiet for too long, pondering on her own for him to ask about her thoughts. She folded her lips and hummed, looking down at the ground. “I’m just not used to seeing stuff like this. People being beaten and such. I thought I would be scared, but I’m not,” she explained in a quiet tone, thinking it must have been weird. “In fact, I think the moment I drew the attention to myself was the most courageous I have ever been in my life,” she admitted. She had been brave before, but never like this. Doing daredevil things was not on par with what she did for the tall purple guy. She lifted a hand to scratch her neck, “I’m a person who never really gets to die. My kind are in an endless cycle of dying and be reborn, unless our souls gets eaten,” she explained, hoping it made some sort of sense. “So that’s why I’m not afraid of dying. Even if it’s my soul being taken,” she looked up as they got to an abandoned building. She went up ahead and made sure that no junkies were inside before waving him closer. Inside it was like she knew exactly were to go, dropping on her knees at a broken rug before pulling it to the side to reveal a hidden trapdoor. “I think this house was made back when the districts were fighting each other,” she mumbled, before she opened the trapdoor and let him go in first. Underground, it was quite the sturdy build, with three empty rooms. Dahria had collected a few trinkets from the home from when it was freshly abandoned, making it seem a little less apocalyptic and more home-like. “My second home,” she welcomed him, going around as she turned on a few battery driven lamps to add a nice warm light.
