“No, I wasnt the driver or the one who made him go. But I was still the one who was supposed to protect him,” she mumbled as she lifted her head to take a sip of her beer. Somehow the comfort was nice but it couldnt remove the guilt or shame she felt whenever she thought about it. Just remembering the last time she saw him could make her stomach twist and turn. But it was just hard, and what was even harder was that her parents had blamed themselves and not even said a word to her about it all. “You should maybe practice what you preach,” she managed to chuckle as he had, shaking her head as she looked up the ceiling for a bit.
But then it seemed to get a bit more serious as he spoke of her bettering herself. She frowned a little in confusion at his words, pushing herself up to sit. “If my life hadnt been laid out for me for the 1639th time again, I wouldnt have known what to do either. You’re a daemon in 2020 where you cant kill any seraph you meet anymore. Of course you feel a little lost,” she said with a shrug. That was about the knowledge she had on daemons. “But it’s okay to feel lost. Which is cheap coming from me. But I just think that people like you who has a million directions to go with endless sideroads and bumps and full stops... It gets confusing,” she pondered before she took a long swig of the wine, pulling a face at the sour afterburn. “I dont know. What did you want to be as a kid, for example?” She asked, emptying the last bit of her beer. She could feel the oncoming buzz that would hit her like a brickwall.

Jasper shrugged at her words. Perhaps he should listen to his own advice, but in reality he wasn't really willing to make that change. It was easy what he was doing now, and change would take a lot of effort - And the last thing he wanted to do was put effort in to something new. He just sat for a while, drinking his beer as she spoke about her understanding of his conflicting thoughts and feelings. Truth was he had never given much thought to what life would be once he grew up. Everything in his life was taken one day at a time. Her question made him scoff. "Take this however you want, but I didn't have aspirations as a kid either; Got whipping marks to prove it," he chuckled, closing his eyes as he finished his second beer. "I don't know, if I could choose anything I wanted right now, I think it would be someone who could fucking fix me," he admitted. Opening his eyes he looked at the fenix, feeling a slight buzz, but it wasn't too bad yet. "I don't know, my family is very set on me marrying the right woman, popping out a few kids before world domination, you know," he said, shrugging at the thought. He didn't know if rebellion ran in the family, but he knew that Raziela had butted heads with Andrew over the lycan he was seeing more than once. Breathing out in a sigh, he shook his head. "I wouldn't be a good father ... I wouldn't be a good husband ... Mostly because sticking around isn't part of me," he confessed. Maybe if he didn't have commitment issues, then he would've had an easier time just adjusting to his parents' wishes. "But hey, at least I haven't become sterile yet from all this drinking," he chuckled, turning it in to a giggle as he laid back against the soft duvet, looking up at the ceiling.

She tilted her head as he explained. Somehow she found it hard to believe that he wouldnt have at least one thing that he wanted more than anything. But maybe he wasnt ready to open up that box of emotions. She took a sip from the wine, feeling the nice tingly feeling in her brain. This stuff was working the way it was supposed to. She couldnt help but chuckle at his family’s wishes, mostly because of the mention of world domination, “Cute,” she mumbled as she ran her finger on the tip of the winebottle. “I’m sure you could be a good whatever you want to be good at. I dont believe this; I’m a good for nothing bullshit,” she said with a soft smile on her lips. She however didnt want to argue, passing the wine over to him. She chuckled with him at his comment about not being sterile, frowning a little through her laughter, “Got a few bastards to prove that?” She teased, grabbing her second beer to open and chug. “If I could just spread my seed and not give a shit what would spring from it, I would. At least I know my parents would take good care of them,” she said before she fiddled a little with the can. She didnt see any kids in her future, the thought actually repulsed her quite a bit. She placed the can on her forehead before she began to balance it, smiling a little to herself. She might have done this a little too often as her best party trick.

Jasper chuckled at her words about her not really believing his schtick, but he simply shrugged. When she asked if he got any bastards he laughed heartily, a laughter that actually sounded genuine. "I don't think so, wanna make some?" he joked but shook his head. He didn't mean it, because he was terrified of kids. Their little fingers and how they seemed to drool everywhere - no thanks! He looked at her as she started balancing the beer can, smiling as he took another sip of the wine, realizing it was empty. Scoffing he let the bottle roll over the floor as he looked up at the ceiling once more. "You know ... Speaking of bastards I do have one thing I'm good at," he said, a grin on his face as he was feeling the alcohol get to him a little. "I'm incredible with my mouth," he laughed, placing an arm over his eyes, laughing a little before a small hiccup escaped his lips. "Pardon me," he mumbled, pulling a face as he knew that was what Raziela wanted him to say in that situation. "I don't know, man, I'm not like a good person or some shit, but I find it strange that my sister didn't jump you ... You're totally her type," he giggled, sitting up, looking her up and down. "That messy dark hair, the edgy style ... Fuck, even I could go for someone like you," he admitted.

PostSubject: Re: Wrong place at the wrong time?   Wrong place at the wrong time? - Page 5 EmptyThu Jul 16, 2020 9:24 pm

“Gods no!” She quickly replied to his joke shaking her head before she calmed down to start balancing the can on her forehead. She heard the bottle roll and snatched her beer from her forehead before it could fall off on it’s own. His words made her chuckle, lifting the can to her lips before she drank some more. “Have we resorted to flirting now?” She chuckled before she shook her head. “You’re barking up the wrong tree,” she mumbled as she placed the can on her lips again, emptying it in a long chug.
His words about his sister made her inhale the beer, spitting some out as she coughed and harked. “I’m what?” She asked a little choked up, but it made her incredibly happy to hear. When he admitted that he could go for her too, she had gotten control of herself again and stopped coughing. She chuckled and ran a hand through the messy hair of hers, “I’ve never really liked guys,” she admitted, looking at her can before she shrugged. “Or I guess I just like women more. I’ve just never had a crush on a man,” - “Maybe an exception, there was this one famous guy with the pretty face and the curls... But I think I was just confused as to if he was a woman or a man underneath it all,” she explained, frowning a little at her own words.

Jasper started chuckling as Dahria started sputtering with her beer, shaking his head at her reaction. "Yeah, well I guess my lack of bastards mainly stem from the fact I prefer guys more than girls," he chuckled, letting her know that he wasn't interested in her like that. If he was in to her, she would've known by now, but alas sexual chemistry was tricky. Once she had gotten control over herself he chuckled at her response, shrugging lightly but then she mentioned the guy with the pretty face and curls. "Wait, so it was a guy?" he asked, sitting up as he was genuinely surprised. Running a hand through his messy hair he breathed out. "Fuck, maybe I'm just full on gay," he chuckled shaking his head. Groaning he laid back down on the duvet, rubbing his eyes in frustration. "Welp, not having kids now then," he sighed.
A bit of time went by, they had managed to empty all of the beers, passing the last bottle of wine between them. "I swear, you are much weirder than you look!" he giggled, passing her the bottle. He was drunk, more drunk than was good for him, and he was making a lot of noice. Accidentally kicking a few empty cans of beer, shushing at them as if it would help with the noise. Then the door opened, Raziela standing in the doorway with her arms crossed as she looked at her brother with a killing glare. "Whoopsie poopsie, looks like the dogs out of the grocery store, or whatever they say," Jasper giggled.

“Ohhhh. Well no kids to search for a deadbeat dad anytime soon then,” she chuckled as she coughed, the buzz making it seem funnier than it was. She wasnt the kind to make fun of kids with missing parents, but she was letting loose for once. “Do you remember his name? I cant even recall. It’s thst chick flick guy that every girl loves, but none of them knows that he does music on the side,” she explained before she scratched the side of her neck. No name came to mind, so it clearly wasnt that important.
Getting through all the alcohol had been a task on it’s own, but getting to know Jasper more and more was what made it worth it. She had told some stories of her own, the worst one being that one time she managed to repulse everyone on girl camp when she had skinned her own fish and thought it would be funny to place a long strip of skin over her upperlip as a moustache. “I’m not jhust weird,” she said in playful drunken denial, snatching the bottle as he passed it. “I’m alsooo... vhery funny!” She giggled as he kicked the empty cans, not knowing it would alert someone, she snickered. She hugged the wine bottle as the door suddenly went up, looking up at Raziela before she decided it was better to start sobering up. “Hey cutie. Want a taste?” She asked, raising the bottle towards the empusa.

Raziela was looking at them, they were both incredibly intoxicated and as the fenix spoke she ignored her question. Instead she frowned, looking at her brother that she usually knew how to handle, but when he was in that intoxicated state he could prove difficult. "Get up, fenix, you're coming with me," she said in a dry voice. The smell of alcohol wasn't particularly nice for her senses, it was a burning and she couldn't understand how anyone could handle it. If the fenix would follow, Jasper would chuckle turning over so that he filled the whole duvet. "Razzie and Dahrie - sitting in a treeeeeee," he sang, giggling as he was clearly too drunk to move right now. Raziela gave her brother a killing glare before she closed the door after the two of them, leading Dahria to another room. The daemon was angry, angry because it seemed like no-one was listening to orders right now. "Go to bed," Raziela ordered, crossing her arms as she looked at the fenix.

Having Raziela just call her fenix made her wrinkle her nose. “Will you call my by my name if I give it to you?,” she asked with a sigh, but it wasnt that she was blaming her for calling her a fenix. She got up and tried her best not to stumble as she made her way to the door. Jasper’s song made her chuckle as she shook her head and shushed at him. The hallway felt as if it was spinning but Dahria was walking surely on her feet. She looked around in the new room before Raziela made her orders. “Or what?” She asked quite defiant, turning to the empusa with a playful smile.

Raziela sighed, pressing her thumb and index finger against her nose bridge, closing her eyes as to not burst out in anger. She had been given clear orders to not hurt the fenix, and yet she was just so infuriating. "I'm not in the mood for those games, just get in bed, you're drunk," she said in a surprisingly calm voice. Wasn't it clear that the empusa was already exhausted? She had barely slept, and the pressure of finding her brother's killers were looming over her. She didn't feel like she was allowed to relax, not before she had taken action and made her revenge final. In a moment of weakness she leaned against a wall, her face still not showing what she was feeling. "Why do you have to be this way? I warned you back then in the alley, I gave you a fair chance, and yet here you are, in over your head and for what?" she asked, opening her eyes to look at her. She was not the curious type, but the fenix was either extremely stupid or just ignorant to her surroundings.

She knew she was pressing buttons with her defiance, but she didnt want to be a loyal dog who would wag her tail on command. “You’re not in the mood for anything I do,” she argued, walking over to the bed before she pressed her palms onto the duvet to feel how soft she would be lying there. She looked to the empusa as she leaned against the wall, sitting down on the bed as she stretched with a yawn. “For the adventure,” she answered as she pulled her shirt over her head to throw on the floor, only wearing a thin tanktop underneath. She laid down, looking up at the ceiling. “Even if it’ll kill me,” she mumbled, glancing at Raziela. “You look like you need sleep more than I do,” she remarked, lifting herself up on her elbows. “Did I steal your bed?” She then asked, looking around before looking back at Raziela.

Not in the mood? By Bael, if only the fenix knew. But that part of her she was trying to bury faster than the thought appeared. Raziela didn't seem faced with the stripping of clothes, she wasn't a wild animal, so she wouldn't just jump the woman without reason. However that didn't mean that she didn't found herself admiring the shape of her. "That is my bed, yes, but I can't sleep regardless, even if I try," she admitted, feeling like she was opening up too much. "I lost someone close to me recently, and they are hunting my nightmares, telling me I'm not doing enough, and it's right," she said in a soft murmur, shaking her head. She was too tired to be speaking about Simeon at this point. She wished she could just go to him, speak this out, but he didn't even have a grave she could visit. His ashes had been scattered and there was nowhere she could go to feel closer to him.

A frown appeared on her face as Raziela seemed to open up somewhat. She tilted her head to the side and listened. “That sounds like a mouthful,” she said when she finished, laying back down. “Sit down. I’m getting nauseous just by looking at you stand there,” she said, gesturing to the other side of the bed. “I promise I wont bite. But I’d like not to stain your linen with wine and beer,” she mumbled, placing a hand on her stomach. Maybe drinking on an empty stomach hadnt been the best call.

Raziela sighed at the fenix' request, but she complied. She was too tired to go against those words, sitting down on the bed, but it didn't take long for her to just lay down on her back, looking up at the ceiling with an empty gaze. "I really don't understand you," she said, breathing out as she closed her eyes, however she couldn't just relax. It wasn't because she didn't want to sleep, it was more a feeling of time being wasted. "And don't take everything my brother said as serious ... His mind is messed up," she said, but she wanted to add like the rest of us to that sentence. Raziela was awfully aware of her short comings, as well as the fact that she wasn't emotionally stable in any way. She let anger rule her life.

She watched her as she made her way to the bed, chuckling at her quite obvious revelation  in regards to her understanding of her. “Are you telling me that it doesnt excite you just a little bit?” She teased her. She kept her eyes on the ceiling and did her best to not keep her eyes closed at the room felt like it was spinning around itself. “I think he just needed someone to listen, even if it wasnt true,” she said, turning her head to look at the empusa. There was something about her, that couldnt keep Dahria’s mouth shut, “You’re very pretty, even if I’m drunk outta my mind,” she said in a hushed tone, as if she was disclosing some secret, she rolled onto her side. “Please be here when I wake up,” she mumbled tiredly, closing her eyes.

Raziela breathed out in a sigh. What was she supposed to say? That she didn't find it strange and like a mystery she wanted to solve? However she could also hear the fenix' heart rate start to slow down, and it wouldn't be long before the woman by her side would be asleep. "You are drunk," she agreed, but tried being lower in the volume of her voice. The tired mumble made her sigh, closing her eyes as she listened to when the fenix fell asleep.
The next day the sun was shining in through the window. Raziela was laying on there side, facing Dahria, and sleeping rather soundly. It wasn't always that someone was able to get up this close to her, but her freckles were very visible. Her make up was a little smudged, but did that really matter after a full night of sleep?

She was fast asleep like a rock with her hair in a total mess by the time she woke up. She turned her head away from the light of the outside, groaning quietly as she turned her head to look at the woman next to her. A soft smile spread on her lips as she carefully reached over and moved some hair from her face. She really was just like a sleeping beauty. Dahria pushed herself up to get a better look. Surpringly she didnt feel hungover, except a little roughed up.

Raziela looked almost at peace, but as she felt someone touch her hair she frowned a bit in her sleep, making her pout rather cutesy. However she soon enough awoke, blinking a few times as her dark eyes adjusted to the sunlight. Then she focussed in on Dahria, her curious look and was that ... admiration in her eyes? "What do you think you're doing?" she asked, sitting up and leaning herself against the headboard of the bed. "A normal good morning would've sufficed," she mumbled, trying to fix her wild hair.

She felt in a trance as she looked at the sleeping beauty, smiling softly to herself. She couldnt help but feel the need to reach out and touch the beautiful dark strands. Even the way she seemed to wake up was just adorable. “Enjoying the view,” she answered in a sweet tone, chuckling at her mumble. “I’m not good at greetings.” She said before she rolled out of bed and got on her feet. “But I’m not going to stink you with all this booze sweat stuck in my skin,” she said as she gripped her arm like she could squeeze the smell out, “Bathroom?” She asked, looking around. She was awfully cheery, which she thought would annoy Raziela more than rub off on her.

Raziela sighed at the fenix' remark, because it seemed like no matter what she did, the woman was persistent. The empusa was not great at flirting, and she sure as hell was not great at handling being flirted with. Most of her relationships - if you could even call it that - had been purely sexual; It had been to fulfill a need, not to actually feel anything besides that. The fenix moved out of the bed and discreetly the daemon watched her. Why was she making her want to reach out, grab her and pin her to the bed? Punish her in some way. However the question about a bathroom made her snap out of it. "Down the hall to your right," she mumbled. As Dahria left, Raziela would sigh laying back down on the bed, covering her eyes.

She could admit that she had her own want to just throw herself at the empusa, but as wild and rowdy as she seemed, she liked not to look a mess when she wanted to impress someone. “Thank you~” she sweetly replied to the directions before she went out in the hall. She found the bathroom and closed the door behind her as she looked around. “Niceeee,” she mumbled under her breath as she turned around just to turn again, looking it all up and down. She pulled out of her clothes and threw them on the toilet before she went in the shower.
She didnt take long, scrubbing herself with shampoo to be sure that she would smell nothing like yesterday’s fun. She whistled a melody to herself as she soaped in her long hair, frowning as she felt the knots in the long strands. She hated that this was what would happen when she didnt sleep with her hair in a bun.

Gods she was just taunting her. That sweet voice and the raspiness of the sleep, it was just pushing all the right buttons. She rolled out of bed, heading towards the bathroom, knocking on it before entering. "I'm just fixing my make up, I won't harass you," she said, looking in the mirror with a sigh. By Bael she felt like she looked like something the hell hounds had dragged in. Breathing out she started adjusting her eyeliner, it was hopefully a little salvageable.

She was still washing soap out of the thick long hair as she heard the knocks. She didnt really bother to cover up, she wasnt that shy. She rubbed leftover soap out of her eyes and smiled when she saw the empusa by the mirror. “Just wanted a peak at the goods, huh?” She chuckled, running her fingers through her long hair to try and untangle the mess. “I think you look quite nice this way, even if it’s not presentable in your book. I have a feeling you like everything to be in perfect order,” she said, sticking her head out to look at her a little closer. A soft smile spread on her lips but her eyes were sly. “Why dont you join me?” She asked with a sparkle in her eye.

Fuck, she kept at it. Why was the bathrooms gender assigned anyways? Gritting her teeth she sighed as the fenix popped her head out. Closing her eyes she breathed out, locking the door. "Alright," she said, looking directly at the fenix. Her black eyes calm as she started to undress. Her body was petite, but clearly shaped like that of a woman. She stepped closer to the shower, tilting her head to the side. "Well, are you going to make room?" she asked.

She would have thought her suggestion would have been met by another sour remark, but then the empusa complied. Dahria was pretty speechless as he watched her undress, trying not to stare too much at her body, though she liked what she was seeing. Her question threw her out of her trance and she stepped aside as she held her breath. “Oh boy,” she mumbled a bit surprised but she also smiled a little bit. “You’ve got some balls, I’ll give you that,” she said as she passed the soap, trying not to sound too entangled with adoration.
