I’ll make you mine

He listened to him explain, smoking the cigarette quietly while he contemplated the information he was given. He could see the point in smoking being a sustenance but it also just made sense from a blood drinkers view. If smoking could keep hunger down and give some sort of fullness, which a vampyre wouldnt be able to feel, then he would probably have done the same if he had been in a situation alike Gerard’s. The notion that he had smoked that night as an excuse to talk to Eden was making the vampyre smile a little broader, clearly being rather fond of the thought. He let Gerard take his cigarette, watching him smoke was just something else when it was his own. Did he even know how hot he looked while doing that? He took back the cigarette and swallowed hard when he realized how much he had been watching his lips during that. “I heard it helps the nicotine travel around the body,” Eden said a little preoccupied in a low tone. He felt that itch to just reach out, but he couldnt just do that. Was he starting to feel nervous now, just a little bit? He wasnt sure. He never felt nervous, not in the slightest, no even with Loralei had he felt like this. It was like being presented with the best blood and no permission to indulge in it.

He seemed to be little more aware as Gerard mentioned something he had barely thought about. Maybe he had done a lot in the nephilim’s eyes, but he wasnt sure it was a bigger gesture than him giving up a meaningless sum of money. What else would he have spent it on if not Gerard? Probably nothing. It would just stack up with the rest and make him climb a few ranks among his peers. He looked down at Gerard’s hand as it fiddled with his shirt, looking back up at the seraph with curious eyes. Had he seen through him at this point? Not that he minded, it only made sense that he would be able to tell. He liked the feeling of the warm hand on his chest, it was just everything that wasnt Loralei. He was completely mesmerized by the other man, shifting between his eyes and his lips as the tension inside of him only seemed to grow. Would he implode if they kept on going like this? The confession made him nod as he had noticed somewhat, but then Gerard said something that made him frown a little. Not in anger, but more to show how serious he was taking in those words. “You want to see the side of me that I’m holding back?” He asked. He could feel that itch in his hands to reach up and touch him. He hadnt been shy to touch him before, but it would feel different to do that now. “The last thing I would ever want to do is hurt you Gerard,” he spoke rather truthfully, reaching up despite his worries, to cup the nephilim’s face in his hand. He felt that cheekbone on his face with the slight hint of scruff from shaving, swallowing hard as he looked at his lips. “All I’ve wanted to since I saw you that night on that bar is to make you happy. Keep you safe. And protected,” he said in a low murmur, feeling his breath tremble a little, which was funny because he couldnt really be cold, just overwhelmed by emotion.

It really wasnt a matter of Eden not wanting to show him, because there was nothing more he wanted right in this moment. Maybe it was all amplified further by that need to defy his sister, but under that was there something genuine as well. If that was a good thing, only time would show. His question sent sweet shivers down Eden’s spine, like honeyed whispers seeping right into him. There was nothing to deny as the seraph wanted permission and Eden just watched him like he was in a trance. The cigarette fell from his hand and rolled off with the soft wind down into the garden, leaving his other hand free. The whisper felt like a tease, because how could he really relax when he had been thinking of this ever since they met? Planned out in his mind how it was supposed to be and yet it hadnt even hit close to what was actually happening? He felt those warm lips on his and for a moment he stood still before his free arm wrapped around the seraph. He returned the kiss in a gentle motion, letting the seraph breathe if he needed to but rather eagerly he wanted to kiss him again. And he did, quite passionately too while his body seemed to tense up slightly in sweet agony, pressing the other man closer. “Gerard,” he whispered in a longing tone against his lips, kissing him again, his hand around him grabbing a little onto his clothes.

He didnt realize he was getting ahead of himself before the seraph broke off the kiss and reminded him that he wasnt fit for the vampyre’s pull. Eden chuckled and shook his head at himself, but he was actually feeling a little nervous being here with Gerard. As intriguing as it might be, and how his body seemed to long for more, there was also something so exciting about this. “I’m sorry. I didnt mean to try and squash you like that,” he chuckled softly, looking at the other man with soft eyes.
He was glad that he wasnt moving away and stood here close to him. His words made him first frown, worried he had ruined everything but then the words about sleeping next to him made a broad smile spread on his lips. “I’m glad you’ve made up your mind,” he said in a sincere tone. His hand slowly released it’s grip around his clothes and instead rested against his lower back. “We should go inside before you get too cold again,” he whispered gently, running his thumb down his cheek before he a little reluctantly let go.

Eden definitely didnt want to let go either, just keep him close and wanting to feel more of hos lips was all on his mind. But if the seraph wasnt as experienced as he had mentioned once before, they had definitely taken quite a step tonight. He followed him inside, closing the door behind them. “That’s alright. It’s already made and kept cool for whenever you feel like it,” he assured him. He reached out and entangled their fingers, smiling at his question with a short nod to confirm. “Yeah I can show you around,” he said before he decided to take him through the dining room, telling him shortly about it before they got onto the living room. He let Gerard look around and answered any questions that he may have, let it be the interior or something completely silly. He had a rather big family oil painted portrait hanging above a fireplace, clearly from older times.

“I was quite young,” he answered, sighing to himself as he shortly looked at the painting. It was quite weird for him to look at because he knew of it’s story and how his sister hadnt been there with the rest of them. It wasnt something he felt like mentioning because all in all it wasnt something noticable in the way it was painted. It was as if she had been there when she hadnt. He moved on to the hallway and led him to a room all the way down. He didnt really want to show the rest, as it wasnt as important as what he had in mind. He opened a door to reveal a smaller room compared to the dinnerhall and living room but still rather big. It was filled with collections that he had either gotten himself or gotten from his sister whenever she decided to visit. All from small rocks of different sorts to bigger valuable things like artifacts or simply souvenirs that represented the place that it came from. “You can touch whatever you want,” he said, as he had only heard the opposite all his life.

He was definitely in his own mind, the question not really reaching him at all. It was partly why he decided to cut it rather short and show the most interesting he had to offer while he could think of whatever was stuck in his mind. It was a little bitter because he realized he had forgotten all about her when Gerard had kissed him and now it was like she was back in there, taking over. He heard the murmur, but he let Gerard take it in on his own, crossing his arms and lean a little against a pillar in the room. Because pillars were definitely just another prententious way to flaunt wealth. The question made him sigh, shrugging a little. “Yeah,” he answered, trying not to seem too distracted but it was hard. Just the question made him think of her and their travels. “I used to travel whenever I had the time. But lately I prefer staying at home,” he explained, because it wasnt that he didnt want to answer solely because he asked but he just didnt want the thought of her to haunt him once again. “Most of these things are probably older than you,” he remarked, shrugging a little.

He looked at Gerard as the nephilim shook his head, clearly a little confused as he started saying it was him who overstepped and therefor should apologize. Eden frowned a little and sighed against his knuckles, still holding them to his lips. It was clear to him that whatever bubble the seraph had been walking in seemed to have been bursted. He felt a little guilty because it hadnt been his intention at all. "I dont want you to leave," he admitted, looking at Gerard with serious eyes. He wasnt sure where that was coming from, hadnt he just said that it was his own fault?
He shook his head, moving the seraph's hand off of his lips as he stepped closer to him, gently cupping his face in one hand while the other held onto his hand. "If anything, I’d like if you kissed me some more,” he said, just to clarify how he was feeling about the whole thing as it seemed that Gerard was thinking something else.

The murmur made him smile softly, because then all wasnt lost and there would still be some hope. He would have hated for the night to be ruined, especially because it was the first they had in a private setting. The compliment on his house made him smile a little, gently caressing his cheek, just taking him in despite the small bump they had just passed. Maybe he was a little thankful for the fact that he hadnt scared him off or made him feel too uncomfortable. The chuckle made him shake his head as he looked down for a second, finding it humorous. “Dark and gothic? Shouldnt I be wearing different clothes as well?” He asked with a raised eyebrow. “What’s the stereotype? Long silky hair, buttoned up shirts made of pure embroided sateen?” He asked, chuckling softly, though a charming smile fell over his lips. “Who says we havent just adapted to the newer times so we wouldnt be noticed that quickly?” He asked, moving his hand down to gently fiddle with Gerard’s collar.

He definitely agreed on the fact that older vampires were romanticized, but he also thought they were exagarrated. Sure a vampire was supposedly a naturaæ charmer for good reasons, but the media seemed to believe it was about making that into the greatest lovestory. He found it a little odd but then again he didnt know what love felt like; even if he believed fully that it was what he was starting to feel towards the seraph. He liked watching him kiss his thumb, his words soft and innocent. “For humans yes. For us, memories,” he remarked, feeling his breath stagger slightly as Gerard’s lips seperated right at his thumb. He kept his composure otherwise, simply watching it. “Your blood?” He asked, looking up into the other man’s eyes. “Well,” he sighed, running his thumb over his lower lip, opening his mouth just a little more because he definitely liked the sight of that. “It’s like if heroin had a smell. It may not be pure, but it’s just as addictive. We have to be careful when we drink from sweet blooded creatures like you because no other creature will match the delicious taste you have,” he explained, drawing in a deep breath before he decided to remove his hand before he would get too excited. He gestured for Gerard to follow, taking them back to the livingroom where he grabbed a bottle of wine and some glasses, red or white depending on what the seraph preferred.
